London Camera Exchange - Strand レビュー 

Was a great experience, I was buying online but the item was at the Strand London shop. I had a few questions so ended up phoning them a few times, they answered all my queries even though I could tell they were very busy. Then the item arrived when they said the item was well packed which was a good thing as the DPD driver was not so good, my wife said he practically threw it in to the porch. But lucky all was ok 👍

Having spent a few days in London sightseeing, I'd decided to visit a camera shop if I was anywhere near during my travels.
Late on the Thursday afternoon, and its was by chance that I was walking along The Strand, and decided to call in to LCE, just to have a look, handle some cameras and have a think about purchasing over the next couple of weeks.
I was given a warm welcome by Luke 'D' who spent the next 45 minutes or so going through different options that I'd been researching and I had made it clear that I wasn't looking to purchase on the day.
Due to Luke's friendliness and attention to my needs, relating to aircraft and airshow photography, I felt comfortable enough to purchase a used Canon EOS R7 that I never intended to do so quickly.
I must say that Luke D is a credit to LCE and I promised to leave a review once I arrived back home in The Midlands, so here we are.
As a footnote, I worked in the photographic retail industry for many years, cutting my teeth at Dixons, in the South East and later employed by Cequip, managing one of their flagship stores from 1991 to 2000 and really appreciate high levels of customer service.
This instills trust and I have no doubt that I will be a returning customer of the Strand branch in the near future.
All of the above clearly confirms why LCE were awarded the 'Best Retailer' in the Photography News 2025 Awards.

Expert and professional service. We found we had a part missing for an old tripod but then bought the wrong model online. We dropped into the local LCE store and they helped us find the correct model and arranged for a refund there and then. We also got a phone call to say the refund was about to go through. I purchased a new OM1 from Derby and then purchased a lens from the Strand in London. They shipped it to Derby so I could collect all my gear at one place all at the same time.

When you’re looking to spend a significant amount on something it’s good to get some questions answered and guidance. It’s difficult to get that online. LCE came to my rescue, Lewis was really helpful and clearly knowledgeable and I am happy with my purchase.

I went to the shop in The Strand yesterday as I was unhappy with my current camera bought elsewhere. I was dealing with Andy and in less than 30 mins my camera was valued, a new model chosen, extensive advice given and the very best customer service.
Without doubt I will return for accessories and recommend this wonderful store to my friends. Very impressed. Thank you Andy.

When purchasing very high speed SDXC cards for my Panasonic HC-X1 4K ENG camcorder, I always visit this store to do so.

I highly recommend the team there for their prompt and friendly service every time.

I wanted a rare as hen’s teeth X100vi in silver, and these guys got one in just over a fortnight. That’s impressive … and their customer care / feedback / updating etc was excellent.

Item was exactly as described by LCE. Really happy with it and hope to continue making purchases from LCE.

I ordered an expensive camera from The Strand shop and paid extra for Saturday delivery as I wouldn't be in for the rest of the week. On the Saturday I waited in all day and it didn't arrive.

After numerous telephone calls I was refunded for the camera amount but not the extra I paid for Saturday delivery.

After emailing and not receiving a reply I have just called and been told that this is between me and DPD and nothing to do with them!!! What happened to customer service??

Definitely do not recommend. I ended up going with WEX and the order arrived promptly as arranged. Don't waste your time.
