Next day delivery took a week

Ordering online was easy enough, I ordered specifically because the ladders were offered on a next day delivery if ordered before 11 am which it was. I was then emailed telling me there would be a slight delay. This turned out to be over a week. This meant I was unable to do the jobs I was going to do for a relative.

Do not buy ladders on line. Buy locally.

I bought a five rail step ladder, only to discover that steps 3,4 and 5 could not be used.
If this had been made clear at the time of purchase, I would have ordered taller steps.
The ladders arrived wrapped in a thin plastic bag, and as a result, the legs of the ladders were scratched.
When investigating the returns procedure, I was told that the ladders must be packaged properly, to prevent damage. Any damage meant that no refund would be forthcoming.
Consequently, the cost of returning the steps and the condition of the steps once in my possession, ruled out any chance I had of getting satisfaction from the company.
