I visited the metrocentre wanting to get my helix pierced so I went into H.samuel and the staff were so lovely especially Shannon she was fantastic! She talked me through everything and was just amazing

During a visit to the store today we asked for advice on which ladies watch they would recommend up to the value of about £500 .
The assistant said a good make was Bulova whose prices were in our range so I asked where they were manufactured and if they were Swiss the assistant said she didn’t know and did not even offer to find out …..we then left the shop . It amazes me that staff stand around most of the day waiting for customers but can’t be bothered to assist with basic knowledge they should know or say I’ll find out for you .

I have received the ring today but only after I did online chat with both H Samuel and DX delivery. I am not impressed with the whole process but my ring is beautiful.

I bought an eternity ring in store and they didn’t have my size so I paid for next day delivery. The sales assistant said I would get a text message with a delivery time but I didn’t so I went to online chat. The agent gave me the tracking number so I could look on the DX website. It gave me a delivery time of between 17: 33 and 19:33 today. I kept looking at the tracking and it got to nearby then suddenly disappeared then re-appeared at Gateshead. It now says it is scanned back to the Newcastle depot. I am gutted. Now I have no ring and no money. It was a present from my husband who has stage 4 cancer to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary this year . I am beyond devastated.

I don't often write reviews but i popped in to H Samuel at the Metro Centre Gateshead looking for an engagement ring. I was very indecisive as choosing the perfect ring is very hard. Lisa was outstanding, very patient and helpful. As there was a sale on i looked at many options. Having had bad experiences in the past at jewelry shops, Lisa made this a brilliant and special experience for me. Can't thank her enough for her help. Very Happy with my choice.

I visited the store with my husband as I need to replace my wedding ring, engagement ring & my eternity ring. We have been married for nearly 40years & I had to have all my rings cut off in an emergency operation last year whilst on holiday in Cyprus. I haven’t felt well enough to be able to do it till now.
Paula the shop assistant was really lovely as you can expect I was quite emotional She was really helpful in helping me choose the rings

Me and my girlfriend bought permanent bracelets… within 2 weeks they both snapped. We thought we’d give them a second chance (also paid for a guarantee). Again within 2 weeks both bracelets snapped. Very poor quality

despicable avoid avoid these cowboys....I and at least one other person have had their item for repair mysteriously disappear, the company even refuse to acknowledge my concerns and investigate the dodgy manager.....

The team at the Metro centre branch could not be more amazing if they’d tried. Paula and Kate went above and beyond to help my daughter choose a ring for her 18th birthday. My daughter is chronically ill so shopping is an awful time for us but the ladies helped us with everything that needed doing and were kind and caring towards us both. Thank you for the exceptional customer service.

Purchased two pairs of gold earrings from the shop, the salesperson was very good, purchased another pair now, good quality

Complete waste of time. Had booked 2 appointments for wife and daughter to have ears pieced, had 2 confirmation emails, so traveled to metro center went to H Samuel at time of appointment. Only to be meeted by a surly shop assistant who told us that there was no one in the store who could do ear piecing she went to the store manager who disappeared out the back. The store assistant came back and told us, the manager was trying to find out what had gone wrong. Nothing happened so we gave up and left. Luckily there was a Accessorize opposite who we're able to help and my daughters who was nervous after what had happened was treated superbly with great service .

We visited Metro centre today and after going into most of the jewellers we went to H.Samuels we looked around and we’re not approached until we asked for some help which was lovely gave my husband and I time to think about what we wanted.A lovely young assistant came to help us unfortunately I didn’t ask her name.We both wanted rings for our anniversary she helped my husband with the one he chose and they decided on the right size then when I chose one straight away she advised me not to get that one it didn’t sit well with my wedding ring but showed me a lovely one which I bought.I would just like to thank your fantastic member of staff she is a credit to your company.

Polite, respectful, friendly and professional throughout

The staff seem keen to sell a watch, but don't really offer any advice or discuss the merits of otherwise of a particular product. They serve you but that is it, nothing special, little interaction and no real follow up.
They are adequate but nothing special. I have bought several watches from the same store and I have been served but no memorable experience

Dayna and her colleagues were great at The Metro Centre, they listened to what I wanted, they all discussed the best way to create the bespoke piece of jewelry
Dayna was able to articulate the design for the jeweler to follow. along with drawings

My Wife and I visited H Samuel in the Metro Centre, Gateshead, on the 6th July 2022, for advice about her Wedding ring which is 34 years old. We spoke with a Gentleman who I believe was the Jeweler, about resizing it as the Wedding Band was now a little tight and uncomfortable for her. Sadly we didn't manage to get this Gentlemans' name, but he examined the wedding ring and gave advice regarding resizing and/ or repair if required, the gold was wearing a little thin and we were advised it may break during a resize attempt.
Following his advice we decided to attempt to have the ring resized which he proceeded to do.
The Jeweler took the wedding ring away and a short time later returned and handed Sue her Wedding ring back which looked brand new and now fitted perfectly.
Sue was in tears of joy as we believed the ring was beyond resizing and a little damaged.
We cannot Thank him for his Kindness and Expertise, you deserve a medal for making our day. We would definitely use this Jewelers again without hesitation. Outstanding, Thanks Once again.

Gary is an angel! Went in for our wedding rings and was met with the happiest of staff. The service was amazing, Gary cleaned my engagement ring and it looks like new, give me the most fantastic experience
I'm sad to hear he is going to the hartlepool store but I will be making the 40 mile journey to this store now. He really is fantastic

Really poor customer service I had a stone replaced in my bracelet it lasted 10 days I returned it to shop to be told it was the stone next to it had no claws on it. Why did they not tell me when they checked for repair? I would not have spent £63 if I had known. Feel totally ripped off.
After being contacted by customer services I have just spoken to a lady called Judith she was extremely understanding and helpful and has refunded the total amount I had paid happy customer 🙂

Came in today to get a bracelet for my goddaughter and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. I was served by John (I could be wrong I’m bad with names) and he was really friendly and extremely helpful, even getting cover for the bracelet incase it gets lost. Really happy with my purchase and the service :))
