Milo and his team were so helpful throughout the entire process. As an American living in the UK on a graduate visa the odds were already stacked against me. Using the how to job method Milo clearly laid out allowed me to get more meetings in 60 days than I had the previous 7 months! Milo was incredibly helpful when it came to helping with the negotiation phase as well. I can happily say I’ve secured a job (and eventual visa sponsorship once my current sponsorship expires). I can’t thank Milo and his team enough and would recommend them to anyone looking to navigate this insane job market we are all dealing with.

Paid £288 up front, non-refundable, whilst 12 months unemployed. The access itself is a platform of video content. Some of it was genuinely useful, particularly the material on using LinkedIn connection notes to network directly with hiring teams rather than firing applications into portals. I took that method seriously and tracked my own activity daily.

The problems are the value and the follow-through. The core tactic also requires LinkedIn Career Premium (an extra £29.99/month) to be workable, which isn't made obvious up front and adds up fast when you're not earning. The "coaching" element is really just check-in calls you have to book yourself. Milo never once followed up proactively. When I eventually went quiet after the process didn't work out, there was no contact from his side at all. For a service pitched partly on personal support, that's the weak point.

There was also a soft "prices go up Monday" nudge on a Friday call. Not aggressive, but the standard urgency tactic. Worth going in with realistic expectations: you're buying content and a method, not sustained support.

I can personally say that Milo's approach toward contemporary tech job search is efficient and provides real results. I was in a position where I wasn't really "lost" in my job search, but I didn't get the offers that I wanted at the moment. My goal was getting a well paid job in tech industry, ideally a long-term contract. Where Milo proven to be really useful was in enlightening my current position, understanding what concretely went wrong so far, and building a proper approach for me. Many people get deluded by these various generic suggestions that are not working in their case. Milo can perfectly understand your particular case, where the problem is and what you should improve. Definitely worth cooperating with.

I had a genuinely positive experience with How to Job. What stood out to me the most was how practical and structured their approach is compared to the usual “apply everywhere and hope” strategy.

One of the most valuable parts for me was the call with Milo. It wasn’t just a generic session, it actually helped me understand my job search strategy in a much clearer way. We discussed how to approach applications, how to build my positioning, what to say (and just as importantly, what not to say), and how to communicate more effectively with recruiters and hiring managers.

The guidance around networking, positioning, and reaching decision-makers was very useful. Instead of just sending out CVs blindly, I learned how to approach the job market more strategically, which made a noticeable difference in responses and interview opportunities.

That said, I do think this kind of program works best if you’re willing to put in the effort and actually follow the system. It’s not a magic shortcut, but if you apply what they teach, it can definitely improve your results.

Milo Sevelj and his team at howtojob have been well ahead of the curve for years when it comes to how to go about navigating the application process in the modern day job market. They completely re-wrote the playbook, and were the main driver behind my landing a role in wealth management. I couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I can echo what others already flaged red. Very suspicious and misleading behaviour. First red flag - you have to watch a "virtual job specs" video about your chosen profession before you can do anything else. No lenght shown, no skip button. You listen like a churchgoer on Sunday. That alone is odd enough and the rest is in line with this. They openly claim HERE that they are not a recruitment agency. So when I had a call I asked if they are. Milo hesitated first before he said that they are. Which means he was lying. The conversation was uneasy. His focus was on coaching, not the job. Right after it ended my two applications on Reed through them have been marked "ended".
I don't know what he's selling and for what price, but it's not open and honest business practice. Posting fake job descriptions on job searching platforms should result with immediate ban. You can't be a training provider and a job agency at the same time.

PS: One thing Milo did right below was to basically confirm what others have noted. His purpose in the conversation was his hidden agenda, known to him, while pretending it was to discuss suitability for a job that didn't even exist. This practice doesn't make sense and will end badly sooner or later. Why he choses dishonesty instead of overtly offering training or consultancy - I have no idea.

Milo is a highly skilled coach that enabled me to get a new role last year through how to job. He is a highly organised genius that helped me to highlight my skills which I used to smash my job interview!
