Hello, my partner & I started a small business locally in Hove in 2020 and prior to this I have used Howdens to supply kitchens for projects & have always found the staff to be helpful and the products to be of good quality.

Previously I would just use a default cash trade account at the counter. However, recently when I called for a price from the Brighton & Hove branch, Peacock Industrial Estate & was advised to set up a proper trade account.

Adie assisted us and got us up and running the same day, quoted + took our order so we were able to quote + book in our customer right away. He was helpful, friendly & made us feel welcome right away.

Since then the team has been very personable & helpful. I especially find the website quite helpful to help me provide a quote to customers and book in collections, keep track of our account and so on. To be honest I didn’t expect the website to be very good, but it is quite easy to use.

We look forward to doing much more business with Howdens in 2022.

Recently bought my kitchen from Howden’s Hove. Kitchen was expertly designed by Faye Nunn. Really happy with the overall service, especially the attention to detail that Faye gave us. Would highly recommend Howden’s Hove!

I can’t recommend Howdens’s in HOVE enough! They have recently helped me on another project and have been ‘again’ so very helpful. At a time of year when deliveries are an issue, the team worked very hard to help me meet my project deadline! Impressed!

October deal. Pressured my customer to take kitchen. Then never had in stock all of the units. Still waiting now for a unit. And I had to go to three of your branches to be told they had the unit I needed but can’t have because they’re stock tacking ! Sending this review now on Saturday night. I’ve just got home from trying to appease my customer from you the company I recommended !

Ashley and Mickey are fantastic and always give me great help, advice and service and I always recommend my friends to talk them and buy from them. Recently bought a kitchen for a customer who is very very happy. A good branch.
The one thing they could do better on which isn’t a biggie is to offer a fitting pack with every kitchen like other branches offer - it is always useful and a great way to move stock items 😏

After a good start with the design process, now it has come to actually delivering the kitchen I have ordered and paid for, I feel totally let down by Howdens’ Hove depot. I certainly couldn’t recommend them because the customer service has been appalling. First I was pressed to have my kitchen delivered by the end of October, although I was told via email that some drawer fronts wouldn’t be available until mid-November. No problem, we thought, and the fitter was booked in. However, when the order arrived, “just some drawer fronts” turned out to be nearly half my order, including wall and base units and a corner fillet, which meant we couldn’t even start fitting what we had. Also one unit arrived broken and another was twice the depth shown on the design – we were told that the fitter would just have to cut it in half. On complaining to Howdens we were informed that the missing items would not be available until 1 December – ie, not for another month! After an angry phone call, this was brought down to a rather vague two weeks for most of the missing items and, to add insult to injury, our contact implied that as it was a smaller order it was not really a priority. My builder has since tried to get some progress via Sam at Lewes depot, who has been very helpful. But my overall impression of Howdens in Hove is that they are extremely unprofessional and appear not to give a toss about the inconvenience they have caused to either their customers or fitters, who have lost time and money trying to sort this mess out. I certainly would not use Howdens again after this experience.
UPDATE: Last week, more than two months after my initial delivery date, I received the final missing item (a dresser end panel) from my Howdens order. I am generally pleased with the quality of the kitchen, although a drawer collapsed after less than a week due to being supplied with a single screw holding on the runner and an oak worktop has slightly warped. But the delays and hassle involved have caused a lot of problems and stress for my household and have had a knock on effect for other tradespeople, who have been unable to do their work. I have upgraded this review to three stars but feel this is quite generous in the circumstances.

Spot on. Great products decent price. Use them almost daily
