Would recommend Danny for help with design. He took everything we wanted for our laundry room into consideration and advised us on our options. Design, order and delivery quick and easy.

From the first enquiry to delivery of our kitchen, the team of staff at Howdens from Matt who can to measure and help us with the design to the others in the team Jo and Dan everyone has been so great and patient with us.

I would really recommend going to visit the store. We are really happy with our new kitchen and will be recommending friends and family to visit you.

Dan was really knowledgeable and helpful with our order, it came speedily and despite a damaged item, the responsive of the team to resolve the issue was great.

Brilliant Service - we purchased our kitchen from the branch and were so impressed with the service we recieved by Gary and his super team. Everyone at the branch is friendly, willing to go the extra mile and always available to help solve problems! Our kitchen was fitted and everyone who has come by to visit loves the finished product. Highly recommend this branch!

Terrible Kitchen design and Customer service.

The room wasn't measured properly, meaning some units wouldn't fit, and they don't take into account pipework behind units.

They couldn't supply units which are in their brochures.

They delivered the wrong units, and other items were missing

They were very expensive for add-ons, so we found better and lower cost items easily online.

Howdens Hornchurch have not wanted to resolve the problems. I have a very experienced fitter/builder who have wasted a lot of time and money in dealing with Howdens. They and we are totally frustrated with dealing with Howdens Hornchurch - there are plenty of other depots locally, who have a better reputation.

We are very disappointed.

I am writing to express my disappointment at the service I have received recently.

Initially my delivery turned up on the 03.11.23, despite there being no agreed date at the time and I had to send it back. I was then asked if the customer would pay to store the kitchen despite it being Howdens mistake.

The communication I have received from Howdens has been very poor. I feel like I was constantly chasing and nobody was getting back to me, at one point I even asked a member of the staff if I was being deliberately being ignored.

The order was redelivered on Monday 27th, I’ve got to say the driver was very friendly and helpful.

When I started to install the kitchen on the Wednesday, I found I was missing an 800 corner unit which was left at the warehouse by mistake. I had to return to the store to collect this myself.

The boiler housing cabinet I was given was a 500 wide & should have been 600, I went in to change the item and was given a 600 normal wall unit, I had to return to the warehouse to collect the correct one. In addition to this, the depth of the boiler was not measured properly, so I had to bring the cabinet 40mm off the wall which also meant I had to change the end panels for a large panel and cut them to size.

Prior to delivery the order was amended to include two large larder units and I was delivered standard height end panels to go with them which had to be exchanged for tall ones.

I was also missing a 500 high line door, a hinge for fridge freezer door and I was missing a filler (KFR9489) as only one was ordered and I needed two.

The kitchen that the customer purchased didn’t come with a cutlery tray, when I asked if it had been missed the member of staff told me that it was not on the order and the customer would specifically have to had ask for it, this seems pretty ridiculous as I’ve never bought the kitchen that didn’t have cutlery tray. I bought one at my own expense as I thought it would be a bit too embarrassing to pass this message on to the customer, especially as I’d recommended Howdens to them in the first place. I mentioned to the member of staff considering all the inconvenience that has been caused to me you think they might do this as a gesture of goodwill, this was basically ignored.

All in all I was left feeling very frustrated and underwhelmed by the experience at Howdens Hornchurch and I’ll definitely think twice before going back there. I wasted a lot of time going backwards and forwards and at the same time paying a coworker a day rate whist I had to deal with all these issues.

I am a new customer to Howdens and had excellent customer service and very helpful staff.
