Do not abide by ANY privacy policies. Stay well away if you are looking for confidential healthcare.

I am deeply concerned about the serious breaches of confidentiality that have occurred at Hungerford Surgery. Without ANY justified reasoning or my consent, my health records and those of my daughter have been shared with third parties. I was not informed of this until these third parties contacted me directly, revealing that Hungerford Surgery had shared our private information with them. This information includes visit details, enquiries, phone call communication, and previous health records. Additionally, incorrect appointment and booking data have been disseminated.

Repeated harassing mail has been sent to my address as a result of these actions. When I visited the surgery to address my concerns and to inquire under what legal authority our health information was being shared, the staff were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation or any lawful justification. Sharing health information without patient consent, especially that of a minor, is illegal and unacceptable.

These actions have severely undermined my trust in Hungerford Surgery, making it an unsafe place to seek medical care or advice. Health records should be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and this breach has caused significant distress.

I have previously left a negative review on Google, which was removed by the surgery, and have had to spend my perosnal time seeking legal advice to address this matter.

The behaviour and policies at Hungerford Surgery, particularly from Sonya Westbury, are appalling and need to be urgently addressed.
