Always a bit nervous ordering a lot of timber online. However, should not have worried. Nice early delivery on arranged day, 62m of treated decking, all straight, true and free from damage.

Oh aye really good price too, can't fault highly recommend.

Bishop Auckland Branch - Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went above and beyond with the help they gave us especially Beth. Ordered materials at a fraction of the price of other builders merchants. Would recommend!

Damaged my drive, and gravelled area from negligent deliveries - spilt concrete all over my drive and gravel area, refuse to take responsibility. Will be going to papers as disgusting service and refuse to pay to fix the issue. Will never use this company ever again and I strongly advise nobody else does.

Super simple company to use, and when there was a problem they where just a phone call away! Very helpful and the delivery team always go the extra mile! Very satisfied customer!

I have used JT Doves for many years and have always had great service from them, particularly from Daniel and his team at their North Shields branch.
The building trade has been difficult for many over the last 3 years or so but they have always kept in touch and maintained the same level of service throughout.
Discounts are made available where ever they can be which is always a bonus but their commitment to provide reasonable lead times for materials along with their due diligence to treat all their customers with the same level of respect is priceless!

The lad who delivered hoisted the slate and gravel over my fence to exactly where I needed it saving me hours of hard work

We have used Doves frequently after moving into our new home and were really pleased with service and price. After being disappointed with the lack of response from other companies, we decided to check out Doves for our kitchen supply (we had already organised an installer). We were really impressed with the service and friendliness of the team and despite our near daily changes of mind :) finally settled upon the kitchen we wanted. Doves arranged a superb quartz counter to be installed by a Northeast specialist and they were also excellent.
Really pleased with the service from everyone at Ashington and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting a new kitchen.

Without question the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Initial contact in February 21 totally ignored, finally agreed to communicate in March 21 (an apology was made for lack of contact in Feb). Order placed 1 April 21 and today we still have missing items and incorrect items. Despite daily phone calls and emails, still no idea when they in are going to rectify this monumental cock up.

We had a load of paving stones delivered along with some sand. However, a bunch of the stones were cracked and we quickly discovered that it was the wrong kind of sand for paving. I sent an email explaining the situation and within a day, the stones were replaced and so was the sand... no quibbles, no extra cost. Very impressed, I thought it would be a right old frigmarole!

DISGRACE, took complete p*as out of my elderly grandparents. Kept them waiting around and waiting in all day for a delivery which when it came (hours late) the delivery guy dropped the stones all over the street and said he would go back and get them a new bag and never came back. So they rang up and asked and was told they’d have to wait till the next day ( this was 4pm!! So they had wasted a full day). Next morning my granda rang up and was told they’d be there by 12 lunch. 12pm come and no sign on the delivery. When they went back to the shop to ask for a refund as they felt they’d be let down- the manager gave them some sob story about the drive being stuck in Newcastle even though they were promised to be first delivery of the day, so why send the driver to Newcastle when they live right round the corner?? They went back home without even a refund for the delivery and then had to wait around until 4:45pm when the delivery finally came!! Absolutely ridiculous. The man who dropped all the stones in the street left them there leaving my elderly grandad to sweep them up. Should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of peoples kindness. Wouldnt order from these again if they were the last shop on earth!!!

For anyone else looking to buy trex composite decking products I purchased some additional fixings from JT Dove. One bag of 36 qty start clips and one box of 90 qty universal fixing clips cost me £74.11. Daylight robbery. I contacted Trex U.S.A. and they informed me prices were down to distributors, not my problem guv. Should anyone wish to use Trex, shop around first.I had no choice with a joiner on site waiting. The guy behind the counter just smiled and said "they are expensive aren't they?" My advice, use someone else.

Had an absolutely diabolical experience with a member of JT Dove delivery team , so bad I had to leave a review on Trust Pilot
Having ordered bricks and sand it was discovered after drop off the bricks had not been delivered. My husband called dove to inform them of their mistake which was rectified straight away by customer services and informed that delivery would be made that afternoon, happy days or so I thought.
So how shocked I was to get a knock at the door only to be met by a very rude delivery person.
I asked if he was from JT Dove and he said yes, I asked if he could put the bricks next to the cement on the driveway to which his response was" is someone in to give me a hand" I said there wasn't. At that point he aggressively relied "fine" then threw the delivery note onto the floor of my hallway then started to off load the bricks on path outside of my driveway.
He was driving a tail gate lorry so could easily have reversed onto the driveway and dropped the bricks right next to the cement with minimal effort so when I noticed him off loading onto a public pathway which potentially cause be a hazard I asked him if he could put the bricks next to the cement , he snapped in a raised voice and said 'I'm not your labourer.
I was absolutely shocked by his attitude and replied by telling him we had paid a delivery charge and it was dove's mistake not ours , he shouted it wasn't his mistake either but customers services . Absolutely no apology for the inconvenience or for the way he had just spoken to me, I was shocked and shaken.
At this point I told him to take the bricks away as his attitude was absolutely disgusting and never have I had to deal with such a confrontational angry person when delivering goods.
My husband contacted the office after hearing the conversation (I called him while the exchange was taking place ) and to complain, he felt the manager made all the right noises but just wanted to arrange another delivery of the bricks to sort the issue when now this wasn't about the bricks.
This person is a terrible ambassador for the company and needs to be told that his behaviour and attitude is not acceptable.
I hope management take the appropriate measures against this incredibly rude member of their team and don't simply brush it under the carpet.

We’d give them a zero after their disgusting treatment of us after leaving damaged worktops. To cut a long story short, after all the denials and then finding out their forklift driver had dropped them we end up getting over £800 back.

Never touched them since.

Where has all the stock gone seems very little available and looking on the web site its terrible only 4 items in slab paving.

Good assistant manager with very helpful staff, fast efficient deliveries at the best prices. Big thank you to Mark on the wagon who is always willing to help. Overall excellent service all round.

Made an order online, made a call to the company after a couple hours and confirmed my order was placed, great service!
