I've been working with my adviser at Lawsons for around 2 years. They reduced my investment costs, by switching from some expensive ones i had before, to a low cost investment platform. Quick to communicate and I've had no issues taking money out. I'm happy with the service.

I've seen a few reviews about loan notes, these were never recommended to me. Lawsons have lots of different advisers, it might depend on who you work with.

Followed an investment advisor from Skybound to Lawsons when he moved there.....big mistake!!!!
Mis-sold on GC8 thanks to them....
Luckily I kept my others with Skybound....much more professional.
How much is the bet that they don't reach out here?

I would strongly advise anyone considering using Lawsons Wealth or any advisers associated with them to proceed with extreme caution.

I was introduced to a financial adviser operating through Lawsons Wealth, Joel Colman, who recommended a number of investments including loan notes and pension-linked investment structures. These investments were presented as suitable and secure opportunities.

Unfortunately, these investments have since collapsed, resulting in the loss of a very substantial amount of money. I am not alone in this situation – many other investors appear to have been affected by the same types of recommendations.

For example, Godwin Capital loan notes entered administration in 2025, leaving thousands of investors facing potentially significant losses after more than £160 million had been invested through the scheme.

Since these events unfolded:
My attempts to resolve the matter directly with Lawsons Wealth have received no meaningful response.
The adviser who recommended these investments has disappeared and is no longer contactable.
Investors have been left trying to understand how such products were recommended and what due diligence was carried out.

These types of loan-note investments were marketed as property-backed with attractive returns, but many investors have since learned that the security and risk profile may not have been as described.

In my opinion, this experience raises very serious questions about:

1. The suitability of the advice provided
2. The level of due diligence carried out before recommending these products
3. The responsibility taken once the investments collapsed

This has had a devastating financial impact on my family and others who trusted the advice given.

If you are considering working with this firm or any adviser associated with them, please carry out extremely thorough independent checks before investing and fully understand the risks involved.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Mis-sold investments. Commission chasers. Avoid at all costs. Little to no feedback to resolution requests.

Like many others, mis-sold ponzi and fraudalent investments in good faith, they are just commission chasers. They have multiple legal cases against them. DO NOT GO anywhere near these and do proper due diligence. Make sure all investments are regulated and FCS protected. AVOID

Invested substantial amount of money through Lawsons advisor in Loan Notes.
Was assured a good investment however it was a fraud and lost everything….
The police are investigating

They tell you stories that are not true. Do not believe their pitches. High probability you loose your investment. And then they run away

Advised to invest into companies which are absolute frauds. Lost a lot of money.

Miss sold to investments. I was advised to sell my investments from my portfolio and invest in 79th Group which has gone into administration. And also New Icon Group which is now winding down the company. Lost huge amount of money. I will be looking at transferring my other investments to a different company.

Be careful of scam companies within Lawsons Network, many fraudulent financial products have been sold through them

Dont go near this company, they have sold 79TH Group loan notes to hundreds of investors who have lost their life savings, many are ruined in retirement for the rest of their lives.

Very disappointed with this company as a financial advisory company. I have lost all of my retirement savings as I was mis-sold a loan note with the 79th group which went into administration the day after I transferred the funds for this investment. My broker did not bother to call me to let me know when this made public news in the UK. If he alerted me right away, I would have been able to cancel the funds transfer as the funds had not landed yet. It seems that their due diligence was not properly carried out whilst vetting these companies.
I would not take their advice ever again.

Was sold Godwin loan notes and assured they were protected through assets etc. this was not the case! The failure of Godwin Captial No. 8 it is evident there was no such protection in place. Terrible investment and advise and insufficient due diligence from Lawson.I have lost a signicant ammount of money.

I have lost most of my hard earning savings as I was mis-sold two loan notes with 2 different companies (Godwin Capital 8 and the 79th group) and both gone into administration. Both companies recommended by Lawsons Wealth were operating Ponzi style schemes. It seems that their due diligence was not properly carried out whilst vetting these companies.
I would not take their advice ever again.

Little to no due diligence was carried out whilst vetting these companies. Security measures were simply not in place or even checked and the advisors appear to have be blinkered by high commissions.
I wouldnt take their advice ever again.
