I started learning with JustinGuitar six years back and have gained far more than an ability to play the instrument. I found an inspiring teacher, a supportive community, a structured roadmap, practice tips, feedback, coaching… and the confidence to think I could be a musician, not just someone forever learning an instrument. Justin Guitar has been instrumental (no pun intended) in my guitar journey. His lessons and courses are comprehensive, tailored to all levels and he makes learning guitar the way it was meant to be - a journey that is fun not the tedious "I must practice this" approach. His approved coaches are a great way to get more one on one guitar lessons and a huge shout out to Richard Coles for his teaching!

Justin is the finest pedagogue I have encountered. He can teach an absolute beginner or a serious advanced student. If you want to learn guitar, start here! He breaks information down in to understandable bits and never leaves out a detail. It goes without saying that he is also an extraordinary player!

Justin genuinely enjoys guitar almost as much as he enjoys teaching, coaching, cheering and nudging his “students”. His sincerity, enthusiasm and humility come shining through. He makes you want to “do better”. Watched his videos for years- super high quality instruction!

I started learning guitar with JustinGuitar 8½ years ago at age 60, and it has been an amazing journey. Now I not only play guitar, but also build them in retirement. The website offers well planned out lessons, allowing students to progress at their own pace. I subscribe to the Lessons and songs app and it had provided me with a variety of songs to learn and play along with.
I have had nothing but positive experiences.

There are any number of guitar lessons online, many of them quite good. I've gratefully used a number of them yet consistently find Justin's to be the best. I can't say for sure how many years I've been following him but it's been quite a while. Maybe 15 years? In any case, it's been fun to witness the evolution of his studio, from a living room, to what looked like a couch in a basement, to now a pretty spiffy studio. What hasn't changed is the quality of the instruction and Justin's friendly persona. The instructions are always clear and well demonstrated. I appreciate how he many times teaches how to play a song at different levels of complexity. In this way a beginner can have fun playing a given song while a more advanced player can come closer to duplicating the recorded version. And frankly I'm astounded at how much instruction he gives away for free. I don't know how many years it was before I finally bought a product from him. I suspect I was feeling like I owed him something after using all the free stuff. Let me say his products are great and WELL worth the asking price. I'm an intermediate guitar player (comfortable with bar chords up the neck, some finger style and occasionally playing lead and blues) and found going through his foundational course helpful on really cleaning up my technique. HIGHLY recommend that course to anyone completely new to guitar who wants to get started. Oh, and in an example of "eating your own cooking" Justin, who normally plays guitar strumming right handed went through his own course to learn how to play strumming lefty. As you go thought the course there are optional links to Justin working on a given lesson as a lefty newbie. No ego there, and encouraging to us lessor guitarists. I could go on as well about the charities Justin supports but lets leave it at this: knowing him only through the internet he comes across as a genuinely nice guy out to make a difference doing something he loves. Check out the free stuff to get a sense of what JustinGuitar is all about. Couldn't be more risk free than free.

I started with Justin Guitar about 1.5 years ago. I am about to finish the BLIM blues course. It was awesome. I'm now doing more on guitar than I ever thought possible. Best part is, a lot of the courses are free. Not sure? Give it a free try. I highly recommend it. Be amazed like I am.

Justin Is the most compassionate teacher I've ever heard of! It's as if he reads your mind, knows what you need to do and explains it clearly. When I've been away from his lessons and get stuck, I have always been able to look at a lesson and get back on track. So many guitar masters have forgotten what it's like to not know how to play; Justin has not.

It's not often I hand out 5 star ratings, but Justin's has really kicked off my skills in the last 2 years. I've played on and off for 30 but it was Justin's that made me focus, have a defined path and reignite my passion. I've seen a few sites but this one has the best structure I've seen. It works and it suits every kind of guitarist.
