Helpful and efficient

Pocklington branch
Called in for window boards and some consumables. Asked for 3 and was told they were in stock, on moving to the store room it transpired there was only 2 & the guy said come back tomorrow for the other. Managed to do the job with 2 so never returned. Was charged for 3, for months & months was chased for payment despite explaining every time what had happened. Even had some clown in credit control tell me the branch had checked stock levels so the bill was correct. Had another call from credit control saying I am ignoring them & avoiding calls, again explained. Finally was given a credit note and at the same time asked for payment. Joke of a company will never ever use again

Went for a consolation about a new kitchen. Service was great - very knowledgeable, great ideas.
Decided to change the plans and no longer needed the kitchen
Have since received several emails demanding over £11,000 in payment and a threat of court action if I do not pay

I ring the branch, they confirm this a mistake, the emails keep coming.

The staff at the Pocklington branch are fantastic. Always polite and pleasant and happy to help when problems arise or with missing items.

We have recently purchased a new kitchen from Howdens Pocklington, our experience has been great from start to finish. We went with our thoughts and ideas and Andrew White was able to bring them all together within our specified budget. He was incredibly knowledgeable, approachable and the process was seamless. Would definitely recommend.

I have been in the trade for nearly 20 years and never come across such a joke of a depot! Howdens as a whole is a good company but stay well clear of this Depot, The Manager, The designer, the sales staff are incompetent, repeatedly lie and "fob off", total jokes.
The kitchen was completely messed up on ordering, wrong items sent, endless missing items, standard height larders sent when the kitchen was extra tall, as this was paint to order, the doors had to be re-made! no worktop supports sent which none of the depot even knew what they were, I had to ask for an fitters manual and highlight the parts they were meant to supply. Wrong plinths ordered, there were damages to doors, which took weeks to replace. They completely missed the worktops in the utility off the order, despite them all being written in the plans. Several handles shorts, 7 lengths of framing short! it was not even small mistakes! it was a complete car crash! Between myself and the customer we must have made nearly 100 phone calls to depot regarding this kitchen. We were promised dates, deliveries and return phone calls time and time again which never happened.
This kitchen was delivered on the 13th October (and the original delivery date was pushed back to this date, this kitchen was in the works months before delivery so how they got it so wrong!!) with missing several missing items, these were not delivered until 17th January!! absolute jokers.
Took until March for the manager to actually sort my account out as I refused to pay as they had charged again for the damaged items, the missing items, and the items that had to be re-ordered as the designer ordered the wrong ones to start with. I had to email the director who had to get his area manager involved to get anywhere.
Clearly the designer tried to cover his mistakes, the sales staff just fobbed you off constantly and as the the manager..... very surprised Howdens have this guy at management level!
In 3 words.... USE ANOTHER DEPOT

The excellent pricing amazed us. Good service. The kitchen plan was exactly what was required. Altogether satisfactory apart from the odd item missing when delivered. I would gladly recommend them.

Please do not use this company. They do not care once they have your money! I have been living in hell since my kitchen was delivered. The designer had measured my kitchen wrong! And not only once but multiple times, had not taken into account things like Stopcock, pipework - the list is endless. I have ended up with a 'bodged' kitchen where items do not fit and it looks ridiculous. I have cried for 2 weeks solid. I have had to pay trades people extra to come in and move stopcock and sockets etc I am over £1000 out of pocket. I have spoken and written to customer service. Apparently their design service is "Complimentary and for illustrative purposes only"! Absolutely disgusted! AND i am still waiting on 3 doors and the kitchen was originally delivered 14 days ago! AND the 'designer' has made these mistakes before! Clearly needs some training and supervision!

Friendly and very helpful as always- fantastic service and top quality products you can rely on. Bought a full set of oak internal doors - which are very well made and far superior to the competitors doors. Thanks again guys
