K12 - Idaho Virtual Academy レビュー 

So far I like all the teachers. They are usually quite helpful and accommodating, some more than others. One of my biggest complaints are the choices for English reading. As I have said in the past the books, poems, and readings you choose since my son was in first grade are all negative, depressing, violent, and sad with a couple of positive tossed in. For example, for the last few school seasons they have had to read Shakespeare. Love Shakespeare, he has done a ton of great comedies but do the kids get to read those? No. You choose the dark, murdering, suicide, crazy death ones in a time when kids are already struggling with depression and suicide. This year is Hamlet. Pick something fun like a Midsummers Night Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, and such. Pick something fun and light hearted for kids in the future so that they may learn to enjoy reading unlike my son who now hates it. So aside from the reading list I would recommend this program because everything else was good.

Great experience! Far surpassed our expectations.

A Great Educational Experience
IDVA made my experience great because they worked with me in a timely manner to resolve any issues that I encountered throughout the whole time my daughters attended this school.

Brendan had teachers who were knowledgeable, patient and always willing to give him the extra help or time or both when he needed it.

Communication with the school faculty and teachers has been great.

My husband was so against any type of homeschooling. I always wanted to homeschool my children. I am dyslexic and struggled throughout school. My experience was not that great. But when my son was in the second grade my husband changed his mind after a conference with the B&M schools principal and teachers. He was NOT impressed. When we left he told me, “Get him signed up with IDVA! He is not going back there!”

My son started with IDVA in the 3rd grade. He is dyslexic with ADHD. He had an IEP from the B&M school. He was put on an awesome reading program, called Mark 12, for 3 yrs and was reading more in the first year than in a brick and mortar schools 3 years they had him! We struggled to get the B&M school to work with us and his reading. All they wanted to do was sight reading. I told them he needed phonics, but they refused to teach him that. So we pulled him out and signed him up with IDVA. He had an amazing team of teachers that really helped him through it all! We are so appreciative of them and their support and encouragement. He graduated from there in 2023.

When our daughter was kindergarten age my husband was adamant that she go to IDVA. She was different from our son in that she was a reader! She was reading D and Jane books (sorry won’t let me put the name of a book that has been around for years and years and years!) before she went to kindergarten. We decided to not send her to the same school that our son struggled in. She is entering 7th grade this fall and loves it! She knows what B&M schools are like because of her cousins she is close with. She is not impressed with their stories or the things they go through. We have offered for her to try a B&M but she loves her IDVA school and teachers. I would not change my choice in how I raised my children in IDVA. Best decision we ever made.

We love that we know what they are being taught. We love that we know they are safe. We love that we can be there for their schooling every step of the way. Thank you IDVA for making that possible!

It’s been a great fit, but would be better if he could just do it on his own way less class connects would be wonderful he is showing he’s doing great with his grades

I have had my child with Idaho Virtual Academy for four years and this school has been amazing! The teachers are wonderful and the special education team has helped my child to learn and grow so much. I highly recommend this school.

Love our teachers, the curriculum and we love the inclusivity in selected stories and teachings. As well as the ease of schedule.

IDVA has been a great school for my students. It offers a variety of courses and programs for students. The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. It is a great school to help students excel and advance.

The flexibility of IDVA is great for a student that has neurodevelopment problems. The teachers are so helpful, understanding, and want each student to be successful. They are why IDVA is so beneficial to the school and their students.

Makes having our kids home for school so easy. They offer so much support and are really there for you and your students every step of the way. We are going on our 4th year and wouldn’t change a thing. My kids & I couldn’t be happier with IDVA!
