Some time ago I purchased 4 NOS RTC QE 05/40 tubes. Although dating from 1983, they looked as if they came out of the factory yesterday still in sealed inner plastic wrapping. A few weeks ago I purchased 4 x 12AT7 valves, one gave up after six weeks ( worked fine initially), and was immediately replaced. Recommended

I recently purchased a pair Jan Philips 5654W tubes.
Tested, matched, NOS according to the website. Needless to say what came looked more like sweepings from a reclaim factory floor. Neither tube markings matched and one was so badly damaged it fell to pieces in my hand before I could attempt to use it. Packaging was excellent so I am sure this did not happen in transit.
I know these are not an expensive tube but this was a complete waste of time and money. Quality control is very poor.

Excellent customer service ! Ordered a pair of valves which were sadly faulty , carried out basic tests and asked relevant questions upon my report of faulty product, replacement items received in under 24 hrs and worked perfectly. Great products at a great price and recieved very quickly. Order was processed within a couple of of hours of being placed.
Only very minor niggle was it stated tracked post, but it isn't tracked post that can be tracked by the buyer.

The GM tube that I ordered was well packed and shipped quickly.

There are many suppliers of NOS valves or tubes on the internet, however, Langrex are a company who supply quality matched NOS products, dispatched within 24 hours in a cardboard transit box that is carefully filled with polystyrene packing. I noticed that even the valves in their respective boxes were cushioned with bubble wrap to prevent any back and forth movement and possible damage in transit. Royal Mail managed to crumple the corner of the outer transit box but the quality and trouble taken to pack the valves by Langrex prior to dispatch ensured the valves emerged unbroken. The received valves, a pair of matched original Svetlana Winged C 6550C, had been tested (written values for each valve were included on a label on their respective box); bias adjustment of the valves after an hour's warm-up showed that the valves were well-matched and they had stayed at the correct bias setting after an initial 4-hour test. For an audio customer in search of quality NOS valves in which the purchaser can have complete confidence, I can Highly Recommend Langrex. These valves were my second purchase from this company, and the Winged C's sounded so good in my Triode TRX-88 power amp that I have just ordered a second set as a back-up for the future. This is a unsolicited customer testimonial.
