I have recently acquired the services of Keenan's Estate Agents to manage a property for me. Although it is early days, they have swiftly completed a full report and given tremendous feedback on the property with detailed photos. They are punctual, swift at dealing with issues and they call you back!!! Nothing seems to be a problem to them and I feel as if I am in good hands. Thank you especially to both Callum and Simon, who have restored my faith in letting/management agents in Bury!

My property was undervalued by £10000- £15000. The argument behind it, which was to get more people through the door, was more to have a quick turnaround and get a commission. We spent 2 years renovating our property and had we agreed with them, we would have lost massively and couldn't have been able to afford our next property.

By law, estate agent should be advertising their fee inclusive of VAT. The agent kept the VAT hidden until when the paper had to be signed, only to be shocked by an extra 20%. The first visit was filled with marketing tricks and fake offers which turned out to be higher than other agencies.

We made the mistake of getting Keenans to value our home. Not only did they greatly undervalue it, when we declined their services, the young man who valued our house turned up, on our doorstep at 9 am the next morning demanding an explanation. (His expectations were managed during his valuation. I had told him we had three others in mind).

That morning, my husband answered the door, the agent in question didn't introduce himself, but asked if i was there. As I had managed the valuation my husband didn't know who he was. To make matters worse, when my husband told the agent that he was going to go in the house and ask me, the agent tried to step into the house, uninvited.... Causing my husband to put his hand out to stop him from entering our home.

I declined to speak with the young man, so my husband dealt with him. The agent grilled him on why we didn't pick Keenans and who we had gone with instead -- poo-pooing our choice.

For context we ended up selling our home for £40k more than Keenans valued it for, it sold within three weeks of being on the market. And we sold it for free on an online portal.

I can’t recommend Keenan’s enough. All the steam members go above and beyond.. my original buyer pulled out at the last hour and they really made the effort to find a buyer very quickly. Archie, Lawrence and Ella are the contact I deal with. All of them exceed professionalism. Thanks guys. Clare x

I would not hesitate in using Keenans to sell any property.Nikki has been more then helpful and has provided an excellent service .The team have all acted professionally and efficiently and they have been, a pleasure to deal with nothing is to much trouble .

Callum at Keenan’s has kept us fully informed and up to date throughout the process of renting out our property.

We choose Keenan’s Swinton to sell our property.
Please don’t make the same mistake!
Firstly they overvalued the property massively.
The customer service from this company is non existent.
After 3 months with a lack of interest and viewings due to their poor sales pitch we decided to change estate agents.
After giving notice to them to pull the property from their company by surprise in the last week of the notice they had a potential buyer who wanted to view! We was then told they had received an offer on the property to which we accepted. Unfortunately we had to constantly keep chasing Keenan’s for any information as we was not updated. This proved stressful for us as the lack of communication was horrendous, couldn’t get hold of the branch manager after numerous calls and excuses from the sales team like she wasn’t in the office or she was on a course etc. promises of phone calls back but they never materialised. We was stressed and stuck in limbo for weeks to find out they couldn’t make contact with the potential buyer. This left us thinking that there was never any offer just stalling tactics to sell with them and not our new agent. Selling a home can be stressful enough you don’t need the added pressure from an incompetent company like this they don’t warrant the one star but unfortunately there’s no option for zero.

My most recent contact with Keenans Rawtenstall has been great, in particular Sam who escorted me on two visits. He was helpful, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He also showed that he cared and made every effort to resolve issues for me.

The agents at Keenan’s kept me updated from instruction to finding a suitable tenant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Keenan’s going forward.

I bought a property via Keenans in Nov 2023 and was assisted by Faye & Emily. I kept in close contact with them throughout the whole process, they kept me updated regularly because it certainly wasn’t a straight forward purchase by any means and was very challenging. They were a pleasure to deal with, very helpful, and are a credit to Keenans.
We all worked well together and the purchase completed successfully.

I used Keenans as managing agents for my home when I was working abroad and needed to let it out.
The service was very poor from the word go and cost me directly financially and indirectly through stress.
When I gave notice to end my relationship with Keenans they ignored me until I made a formal complaint. Keenans ignored my formal complaint, I went to the ombudsman and Keenans misled the ombudsman, that is the last straw for me, simply breathtaking.
I would recommend anyone to avoid Keenans like the plague

Having moved home eight times and also managed a couple of major company relocations earlier in my career, I have a fair idea of the level of assistance estate agents can offer and tend to use them because of their ability to identify a 'good' buyer and to manage the post-offer process. Our initial impressions of Keenan's was positive; the local office was very friendly and achieved our asking price reasonably quickly -although our's was a very sellable house, to be fair. From there everything went downhill. The representative we had been dealing with left and from that point the local office took no further interest. We were 'managed' by someone from a distant office who appeared not to have been briefed about our situation and who by his own admission did not pick up a variety of significant issues affecting our buyer which ultimately caused the sale to come close to falling through. I found myself frequently having to tell him what was going on elsewhere in the chain. He was pleasant enough, but I wanted more than this for the fee I was paying. At the same time I received regular feedback from our buyer and also from another interested party that it was all but impossible to contact Keenan's; phones at the local office went unanswered and people had to come directly to us for information. We received no messages from the local office even when we completed; this confirmed the impression that their initial welcome and friendliness was rather phoney. I wouldn't recommend them to others in the Clitheroe area - there are several better local options.

Complete lack of honesty and integrity do some research on this company it's not good Reading. before they attempt to say I am not telling the truth just remember you upset my wife so much you sent her a bouquet of flowers. Nothing got better in fact a lot worse so you eventually apologize and reduced your selling fees to encourage me not to escalate the complaints.
I have run a successful property service for 30 years and sold many properties this is an example of bad practice
The only person they work for is themselves the only thing they can see is the commission minimum service maximum cost. If you choose to use them be prepared to do a lot of things for yourself that you are paying them to do.

Booked an appointment, had it confirmed (with a reference number). Chased them up to confirm timings, they had lost the appointment !
Totally wasted my morning and ended up in numerous phone calls.
Go elsewhere, I would hate to think how they deal with house sales based upon my experience - AVOID THEM.

Absolutely hopeless. I have just tried to engage in a potential purchase through Keenan’s, but they neither answer emails nor phone calls. I got as far as putting in an offer on a property a week ago after chasing them numerous times, but I have literally heard nothing further from them, even after telephoning yet again and leaving a message requesting an update. I am now walking away. There are a number of other agents who are very keen for my business, especially in these difficult economic times, so I will certainly not be wasting any more of my time with Keenan’s.

I viewed a property in Burnley, I was met by Andy who showed me around the lovely home, he was very professional but also friendly and helpful, a very positive experience,

Very poor customer service, fundamental errors made. Properties not inspected when promised, vital details missed on inspections.
Turnover of staff at an alarming rate, no hands off management solutions.
