Would recommend Intern Abroad to anyone, had such an amazing experience and internship with them. There was support all the way through, from the first moments of interviewing for a role, right through to the last day, and even after the experience. I was lucky enough to have Marc from Intern Abroad coordinating the whole process for me, he took care of absolutely everything and was incredibly helpful, couldn’t have asked for more. I was placed at one of the top Real Estate firms in NYC and learned so much from the time I spent there. So if you’re thinking of doing an internship I wouldn’t look anywhere else other than Intern Abroad HQ.

This experience was something that I will absolutely never forget! From the moment that I arrived in Peru, I felt extremely welcome. The local team did an incredible job letting me know the cultural norms, popular food items, and other recommendations for the duration of my stay. The work in the clinic itself was unbelievable! I was able to grow so much in my knowledge of physical therapy by observing and helping the physical therapists. I can't wait to use what I learned as I continue my education back in the United States. My homestay was also beyond spectacular. I was able to live with a local family while also living with other students from around the world. With the family we ate typical Peruvian meals, attended cultural events, and explored the city. I can't recommend Intern Abroad HQ enough! It was truly a life-changing opportunity!

I felt so supported, safe and protected throughout the process and was very impressed with how quickly and kindly InternHQ responded to my questions. The Local Team was amazing and I couldn’t imagine doing this internship without the people that helped me along the way, especially integrating with a new culture in a new community.

The local team had created such a welcoming and pleasant experience during my time there. Additionally, my hostel mates were some of the best people to spend time with and I was lucky to be able to create such a genuine connection with them. The people of Tanzania were almost always kind and joyful to be around us foreigners, especially the kids! The joy I had the pleasure of experiencing here will be like no other.

My internship at Metropolitan General Hospital in Athens was truly an unforgettable experience. I had the rare opportunity to observe numerous surgeries across various specialties, including cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurological, and plastic surgery. Being able to witness such a wide range of procedures gave me valuable insight into medical practices that I wouldn’t typically have access to in the U.S.

Beyond the hospital, I was able to explore the beautiful country of Greece, meet incredible new friends from around the world, and immerse myself in a different culture. The connections I made—both professionally and personally—were incredibly meaningful, and this experience has greatly expanded my perspective on healthcare and global medicine.

Overall, this internship not only enriched my medical knowledge but also gave me memories and relationships I’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Intern Abroad HQ is a fantastic organization if you are looking for a program abroad to observe what you love! I went to Valencia Spain for two weeks observing in a physiotherapy clinic. Intern Abroad HQ made the whole process easy to complete and gave me tons of support the whole way from beginning to end. Everyone was so kind and had answers to all my questions. They were incredibly organized and kept me in line with all that I needed to do on my end. Not to mention the local team was so incredibly welcoming, also organized, and made me feel very cared for. They brought my mind to ease because they were a very secure safety net for me if I ever needed anything. They provided me a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget!

My remote internship was a highly valuable and enriching experience that allowed me to contribute meaningfully to bottlenose dolphin research. My supervisor was incredibly supportive, patient, and provided clear, constructive guidance throughout the project. The structured workflow and consistent feedback helped me stay engaged and feel like an integral part of the team, despite working remotely. This experience not only enhanced my technical skills—particularly in data analysis and research methods—but also deepened my understanding of how impactful conservation work can be. It has inspired me to continue developing in this field and to actively seek opportunities where I can contribute to wildlife conservation efforts.

I was contacted well before my internship date by my Greek contacts, who spent a lot of time getting me acquainted with where to go and how to get around. The accommodations were cozy, and everything was within walking and bus-riding distance. I had a great time and I learned a lot about the Greek culture. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was due to a bit of confusion as to where I would do observations/shadowing. Papageorgiou Hospital experience was definitely unique. Lunch advice: eat at the hospital cafeteria! The food is AMAZING!

My internship with Intern Abroad HQ and A-Massar in Jordan was a positive experience that delivered what it promised. The application process was handled efficiently, with clear communication from Intern Abroad HQ throughout the paperwork stages.

Arriving in Jordan, I was met by the local team who helped settle me into a comfortable apartment that served as a good base for the duration of my stay. Having meals prepared by our cook was convenient and allowed me to focus on my internship without worrying about daily logistics.

The cultural orientation provided by our guide was informative, offering a better understanding of Amman and its surroundings than I would have gained on my own. The visits to local sites were interesting and added context to my overall experience.

One practical benefit was the travel insurance included in the package. When I experienced an allergic reaction that required minor eye treatment, the coverage proved useful and saved me from unexpected medical expenses.

While the program did come with a significant price tag, I found it to be a fair value considering the support provided. The professional connections I made during my internship have been valuable, and I've maintained contact with several colleagues since returning home.

This wasn't a life-altering experience, but it was certainly a worthwhile professional opportunity that enhanced my resume and provided good exposure to working in a different cultural environment. If you're considering an international internship with proper support systems in place, this program delivers what it advertises.

In my experience it was great a little bit expensive but they gave me the medical rotation in the country of my dreams! I recommend a 100% very helpful and stress less.

Got to shadow and meet many friendly, professional, and helpful surgeons! My favorite part was shadowing the operating room at Greece Metropolitan General Hospital and Seeing Interventional Radiology treatments on the heart! Athens is also beautiful and full of rich, delicious, affordable food

I think this internship opportunity is a solid choice for anyone who is struggling to find local opportunities. The main barrier is of course the cost, but you do benefit from being guaranteed an internship instead of wasting your time trying to find one and maybe coming up short. The communication was a bit spotty at times but there were plenty of emails to make sure I was able to get started with the program. My actual supervisor was great and I think I learned a good amount. Also, it's nice that you don't actually have to submit anything meaningful for the weekly tasks (after starting) because I didn't feel those were helpful.

Intern Abroad HQ was an amazing program. They were very flexible with my university's requirements and time commitments. The medical internship placement exceeded my expectations. I wish I could do another one!

This internship was such a great opportunity to immerse myself in the local culture and work on my language skills. Living with a host family was so nice to have a small support system and get to try lots of tasty food! The internship work was very reasonable and also left lots of time for adventuring and exploring during time off! Overall a great experience and such a beautiful country :))

My experience was great due to the collaborative environment and the emphasis on knowledge sharing. The company excels in fostering teamwork, allowing interns to learn from experienced professionals who are willing to mentor and support us. Additionally, the structured training sessions were highly beneficial in enhancing our skills. Constructively, while the internship was excellent and i enjoyed working with them and learning new skills

I stayed a total of 3 weeks in Valencia, Spain for the physiotherapy internship and I must say Intern Abroad HQ made by experience memorable. Everything was always so organized in a way that facilitated the entire process. I had a great homestay experience and was able to meet amazing people through the program. I also learned a lot from the internship in which I gained lots of hands-on experience. I would recommend staying 4-5 weeks if you wish to gain more experience as I only really got to practice some of the skills I learned near the end of my stay. The partner organization that organized optional activities for us were amazing, however I found their activities to be quite costly on top of the internship fee. If you wish to participate in any cultural activities or do some travelling, I recommend going through another agency or finding a group of friends to go with instead.
