Hurricane Shutters dissapoints. I bought two windows and a door shutter. The door shutter has broken three times. Once per year. Before the first year the gear box and the plastic parts failed. They are designed to. They do not warranty for 5 years, not even 1 year. You will be blamed for one of their many reasons that your shutter failed. Michael Joiner is a liar, and a shiester.

Ordered months ago. Inquired about order and was told there was a quality control issue with powder coating and the shutters would be here in a few weeks. Another 4 to 6 weeks went by, no communication. I put in a despute with CC company and then they responded. Shutters were shipped.
Correct size
They were not powder coated, they were painted and the pain it flaking off the aluminum. If they were powder coated correctly, I would have had no problem. I'm stuck with them now in Oklahoma

I ordered two windows on May 10, 2023. I was told it could take six weeks. It is now near the end of September and they do not answer phone calls, their voice mailbox is full and the one time I did reach a person, they told me they would nget back to me that same day and it never happened. That was a month ago. I now believe this company has gone out of business. Don't do business with them?

I received my accordion shutters 3 weeks after I place the order, as promised. The shipment arrived without any visible damage, but when I opened the shutters I noticed a nick on one of the panels which was obviously caused by the saw used during production. One of the bushings was also missing, so I called the company to have them send it to me. The staff was very friendly and took action immediately; however, they didn't send the part priority mail and took a week to arrive.
I have no issue with the quality of the shutters, but there is obviously a quality control issue within Empire Construction. Hence my 3-star rating.

Really nice shutters well worth the money

I recently made a long-overdue decision to install hurricane shutters on my house in South Florida. The last hurricane that struck my geographic area was Wilma in 2005. We were more fortunate than many others in that the windows did not shatter during the storm, which was quite severe. Since then, with obvious climate change, other regions of the country have been hit by devastating storms and another hurricane inevitably will strike this area again. I am so pleased and relieved that I had Hurricane Shutters Florida install both roll-down and accordion shutters on my entire house. The company was great to work with and the shutters are of very high quality. There was a short waiting time and then installation was surprisingly quick and expertly handled. All of the shutters fit snuggly, which was a concern.

I would unequivocally endorse Hurricane Shutters Florida and recommend that anyone living in a potential heavy storm area, which now seems to be almost everywhere, get the protection and peace of mind of these professionally, custom-made shutters.

They delivered top notch service with professionalism and timely fashion. The materials were the best and protect our home. I strongly recommended Hurricane Shutters to my friends and family.
