Howdens - Harlow レビュー 

I was in a terrible state.

My kitchen ceiling had just collapsed via a burst pipe, everything totally ruined. I did not know where to turn to first.

Thankfully, after such a terrible experience, I needed someone who could not only replace my kitchen but to make it even better than it was before.

After searching the net I came across Howdens at Harlow. Next to getting out of bed that day, it turned out to be one of the best decision I've ever made.

I got hold of their telephone number and spoke to an extremely charming lady, Sarah Allen. From the first moment we spoke she made me feel completely at ease, and we arranged for her to come down to (what was left of) my house to go through what I wanted.

I say what I wanted because I have to be honest. I had been elsewhere and I told them what I wanted. Sadly the people I spoke to were the complete opposite to Sarah. Whilst she was helpful, charming and friendly they were the complete opposite. It was not what I wanted in my kitchen it was what they wanted in my kitchen. I wanted 'X' they said no I can only have 'Y'. As I said, completely against my wishes. In my opinion that's not the way to do business. Sarah was the opposite (thankfully).

So she came to my house and was the ultimate professional. We went through what I wanted and we arranged (after she had measured up the kitchen etc) for me to visit the showrooms in Harlow.

When I got there, I went to reception and, like Sarah, I was met with a friendly face and shown into a lounge where Sarah had produced a top-notch 3D AI picture of my kitchen. Very impressive. We went through how the various colours etc would look side-by-side and asked me if I was satisfied or if I wanted to mix-and-match. Suffice to say the time just flew by. I had never experienced such service before. From choosing my taps, to the cupboards, the draws, the full monty ... it was great.

At the end of the appointment Sarah asked me who my builder was. I told her I had been recommended this person by a friend. Again, someone must have been looking down on me that day.

Lee Adams, of Lee and Sarah Adams (Lee Adams Carpentry & Construction Ltd) wasn't just great, he was what every customer wants and needs in a builder. He was extremely knowledgeable, knew what he was doing, totally professional and, dare I say it, a total gent. He too came down, and within a short while we had worked out what was needed to be done and how long it would take. When I mentioned that the sink needed replacing, the floor needed repairing and the gas needed attending to he put my worries to a stop.

Underneath Lee, he has a bevy of extremely talented and professional people who amazed me one after the other. I was somewhat worried beforehand how, after finding a competent and able builder, I could do the same with the other people required to put my kitchen back to how I wanted it. Lee, like Sarah at Howdens, put my mind at rest immediately. One after the other professionals under Lee's guidance was better than the previous.

In no time at all I had my new kitchen.

After not having one for so long I just can't tell you what it looks like. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is such top quality. From the cupboards to the drawers, from the tiles on the wall to the ones on the floor …. everything was top notch.

Even when small problems arose (as with most ventures like this) Lee managed them so well I can't begin to say what a godsend he was. Others may have wavered and begun to show cracks (no pun intended) but Lee was superb.

The only thing now is that he and Sarah, along with the magnificent Sarah at Howdens (Harlow), did such a good job it's put the rest of my house to shame (lol)

So, to conclude, I cannot recommend both Sarah at Howdens (Harlow) (along with the rest of her company) and Lee of Lee and Sarah Adams (Lee Adams Carpentry & Construction Ltd) highly enough. If you get either or both of these people to do a job for you, you can rest easy in the fact that you'll be in more than safe hands... and in these days what more can anyone ask for.

Thank you Sarah & Lee for making my dream kitchen a total dream and not a nightmare. I never imagined it would be like this but I thank all concerned for helping me out in my darkest of times.

The young lady called Katherine, that went through total ordering experience of our kitchen ,was excellent ,professional and extremely patient .could not imagine anyone more easier to deal with… well done!

From start to finish it was a fun experience. From designing to finishing touches, Howden really made the process so simple. My kitchen looks amazing, I have everything I want. And more ideas that were suggested by my designer that just work so well!

We dealt with the Harlow branch and were fortunate enough to be dealing with Sarah the designer at that branch. From initial contact, through the home visit to the presentation of her designs at the store was carried out in a professional and friendly manner. At no point did we feel rushed by Sarah and she really understood how important getting everything as near perfect as possible was for us. She produced four designs for us and even then was happy to spend a VERY longtime at Harlow tweaking the design to ensure we were 100 percent happy. Her communication with our installer was exceptional and at no point did I feel I had to worry that there was not a safe pair of hands looking after delivery and installation. We are 100 per cent happy with Sarah and Howdens products and the finished kitchen!

Howdens Harlow staff are always keen to help, Dave the kitchen designer is first class with his ideas and engaging with the end user customer. A very professionally run branch

This review relates to Hoddesdon branch not Harlow
Ordered and paid for kitchen units and appliances in April 2025 and said at time of design visit and ordering I would be waiting on the builders availability before asking for delivery. Once builder started he contacted Howdens to arrange delivery and was given a date of Wednesday 20 August. This was then delayed by Howdens to Thursday 21 August. On Wednesday my builder was informed by Howdens that all that could be delivered on Thursday were the doors and hinges. Not much use without unit's to attach them to. When ordering I was told the only items with longer lead times were doors as units were all standard items. Moral of the story is don't believe what you are told about availability and delivery.

Details of order I had issues with in the email trail below which includes a payment reference number and the original estimate number is ???????

As of now in spite of builder being promised first delivery today I have two tradesmen sitting doing nothing waiting for units costing me their wages to do nothing.
To say I am unimpressed is an understatement and I shall be posting this on trust pilot.

Sent email to reviews at Howdens and no response. Even worse now is it had become apparent that walk units have been measured incorrectly and do not actually fit in the space between walls without having to cut part of walls out. The builder has emailed Howdens about this and had no response. Quite frankly shocking service
