Terrible customer service; AVOID

Terrible customer service - avoid at all costs as it will waste so much of your time chasing constantly for an update. The way they treat their customers is not lawful.
We had to contact multiple times about status of delivery as absolutely no updates we’re given except when chased and finally was delivered late by two weeks, and a further day when I had to wait in for delivery that didn’t arrive, with no apology, and then £2k of furniture delivered on a wooden pallet at side of road with pallet not even taken away. Terms and conditions are not lawful as the unusual delivery terms are not highlighted to customers which they have to be - simply stating “see our standard T&Cs” is not enough to be compliant when heavy furniture gets left by side of a road on a day which you didn’t agree to be delivery day.

The owner of the service did not apologise and it took several attempts for them to finally accept to take away the pallet (which couldn’t be used for other purposes as it was broken and had nails sticking out of it). Hermes refused to pick up the pallet as it’s effectively 10 kilos of rubbish so we still have the pallet littering our front garden.

Hi Alla, we are sorry your expectations were not met on this occasion. I can see from our email correspondence that we did explain there would be a delay with the delivery, and this was further delayed due a mistake with Palletways and we apologise for their mistake. We do state it clearly on our delivery section that large furniture is often delivered on a pallet and the couriers do not always remove these, but we have arranged to have this removed for you.
Our customer service is regarded as excellent according to the reviews on Trustpilot and so this is clearly not the norm. We understand you have asked for a refund for £100 so that you can rent a car and take the pallet to the tip, whilst I am not sure this is within our responsibilities as a retailer we are looking into this for you.

Hi Lucia, unfortunately taxes are payable now on orders to Europe from the UK since Brexit, we do show this on the website but I understand it is not always that easy to know these things. We will of course refund you when the order is returned to us.

Very good quality slippers

I’m working from home so I really needed a good quality slippers, very happy with my purchase, the slippers are well made, the insole is of the right shape, aka orthopaedic one, not a flat one, very comfortable to wear.
