I ‘ve homeschooled both of my children. My son graduated from K-12 and is in his second semester of college. My daughter who is almost 13 has attended her whole life, and hopefully her future holds the same. I have moved a few times and I’ve utilized program in Georgia, North Carolina and Washington state

My son has been using WAVA K12 for a few years now. I love that the teachers are very helpful. My son can easily come back and complete missing assignments/days when he is away for music. I appreciate when the teachers reach out to me when he is behind on something. The site does take getting use to, to navigate (which I know a friends daughter struggled with).

k12 is the only option for online school, simply the best
my son has been enrolled in k12 since kindergarten, he is going into 5th grade this next school year and I couldn't be happier with his process in school.

I think K12 does a great job with educating and giving kids a lot of opportunities for connection. Teachers are kind and helpful. Course materials are shipped to us for hands on learning.

Great school & wonderful teachers
Fantastic teachers who are constructive, caring, professional, but also know how to keep students engaged in their schoolwork. I love that my kids have both thrived with k12 WAVA. They actually enjoy attending their online class connects, work from the comfort and safety of their own home, and feel like they are part of a positive school community. I’ve watched my kids both grow into strong, responsible, independent, and self-driven students who want to succeed. I love that as a parent I can be more involved with my children’s education and see what they are learning. At WAVA k12, learning is just that, LEARNING. No political or social disturbances, no negative distractions interfering with my children’s education as I’ve seen so much of in brick and mortar schools.
I appreciate the positive learning environment k12 WAVA has offered my kids and couldn’t be more pleased with the education they are receiving.

My daughter has been doing the K12…
My daughter has been doing the K12 program for 5 years now. She has been challenged far more with this program than she ever was at her brick and mortar schools. As a matter of fact, at one point she wanted to go back to her brick and mortar school because she missed her friends, so that lasted about a month before she said she wanted to go back online. In her words, she was bored. The brick and mortar schools were so far behind where she was in education Dad it didn't interest her. This program gives so much more of an intellectual challenge to the students. And yet she doesn't feel rushed and to complete the school work even though she has a deadline. She knows what she has to do and she gets it done. All the resources are there for my daughter to be successful with the K12 program.

It’s incredibly validating to hear how much more intellectually stimulated she feels compared to her experience in traditional brick-and-mortar schools. Wanting to return to her old school for the social aspect is completely natural, especially for a young person, but the fact that she recognized the difference in academic challenge and chose to return to K12 speaks volumes about her self-awareness and drive.
What’s especially heartening is how the program seems to strike that rare balance: offering rigor without pressure. That she feels challenged but not rushed, and has the tools and autonomy to manage her workload, is a testament to both the structure of the program and her own maturity.
You must be incredibly proud—not just of her academic achievements, but of the thoughtful decisions she’s making about her own education. We are glad that we get to be a part of her journey.
