I used Howdens Southend on Sea. Joe the delivery driver was very helpful. He went above and beyond and was very patient.
But all the Staff in the Southend brach are very accommodating

great service and had all items I wa looking for.

I have recently opened an account at Howden to replace base units and worktop on a job for a customer.
I was told I would have to wait for the worktop as it wasn’t in stock.
This wasn’t an issue.
Within this time I was sent a £50 voucher which I used when I went to collect kitchen items.
While waiting forever for my few items to be picked I noticed new account holders could choose from four different items.
I said I will have the spirit levels only to be told I can’t because I’ve had the voucher.
Whilst continuing to wait outside I noticed Easter bonus of receiving a box of riser screws.
I enquired about this as I ordered my kitchen items in the time frame shown only to be told I should have collected items what was in stock and come back for worktop and i would legible.
Who’s going to do that?honestly.
My few items were eventually sorted and put in my van.
I delivered them to customers house only to find out there is a kitchen door missing.
When I phoned howdens, I was told someone should have told me that this particular door isn’t in stock and will get a call when it is available.
I’m still waiting since Wednesday and now it’s the weekend?
I’ve been appalled by howdens, considering it’s my first order with only a few items required.
Really disappointed.

We visited Howdens in Southend, first of all met a lovely man called Colin on the front desk, so helpful really impressed, we organised to meet with Steve Linney a Kitchen Designer. He put himself out so much for us arranging to come to our home on a Saturday which suited us on his day off to set out his initial design for our kitchen . His finished design for our kitchen is amazing I can’t thank him enough, so professional and knowledgeable I felt so confident in all his wonderful suggestions to make our kitchen look special. The cupboards we chose are extremely well made and the finished result is stunning. If you are looking for a helpful knowledgeable kitchen designer I really can’t recommend Steve Linney at Howdens Southend on Sea, pleased we chose Steve to organise our kitchen thank you so much.

Called into southend branch, and spoke to Colin , he was very helpful tracking down a a breakfast bar top that had been discontinued. My customer had there kitchen supply 7 years ago, and wanted a island to match , and all worked out perfectly. Colin manage to get all the units & top in warehouse the following week. I used Howdens Southend for my design. Tom Caton was my designer and was great to work with. He made the whole process easy, listened to what I wanted and really supported me to achieve it within budget. He was available to answer questions from me, and my builder. The overall finish is fantastic, I am so pleased with it.

We went to Howdens on the advice of our builder in relation to developing a utility area within our garage. Maddy was an excellent designer & worked speedily & efficiently on a plan for us. We were most impressed by the presentation room at the Southend depot & the guy on reception was also personable & helpful. Unfortunately we had to put the design on hold as an opportunity for the purchase of a bungalow re-emerged. Maddy so impressed us with her manner & helpfulness & we would be very happy to go back to her & Howden for a future home project.
