Never used a 'whacker' before and whilst this is the smallest one they do it's still (understandably) very heavy. They always try to go forward, so turning in small spaces is tricky and having a cable to avoid once turned takes some managing. Nonetheless it worked well and not having petrol and pull starters to deal with was really good.

Completely satisfied with machine performance and power. Was good for compacting drive's base. Not as heavy as the diesel one to lift. The power lead was not an issue , you just need to stop and get it out of your way few times. I had no time limit as I was doing my own drive. I am glad I went for it and will order again!!!

At first it's a little tough to control unless you're going in straight lines, but I'm sure that's the same with all whacker plates.

The vibrating plate really helped in compacting type 1 (subbase) material in preparation for a new patio and footpath. Simple to use and the 110v version is much quieter than the diesel version.
