Excellent customer service and enjoyed my visit to the shop and being able to view the products on display. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable in advising me the best products for a gift for my chef friend.

We have a few knives which are of great quality, and have also used the knife sharpening service which was fast and done very well. Owner is very knowledgable too which is helpful seeing as we didn’t know too much about knives beforehand.

Fantastic experience buying knives from knives from Japan. My knives arrived on time and the customer service was excellent.

Went into the store on Great Portland Street to ask some advice on sharpening. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Landed up buying a sharpener that works wonders on my knives. Very pleased.

Ordered 2 Global replacement peeler blades in 2019 and paid from them but only 1 turned up , rang them up they sent another 1 st blade worked great opened last blade March 2021 and discovered it was faultysent an email to KFJ all I got was speak to Glocal not how to contact them not a good advert for Global when I got somebody to speak to them they said said it was blunt when it arrived do you think I would have waited all that time to complan if had opened it still no help from them so the aftersales is no help Glocal or their customers

I placed an order which was confirmed and payment taken. After a few days I checked the status of the order and Knives of Japan had cancelled the order and refunded the payment but without informing me. I contacted them and they said there was a pricing error and the product had been withdrawn from sale. A silly statement as I checked the site and it was still for sale with delivery guaranteed in four days, but at 3 times the price I had paid. Since they took payment they have clearly entered a contract but are obfuscating at every point. The fact they never let me know they had cancelled the order. is what irritates me most as it was a gift. Next recourse is to go Legal withe the help of Which and American Express for breach of contract

A knife sharpener I bought did not work and they refused to exchange it saying that they would only have done so within 14 days (it was a Christmas present so couldn’t do it in that time frame) and that it only worked with Japanese knives. I tried both Japanese and non Japanese knives and the knife sharpener was completely ineffective.
The box I received it in looked old and had an award from 2002 advertised on it. It looked completely different to their website. Whilst I try to support independent companies, I wish I had bought this from Amazon who have both excellent customer service and an excellent returns policy and saved myself £30.00.

It has been several weeks since my order and so far I have not got my ordered item nor money. Shop using substandard courier service which does not help and I have wasted hours of my time with them with no result. There is no help from the shop either. Won’t use again nor would recommend

Bought a global chefs knife. It was cheaper than anywhere else, I ordered it at around 11am, I had a shipment confirmation about an hour later and I received it the next morning. I really can’t fault them

If you’re thinking of ordering from this company then do not hesitate, amazing customer service. Items sent out straight away by carrier and any problems sorted straight away. Highly recommend, will definitely use again.

Great service. I ordered the knives on one day. The next day it was dispatched and soon after that it was delivered. And the knives are great. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely hazzle-free. Ordered a set of knives, quickly received confirmation and shipping notice and within a week or so, the knives arrived by international shipping. Great!

The company has a very poor customer service, literally - no customer service. They would ignore messages once you make the sale if there is a problem with the items you received.

Don't trust any good reviews on Feefo as this is another scam platform. A client cannot simply post a review there - only the company chooses who writes those reviews, so don't be blinded by the high scores.

This is rude how Knivesfromjapan.co.uk makes business and I would not recommend them. Hope this helps someone to avoid the same issue with your purchases. Good luck!

p.s. their pictures of the store on the website seem to be fake as they don't have a proper store with all that gear - that's all poor marketing and misleading info.
