AVOID THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF . THEY PORTRAY THEMSELVES AS LOCAL BUT THEY ARE NOT . THEY ARE NOT REGULATED BY THE MASTER LOCK ASSOCIATION .
ALSO DONT PAY BY BANK TRANSFER AS THE BANK WONT REFUND THE MONEY . THIS COMPANY IS SHAMEFUL SCAMMING PEOPLE OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY

Got told over the phone that they would get an emergency locksmith out to me in 30 minutes and that the job would cost £80 plus VAT. Absolutely fine!

When the guy got here an hour and a half later than he was meant to arrive, he did the job in 10 mins or so, he then got his dojo out and was trying to charge me £180!! Didn't even say anything until I obviously pulled him up on it. I refused to pay so he took it down to 140, then 120, then 100!!

All the while he had customers ringing him and I could hear them complaining about the wait as well! Absolute joke please avoid unless you're desperate.

Would not recommend!

Stay away from these people . They give you quotes and when the locksmith guy arrives he charges you expensive as hell. How can someone charge me close to 400 pounds to break a lock (it took him less than 3mins) and put a new lock that you can find everywhere at a very cheap price and they add the « VAT » on that. He finally only broke the lock since I was locked out at 130£ . Like 130 for a 3 mins job ? . I even asked if a 100£ was possible as I was told it will be 150£ max. He said no. What the hell are these expensive prices. Stay away from this people . Will never use their services again even if I’m desperate.

Agreed to do work 56+VAT when the arrival lock smith quoted 220+VAT.

Wanted £400 for a £60 lock !

I was quoted £59 plus VAT worst case £89 plus VAT.

However, I was charged over 144£ the lock smith then went on to say when I asked about what I was told over the phone, he then went onto say that he can’t charge me £59 for this job.

If I want the £59 plus VAT then he will have to drill the lock. I was desperate but felt he was threatening.

So Under UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, traders must:
• Provide clear and accurate pricing before work starts.
• Not mislead consumers about costs or necessary work.
• Not use pressure tactics to make you agree to pay more.

If the quote was given as a “fixed” which it was over the phone and a “worst case” estimate was given, and there were no clear terms allowing additional charges, this could breach my rights.

These lock smith companies take the piss!

I rang what I thought was a local company. I asked if they were local, they said yes. They sent a technician and told me the price. A man turned up, has destroyed my door to get it. He didn’t tell me, that he needed too do that. Then asked me for 4x what I was quoted over the phone. He was pretty intimidating. I said I’d only pay what was quoted over the phone. I’ve had someone out to quote replacing the door. It will be 3k. I would avoid at all costs. You aren’t going to know who they will send out.

A pleasant young man arrived within 30 mins after call. Solved the problem efficiently.

I just connected by phone w/ keys4U. It's difficult arranging an appointment and Chinese woman on line was hard to understand. According to online ads, there's practically a Keys4U on every corner near me. My locksmith need is to replace the transponder key to my car, which their online ad described in detail and ease of replacing. Problem w/ this outfit, is that it has many different phone numbers and it's difficult to get a hold of someone to get to the source of what I need. I'm leery of Chinese online businesses since I've been burned twice w/ faulty purchases and no verifiable addresses to return or complain. Google "aids & abets" such a fiasco with all their deceptive ads online.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Not sure how they got such high score. They are just another scammer no different from the others.

We got locked out today. They originally quoted us 185£ and said it’s a guaranteed price to “open” the door. Only after the technician arrived did he tell us that “open” the door means drilling the whole lock out. He said it upon arriving at the door, not with any attempt to check anything or unlock the door. Thanks to the other reviews, we refused to continue the service as we know what’s waiting for us will be an outrageous fee for a new lock.

In completely contrary, we later on found another company who unlocked the door in 15 seconds and left the lock completely intact.

Whole experience in short- they are scammers who are incapable of unlocking doors with the best interest of customers.

Excellent service! The locksmith was here within five minutes of me calling! Our front door wouldn’t lock, he soon had it fixed for us and the price was excellent, especially considering it was a 9pm evening emergency call-out. I would recommend Keys4U for anybody needing a locksmith.

I recently had a frustrating experience with this company. When I called for assistance, I specifically stated that I only needed the door to be opened, not broken and replaced with new locks. However, the technician claimed the door couldn’t be opened without breaking it and insisted on a charge of nearly 200 GBP for the service.

At no point during the initial call was I informed that breaking the door was even a possibility. I was never made aware that this could be the only option, leaving me in a difficult position. I should have been properly informed upfront so I could make a more informed decision.

I refused the service, yet the technician still demanded nearly 40 GBP just for showing up. How is that fair?????? THEY DID NOT ISSUE A REFUND EITHER

Was promised a locksmith in 20-30 mins. Then in an hour. Then in 1.5 hours. Ultimately took 2 hours to arrive. Door could have been opened without drilling the lock, so a £69 bill unnecessarily became £870 by the end of it. The final straw was wanting to charge me another £89 to fill the hole he drilled through the door.

The company can stop telling lies to their customers and be more honest and transparent regarding the arrival time of their locksmith. I was told I'd wait between 20 to 30 minutes when I actually waited approximately 1hr 55 minutes.
They should compensate customers for their broken promises and deduct a percentage for the locksmiths late arrival, a verbal statement is them giving you an agreement when I fact they tell lies ( by the way they say their calls are recorded so I'm confident they broke their agreement).
They should also stop telling customers you can pay cash or by card, they told me another lie as I had to pay by bank transfer. And why they insist on taking a photo of the transaction which I flatly refused him to do is bang out of order.. I'd paid their bill all they had to do was to check their account .Apparently if the locksmith fails to do this he could losse his money which by the way is only 20% of the final bill. By the way it took the locksmith 1 minute maybe less to retrieve the barrel of my lock from the casing, I kid you not.the only tool he used was a SCREWDRIVER!!!! The bill.was £82 -80 a large sum for an OAP and as I was waiting for close to 2hrs and it taking him less than a minute a little deduction would have been appreciated but not a chance and based on my experience with this company I could not and would not recommend them.

Brilliant service and would highly recommend! Razvan came to my mother’s property to adjust the lock to help make things easier with her arthritis. He tried so many things to make it as easy as possible for her and genuinely wanted to help her rather than just get the job done. After many attempts but unfortunately my mum still having difficulties with hands, Razvan suggested and installed a smart lock which was great. Razvan took the time to let my mum practice using it which was much appreciated. Razvan made my mum feel very comfortable and safe and I can’t thank him enough for going above and beyond to help her. Would absolutely recommend this company and Razvan!

It was a Sunday call to release someone locked in the bathroom due to failed mechanism. Quickly and courteously sorted. Thank you.

Hired the locksmith to fix a balcony door that would not open. Credit to the locksmith as he managed to open the door when a previous locksmith could not. However, the locksmith proposed changing the broken lock mechanism for £700 (incl labour). Per the locksmith, the rationale for the high repair cost was the part alone cost £588. He justified the pricing by showing me a picture of a similar lock mechanism on his phone. As I don't think our patio door is worth more that £1K, googled the brand of the door and found that the part cost was £120 inclusive of VAT, not £588. So although the service was good, self due diligence is prudent before going forward with any proposed expensive repairs with this company. And beware when the locksmith starts off with, "you can claim the costs on your house insurance". The comment indicated that I should expect a high bill.
Although it is true you can claim lock costs on house insurances, the claim will adversely impact your house insurance premiums in the future

Quoted cost was half what I was charged as this was 'more complicated' so they charged me more. Replacement lock cost was ridiculous. Went to a proper locksmith who provided an excellent service

An appalling experience. I paid an exorbitant amount of money to have a door fixed. The issue was still there the next time the door was used. This all ought to be covered under their warranty but it seems their dishonest locksmith is now claiming it was a different issue. I have video evidence that the door is the same issue and have reported them to the trading standards.
