From start to finish, Matt provided a clear and informative service which helped me to build a strong case for removal. Matt did not promise anything, but effortlessly worked to ensure everything was in place to be as prepared as possible. He didn't once complain about my multitude of questions, and responded to my queries very quickly. Be warned that the process may take a fairly long time, over two years in my case! However I do not regret a single moment, and Matt has helped me to move on with my life. I am forever grateful, and can assure anyone that Matt is an expert in what he does.

Matt Elkins is an incredible solicitor and really knows his stuff - to say he is an expert in the field of removing cautions is an understatement. It was painful for me to revisit the circumstances but Matt led me through the process and I felt looked after all the way through. In 2017, I was arrested and cautioned for possessing a class A substance. During that time, I was young, foolish, and going through a phase where I was curious and experimental. Drugs had never been a part of my life, and unfortunately, I was caught on the same day I decided to try them. Since my arrest, I have been struggling with severe anxiety due to the negative impact it has had on my chances of pursuing my dream career.

It was not until 2022 that I came across Legisia online and read reviews about their services. While the police initially rejected my request to have the caution removed, they did, however, remove a previous arrest record that was unrelated and in which I was completely innocent. Upon learning of the rejection, we promptly initiated the appeals process, and I recently received the fantastic news that my caution has been lifted.

To say that this turn of events is life-changing would be an understatement. I have been plagued by anxiety, fearing that this incident would hold me back in life. Now, I can finally move forward on a clear path with no baggage weighing me down. I am incredibly grateful to Matt for truly changing my life for the better. Thank you!

Matt is an expert in his field, and from the initial consultation to the follow-up emails he is meticulous in gathering the necessary details (circumstances of the arrest, personal background, character references, etc.) to put forward a compelling case. His estimation of the time it would take to receive a response from the police was totally accurate; just under two years for a response from the Met, confirming that my record had been deleted. Matt helped me to delete police records for an ABH caution I had received in my early 20’s. Under current rules, this crime would never cease to become ‘spent’. Over 17 years this has caused me extreme anxiety over this time and something I never really came to terms with; avoiding situations that would require me to declare it and holding me back in many areas of my life including my career, travel opportunities and potentially involvement in my children’s education in the future.
