Very poor service, avoid

Order placed and paid on 02/04/26, still nothing apart from order confirmation email. Have sent two emails, still to hear back. Phone number doesn't work, email is the only way to contact. Very disappointing service, I will have to contact Paypal to get my money back.
Avoid at all costs.

I used them a good few times before and never had a problem so didnt have to deal with the customer service, but this time they sent out the wrong parts, all their fault, but they dont seem to want to know about fixing their mistake. Contacting them through their website, sending emails to their customer service and even ringing has borne not a single reply. So yeah they're relatively cheap and have a nice website but go into dealing with them again? I dont think so,

No delivery even after 18 days

I ordered a Paslode IM65A F16 2ND FIX angled finish nailer £469 on 21st March, which was supposed to be delivered by next working day. We are now 8th April and no sign of this order, even after numerous attempts to contact customer services, who NEVER answer the phones or reply to emails. The order went through and surprise surprise the money promptly left my account.
This waa a much needed tool for my son going to a new job, something he needs for his everyday work life. Based on this experience I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I need an immediate refund to rebuy from a reputable company. My inability to contact anybody within the business makes me wonder if they are still trading, can anyone shed any light in this please???

I have returned all items

I have deleted my original review and reposted a corrected version below as there were a few typo's in the tool numbers and wording which allowed the company to make a dismissive reply saying I was contradicting myself or that I got the product description from a different website (I have screenshots!!)

I have returned all items - order number 165930

Bosch GDX18V-285N: invoiced as 'body in carton'. Actually arrived loose in big packaging box without accessory pack and with visible signs of damage and prior use. Bosch tools (I have many!!) are normally supplied in security sealed cardboard carton or plastic case of your choosing. Presume they are selling off customer returns as new. Seller claimed in previous reply that they split up tool kits to provide better deals to buyers, but I would question why, if this is the case, that the tool arrived without its accessories and with clear signs of previous use. Selling used tools is not the end of the world of course, but they should be identified as so, and definitely say if the accessory packs are missing like mine, and definitely not invoiced as new in carton. Massive red flag.

Bosch GBH18V-22X: advertised on their site as being in an L-BOXX. This is not true. Arrived in a W-BOXX. L-BOXX's clip together to keep everything safe on the road in your van and easy to carry to site, which is what I bought. Nothing wrong with a W-BOXX for the casual DIY-er. However, in short, that was not what I ordered. W-BOXX's are dirt cheap (£3) and L-BOXX's carry a premium (£50), and they have lied about what is supplied. Massive red flag.

Bosch GST18V-125BNCG: This was also meant to be in an L-BOXX but instead turned up in a cardboard carton. The general difference in prices, on the open market, between these options is a good £80 - and they have sent me the cheaper one, having sold me the more expensive one. Guess what... Massive red flag!

(Separate order, 165926) Bosch GSB 18V-110C + Batteries: was never shipped despite them boasting of next-day service. It took me many emails and more than 10 phone calls (none answered) to trigger a refund a week later when it was clear it wasn't coming. Massive red flag.

I would like to believe these issues are all 'human error' however I regard 4 out of 4 ordered tools incorrect, not dispatched, or substituted with cheaper or used alternatives as being poor.

I have order details, screenshots, invoice copies and photos of all the supplied goods to back up this review. I will not be removing review under any pressure from the seller. I would rather other people know the truth over some £20 credit or whatever.

In conclusion, I would avoid this seller if it is important to you that you receive what you actually ordered and paid for. I believe they are using the general tool descriptions/codes to make you think they are offering cheaper prices for premium options, whereas in reality you receive the cheapest option or a customer return - close enough to make you accept thinking its a good deal, but meaning you could probably have got a way better deal elsewhere. If you aren't bothered about the correct box, the tool being second hand and of unknown origin, or missing accessories, then maybe it's OK. Up to you.

The ongoing refund ! Do not use this company

Still sending emails about the refund owed to me. Still getting no response. I’m beginning to wonder if this company is legitimate/still trading.

Over the moon

Over the moon!
I had wanted to get my tradie boyfriend a makita coffee maker for ages and finally came to order it for Christmas. Every other website had doubled the price except Kelvin Power Tools. The website was a bit glitchy on my phone which made me slightly nervous but I switched to using my laptop and checked out smoothly. It literally arrived the next day, well packaged and they kept me up to speed via email on the shipping progress. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again!

Broken Website

Using google to search for a Bosch FSN guide rail, I was directed to Kelvin Power Tools website that losted the item I wanated and stating that the item was in stock.

After adding the item to my basket and I was aksed to ensure my billing address and shipping address were the same but having done this the website hung after attempting to save the address.

I already have an account to tried logging out and back in again, resetting password etc to see if i can access my account to update the address book.

The same thing happened after trying to update my address book after logging back into my account.

By now the item is no longer in my basket so I find the item again and try ot addit back to my basket. Now I can't add it as the website is now stating the item is not in stock, even though when the item is listed on a search it shows it as being in stock. A google search will also show it as being in stock.

I gave up a bought the item from another website.

Kelvin Power Tools lost a customer today.

I used the function on the website that would let me receive an email notification when the item is back in stock. I have received this notification already - after about 10 minutes, on a Sunday. I followed the supplied link and tried to add the product to my basket but was unable to since the website is showing the item to be out of stock!

Hello. Thank you for your review. I can see that you placed an order on our website for a Bosch FSN 1600 guide rail at 12.55pm on the 30th November, so your order did go through... We haven't experienced any problems with our website recently and other orders are being placed on our website with no problems, so it’s likely a problem with your Internet connection or browser that caused the website to “hang” after trying to save the address. We only had 1 guide rail left in stock, so if you added it to your basket when you were logged into your account and you then logged out of your account, the guide rail would then have been showing as out of stock on our website because the 1 that was left in stock was still in your basket for your account. When you add a product to your basket, it holds the stock for you so that no one else can buy it.

Made a purchase waited for a few days…

Made a purchase waited for a few days and after receiving nothing decided to give them a ring - somone actually answered the phone and promised to call back but instead i received a refund without any explanation so 2 stars one star for not supplying the tool and second star for answering the phone thank you

I have purchased a few new paslodes from kelvin i live in surrey ,very good delivery service , i also has had 2 paslodes in for service , one went missing from courier company , this was replaced with new from kelvin ,without any issues, special mention to a lady called Shirley ,very helpfull and good communication in this issue

Recently purchased a Bosch plunge saw…

Recently purchased a Bosch plunge saw and rail kit from Kelvin Power tools. Arrived the following day which is fantastic service considering I live in London and they are based in Glasgow. There was some damage to the to one of the guide rails and the zip on the carry bag but they replaced both items a couple of days later which was a very simple procedure. I’ve done a lot of research online and their prices are the best available in the UK on Bosch power tools. I have purchased items on a number of occasions from Kelvin Power Tools in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Customer Service

I purchased a Bosch GAS 18V-12 Dust Extractor that turned out to be faulty straight out of the box, confirmed by Bosch as a likely module fault. Despite returning the product, Kelvin Power Tools refused a refund, claiming it was only a blocked filter — completely ignoring the evidence provided by the manufacturer.

I was passed back and forth for weeks, forced to raise a case with Trusted Shops and my bank. Even after finally agreeing to a refund, they told me it would be received by 16:30 on the same day — but once again, that promise wasn’t kept.

Absolutely unacceptable service, lack of accountability, and no respect for the customer. I will not be purchasing from Kelvin Power Tools again.

Hello. Your review is untrue. When your dust extractor was inspected by our workshop, our technician found that the reason why it wasn’t performing as it should be was due to an extremely blocked filter, which was completely clogged with fine MDF dust particles. The inside of the machine and the container were also filthy and covered in MDF dust, as you had been using the extractor without a dust bag. The instruction manual that was provided with your extractor states that you shouldn’t use the machine without a dust bag and it also explains when and how you should clean the filter, stating that it should be cleaned regularly, especially depending on the type and quantity of dust being extracted. As evident by the state of your machine and filter, you didn’t follow any of these instructions provided by Bosch… As with any dust extractor, regular filter cleaning is required to maintain the machine’s performance. When our technician cleaned the filter, container and inside of the machine, your extractor performed as normal. He also inspected and tested your extractor and there was no fault found. Our technician explained all of this to you in his report and accompanying pictures. You weren’t happy about this and said that you didn’t have the time to clean the filter. We pointed out to you that the filter/extractor was doing its job and extracting as it should be, which is why the filter was completely clogged. You still refused to accept this and hung up while on the phone to us on several occasions. You then claimed that you had contacted Bosch about this and they told you that there was a manufacturing defect with this dust extractor model, and that you had evidence of them telling you this. Despite numerous requests from us, you refused to send us this “evidence”. We also contacted Bosch, who knew nothing about this and said that they hadn’t been in contact with you… As a “gesture of good faith”, Bosch agreed to send us a replacement extractor, so that we could refund you for your extractor. As you had wrongfully raised a Trusted Shops charge back case, we couldn’t process your refund until you closed your case with Trusted Shops. Greig asked you for written evidence that you had been in contact with Trusted Shops to close your case and said that when this was received “we will process your refund in full, ideally today if you can get back to us prior to close of business at 4.30pm”. Process is the key word here. Greig never said that you would “receive” your refund by 4.30pm and we have the email here to prove that. The response that we received from you after this was two words: “It’s done”. No evidence provided. We had to contact Trusted Shops ourselves to check that you had asked for your case to be closed. Trusted Shops confirmed this and, as promised, Greig processed your refund on the same day before 4.30pm and informed you of this, stating that “the funds should appear back into your account within the next couple of days”. Again, you weren’t happy that you wouldn’t receive your refund immediately, incorrectly stating what Greig had said to you. It’s impossible for anyone to receive a refund on the same day that it’s processed. It’s common knowledge that any refund by any shop takes a few working days to reach any bank account once it has been processed. Once a refund has been processed, it’s in your bank’s hands. It's not our responsibility to inform your bank how quickly they should refund you - that’s a UK-wide banking issue and it has nothing to do with us or any other shop. So to summarise, there was no fault found with your dust extractor and the performance issue that you were experiencing was due to a lack of proper maintenance by yourself. If you don’t want to maintain your machine in accordance with the instruction manual, then that isn’t our fault.

If I could give zero stars I would this shop is a joke bought a nail gun last year nothing but problems since I got it final got them to repair it through the warranty then proceeded to charge me £72.49 and after me refusing to pay that amount they call the police and big baldy idiot with glasses trying to threaten me calling names. STAY CLEAR OF THIS MESS OF A BUSINESS

Hi Stephen. Unfortunately you have chosen not to tell the full story here. You claimed that you were having an issue with your Senco nail gun, however after inspecting your machine, Senco found no fault. The issue that you were experiencing was actually due to you not maintaining your nail gun properly. As your machine had never been cleaned or serviced before, it was all bunged up inside, which was causing the issue. Senco stripped-down, cleaned and serviced your machine, which resolved the issue that you were experiencing. As there was no fault with your nail gun, Senco charged you £72 for the clean and service, which you weren’t happy about paying. Throughout the whole experience your conduct towards our staff has been unacceptable. You have used vile, offensive language, acted aggressively and threatened them with violence, which is why we were going to call the Police to have you removed from our premises. Due to this, you are now prohibited from entering our premises and our staff will not deal with you any further. Since receiving your nail gun back, you have contacted Senco claiming that your machine is not working again. Both Senco and our workshop tested your nail gun prior to it being returned to you and it was in perfect working order, so we’ll just leave it there…

Happy customer…

I recently purchased a dehumidifier from Kelvin Tools. This was my first purchase based solely on their price being significantly better than anyone else. Their communication and speed of delivery was superb. I will certainly shop here again and am happy to recommend them

Fantastic, friendly service from the start, and best prices.

After much research I bought my Honda EU10i inverter generator from Kelvinpowertools.com as they were by far the cheapest.

I forgot to buy a dust cover for it, so I contacted their customer service team. Greig phoned me almost immediately and ensured that the cover would be dispatched without any postage costs.

I would thoroughly recommend Kelvinpowertools.com for any of your Honda machinery needs. I intend to use them again, when I buy my next Honda generator.
