Atlanta Rd store needs better management there is any at all.

The store on Atlanta Road in Smryna 30080 suffers from many ailments. Most obvious are the personnel. With one exception, the fellow in the self check out line is truly service oriented.
There is seldom if ever an assisted check out line and when they do open one up I swear it’s always for someone an employee knows or likes based on their exchange.
I asked a passing employee one time if they could open a line and this person kept walking and just rolled their eyes at me with a scowl like how dare you think I’ll do it.
This year we experienced a store closure due to rats too.
I watched an older female customer a month or so ago ask a counter worker when the fried chicken would be ready and the employee literally yelled, “I don’t know, ok”! The customer, good for her, stood up for herself and said, “you don’t need to be rude like that to me. I’m a retired school teacher and long term customer here” and then she walked away with her cart. For me to write this I have to have had multiple bad experiences. Crazy thing is the Kroger on Cobb Pkwy closed recently and this Atlanta Rd store should be booming. If this store has a manager they are either clueless or just don’t care. I wonder if this is about some corporate issue over pay or benefits cook load. What are the odds of several employees being rude to customers - regularly. My comments cover multiple visits over the last six-nine months. At a minimum - open a check out line for goodness sake. Self check out is grueling when you have $200 worth of food with fruit and vegetables to weigh.

Favorite place to Grocery shop close to home!

Several visits to Kroger and the staff on Dequindre between 11 Mile & 12 Mile in Warren, Michigan are so helpful, friendly & are willing to go above and beyond! My last visit was 11/01/25 & it was great because my card wasn't working and the associate gave me all the coupons off on my groceries and saved me $33! I wish I would've remembered her name!

Excellent delivery but some shoppers are careless and thoughtless. Think smashed bread and moldering produce.

I am a 64 year old lady who’s been unable to go to grocery shopping in person due to health issues I’ve had groceries delivered to my home 3 times. The employees are very nice, and well mannered. My frozen foods were frozen solid. No worries there. I’m sure if I would have order a rotisserie chicken that it would be hotter than it would be if I would have picked it up myself.
The shoppers have disappointed me on several occasions. I was given a completely moldy pint of black berries recently. Gross!! How’d the shopper not see this? They didn’t care. Perhaps the shopper was unskilled or overwhelmed with orders and therefore had to get the order completed quickly because there were a bunch of them that were due at the same time. I don’t know. I just wish the shoppers would use the same care on MY produce or other items that aren’t the same in size or quality. These are the sort of people who would grab a smaller, bruised apple and put it in the cart instead of an apple of the highest quality like they would if they were shopping for themselves. Can’t you stress the importance of CARING?
On a different order, my loaf of bread was put in a bag full of canned goods. My bread was smashed and good for nothing but making breadcrumbs or feeding the birdies. I fed an expensive loaf of fresh bread to the birdies and therefore was unable to have any toast with my eggs in the morning.
I’m a very shy, introverted person who abhors complaining about stuff, so I didn’t call and ask for a refund or even better, make the SHOPPER pick out another loaf of bread and paper by of black berries and drive out to my home in the county themselves. They should then be reprimanded by their boss and me.i would be respectful but firm, like I’d be with my own children, because this would be an opportunity to teach them great a great Truth about treating others are they, themselves want to be treated. Nobody wanted smushed bread and NASTY black berries except the birdies and the woodland varmits that love people food.

It's past time to write a review about…

It's past time to write a review about Kroger Pharmacy in Arlington, Tn. More than twice recently they didn't have the med ready at the time we were advised, either online or in person. Told it would be an hour wait. And it was. They give off the impression that we are bothering them. Can never get a pharmacist on the phone. Always have to leave a message and they never call us back. Senior adult discrimination because not all have internet. That also goes with digital coupons.

No customer service at the CS counter

I shop here once a week and enjoy Kroger's for the most part. Today (10/04/25) I had to return a bag of coffee that was mistakenly purchased the previous day. Arrived a little after 12PM and they had a sign stating the customer service counter was closed until 1230PM. I returned around 4:30PM and no one was at the counter. Waited 15 minutes and nobody showed up. There were 2 people standing behind me in line. I asked a Kroger employee what was going on with the customer service counter. I was advised that the employee handling that was in the bathroom. Seems to me that 15 minutes is an unusally long time to be in the bathroom but if Kroger can't afford to have someone work the CS counter while someone responds to the call of nature, then Kroger has an employee problem. Perhaps if the CEO would stop packing his pockets with money and would share some of that with his employees, maybe he could find better quality people.

Kroger on hospital dr in Douglasville…

Kroger on hospital dr in Douglasville GA has terrible customer service. There are long lines at the service center with only one person working the register. Every time I come in there is a long line. Management walks right by like everything is good.

Kroger app

Kroger app sucks!! Placed order, they charged my debit card instead of my EBT card! Tried to cancel right away! It won’t let me!!! Called customer care, they can’t cancel it. So the money will come from my bank account!! This is unacceptable!! I will do my shopping at Walmart from now on???🤬🤬🤬

DOGS IN SHOPPING CARTS! WORMS, ANYONE?

I went to the local Kroger yesterday and there was a man in the store with a dog in a shopping cart.

This was NOT a service or support animal. It was just a scroungy dog.

Hookworms, anyone?

How about pinworms?

Or, maybe you'd like roundworms!

Would anyone like tapeworms?

Maybe you'd care for liver flukes with your groceries?

I contacted Kroger and their response is that they don't have a policy for customers bringing dogs into their grocery stores or a policy for riding them around in their shopping carts.

It very literally is not possible to shop for groceries at Kroger without placing your health in danger for the rest of your life.

Whew! The Kroger Driver had a Attitude??

When the Driver got out I sd Hi, I sd today Is my 1st time getting a Delivery w (40) items
I sd I had a hip Replacement I had my Rolater w me & i had a Box on the seat & I hv ordered b4
Under 20 items b4, ive had > Luke, Josh, & Thomas they alll Sooo Nice!!!.. I "ALWAYS" TOOK ALL MY GROCERIES UP MY SELF & IVE ALWAYS CAME DOWN TO BE THERE OUTSIDE WHEN THE DRIVERS PULL UP...I sd can u help me upstairs today?? He sd (Quote) w a ugh..I hv only 9mins I hv to leave, he sd after today we CAN'T help ppl upstairs its changing?? I sd ok Really! Wow! Ok! but today w me having 40 items! He wouldn't shut up!! He kept going on & on he sd mam Im just telling u it's changing. I sd i sure won't order this many items on- one trip again i SD OK BUT IVE NEVER ASKED B4. I SD NO ONE ELSE COMES DOWN LIKE I DO!!! I SD NOO ...U ALL TAKE THEIR GROCERIES & DROP THEIR GROCERIES AT THEIR DOOR! IT EVEN Says secure your pets ect... @ the door!

I was charged twice for the same order

I was charged twice for the same order. The customer service was frustrating to say the least. Obviously in India. I have to wait 24 hours, then call back with a case number to check the status. They keep telling me to contact my bank, when they charged me twice. It has been such a convenient service, but this is the second big problem I have had with this store so I have to be done.

That statement is far from correct. You did nothing to make things right. Instead, I was treated like a child by your customer service agent. I was questioned as to why I would file a complaint with HQ. I was specifically asked what I was going to say to HQ and had to talk her out of her name and employee number. No one tried to make things right when half of my order was missing. No one attempted to deliver my items - that were delivered by Kroger. No one attempted to set up an expedited delivery for later that night or in the morning. No one offered to pay for Instacart to deliver my items on the same day. At every turn it was I can't, or they won't and the only option is the refund. However, the refund won't arrive for 3-5 business days. So, unless I had an additional 80.00 in the bank, I would have to wait for the money to be refunded before I could reorder the food.

It was not until I said I was going to contact HQ that the representative offered me a 15.00 coupon for my inconvenience. 15.00!!!???? After being put down because I called Imperial Margarine. After not receiving my items that I paid for. After not getting my items redelivered to me... 15.00???!!!!! After being chastised for wanting to cancel my boost membership because she said I was upset and should not be making these types of decisions when I am upset. 15.00????!!!!

My next stop is the BBB because this is outrageous.

Kroger Grocery

The Kroger on Camp Bowie west has a terrible odor thru out the store plus they advertise on the radio about having fresh produce but everytime we go there it’s not fresh or they don’t have much of anything.

Kroger’s return policy is ridiculous

Kroger’s return policy is ridiculous. I brought back an item with the tag still on and the exact card I paid with, and they still refused to take it back without a paper receipt. Every other major store can look up purchases by card, but Kroger hides behind this outdated, customer-unfriendly policy. It’s a complete waste of time and makes me not want to shop here again.

Kroger’s Struggles and Customer Relations Issues

Kroger, one of America’s largest grocery chains, has been facing severe challenges following a failed merger. The company has already been forced to close some of its stores, and even more changes are expected amid continued economic uncertainty. Pressure from competitors only adds to the strain, but many of Kroger’s difficulties stem from its own management decisions and poor customer-service practices.

Chronic Out-of-Stock Problems

One of the biggest frustrations for customers is Kroger’s inability to keep popular items in stock. Time and again, advertised sale items are unavailable—either because management fails to order sufficient quantities or because there is a belief that customers will settle for higher-priced substitutes. Unlike many competitors, Kroger often refuses to issue rainchecks on out-of-stock sale items. This leaves customers frustrated and discouraged from returning.

Even more frustrating is that raincheck policies vary from store to store. Some managers do not issue them at all, while others impose arbitrary limits (5 items at one location, 20 at another). When customers escalate complaints to Kroger’s corporate office, the issue is simply routed back to the same store management, and rarely addressed in good faith.

Restrictive Coupon Policies

Another unpopular policy is Kroger’s handling of its “buy 5, save more” promotions. Customers are only allowed to use the offer once per week, even though the sale runs for seven days. Most other retailers allow repeat use during the promotion period, but Kroger’s restrictive rule forces customers to either make multiple trips or miss out entirely. This practice gives the impression that Kroger is more interested in protecting margins than rewarding loyalty.

Customer Service Barriers

Adding to the frustration is Kroger’s limited customer service hours. While stores are typically open until 11 PM, the service desk often closes around 8 PM. This prevents shoppers from returning items, obtaining rainchecks, or resolving pricing errors during evening hours—a significant inconvenience.

Shoppers also report that too many locations operate with only one staffed register at a time, pushing customers toward self-checkout whether they want it or not.

Price Competitiveness Concerns

Kroger heavily advertises “lower prices,” but in practice, many competitors beat them. For example, 12-packs of name-brand soda at Kroger often run $10.95 each, with promotions like “buy 2, get 2 free” (bringing the price down to $5.47 each) or “buy 2, get 3 free” ($4.38 each). By comparison, other retailers regularly sell the same brands for $8.55 per pack, or three for $12.00, and also provide store coupons ($5 off $25) plus frequent manufacturer coupons ($2-3 off three 12-packs). The net cost can drop as low as $2.66 per pack—far below Kroger’s sale pricing.

Kroger rarely offers manufacturer coupons that can be stacked with store promotions, raising questions about whether management is keeping supplier discounts instead of passing them on to customers.

Bottom Line

If Kroger wants to stop its decline, it must address these deep-rooted management issues. The retailer’s top-down approach, dismissive attitude toward customer complaints, restrictive coupon policies, and inconsistent service are driving shoppers elsewhere. Without meaningful reform, Kroger risks losing even more ground to competitors who treat their customers with fairness and respect.

Kroger store, Huntington, Indiana .... Kroger company/employees removing my Google reviews!

.....This Kroger grocery store in Huntington ,Indiana is a good store that could use some improvement, mostly in not misleading customers in pricing, and should end the "digital coupons" , just having a product on sale would be better for customers!
That being said, they are improving, and it seems as though this store has hired a "new" manager, and as far as I know seems to be very good.
..I appreciate the discount fuel that helps in savings.
...The Kroger brand products are always good quality, food is fresh and the store is clean, just an older store.
...Most of the employees that work at this store are of very good quality , with the exception of maybe two nasty, useless "employees" the 1st one is a nasty old lady that I have seen work for Krogers for about 11 years, mostly at the deli, she refuses to do anything for customers, just a paid useless employee. The 2nd disgraceful employee is (Danielle), that works at the front desk/ front of store and does nothing at all and has no intelligence whatsoever, just creating a hostile environment towards customers, and gets paid for this.
...That being said, I also noticed that the Kroger company in their marketing/advertising, has some contempt for "European Americans", and other than this ,Kroger is a pretty good store.
...Again , I like the store , but I do not appreciate Kroger co. , or employees removing my "Google" reviews!

Kroger Fail Boost Let Down

I’m a Kroger Boost member, and my upcoming order was a complete DISASTER. EVERY SINGLE FROZEN ITEM—16 IN TOTAL—WAS MARKED UNAVAILABLE, and not one substitution was offered. These were all common brands like Lean Cuisine, Stouffer’s, Red Baron, and Haagen-Dazs.
Even more confusing, I was notified the NIGHT BEFORE DELIVERY—which has never happened in any of my past orders. I usually receive updates between 6–8 AM the day of delivery. This change in timing, paired with the total failure to fulfill or substitute ANY frozen items, suggests a serious breakdown in the system.
I called customer service, and the representative had to contact the warehouse. The only thing I was told is that there was “no explanation” for what happened, and that if I had picked substitutions, they would’ve tried to fulfill them. But I DID CHOOSE SUBSTITUTIONS, and the app still showed 0 FULFILLED. That’s not acceptable.
I canceled the order because I no longer trust the fulfillment process. I’m frustrated and disappointed. This doesn’t feel like a normal out-of-stock situation—it feels like a system failure.
Boost members deserve better.

Trash company who'll take your money and refuse to deliver

Bought a gift card. Didn't receive it for 4 hours. Called customer service and they said there's an issue and wait 24 additional hours. 27 hours later I call again because clearly I still didn't get it and they said they escalated the issue and would need another 24 hours. I said I wanted my money back and they said they would send me a refund request confirmation email. Hour and a half later I still haven't gotten it yet. This company will jerk you around and throw arbitrary waiting times in the hopes that you forget that they took money out of your account and didn't deliver a product. Trash company.

3 strikes (or more) you're out

I've used ordering online with curbside pickup for several years...too many inconsistencies... while Kroger has good quality and great prices...I feel better being in control of the experience....less disappointments...and would be my fault if any issues.... personally, I would not recommend pickup or delivery... however, I would highly recommend in-store shopping.
