We used 2 for a 6x4 metre marquee on Xmas day. We hired these based on email recommendations from the staff over the phone. They didn’t hear the marquee at all and we had to end up using patio heaters. Waste of money.

Previously we have used gas heaters for emergency heating of the large hall which were noisy, smelly, needed extra ventilation and were big & ugly. These fan heaters were effective, small, and didn't need ventilation (which means they kept the heat in the room). I was able to carry both of them in the boot of my car - no massive gas canisters needing to be delivered by van. We could probably have done with another one (we had two) but were limited on the electric ring mains as they advise only one per circuit. They were only hot on the front so it was easier to keep people safe using them. As soon as the power was switched off the front cooled really quickly.

It’s absolutely useless unless you’re right in front of it. If you hold your hand in front of it it’s just warm, hair dryers are hotter. And for the price you’d be better off just buying own.
