My father has been a lender for 6 years and I have operated his account as a registered LPA throughout. Every year I need to download an income statement for his tax return. Lender accounts have been in wind down for more than a year. I can no longer access his account to do this because LW demand I upload ID and proof of address for him. The account is not new - it is 6 years old and he receives monthly messages about transfers out. He is mid eighties, has cancer, his driving licence and passport have expired and he lives 400 miles from me.

I have been a P2P lender myself on LW, Rate Setter, Funding Circle and Lend Invest for over 10 years and Lending Works have been by far the worst. Transferring money to other ISA lenders has taken months and required excessive telephone calls/letters to resolve, they removed insurance protection for lenders before Covid and subsequently helped themselves to repaid capital to keep the shield fund afloat (the interest received now is effectively lost capital, but tax is due on income), and when my mother passed away they were the last to hand over her money to the solicitor to settle her estate, the sum being considerably less than the amount in her account on the day she passed away.

I rue opening these accounts for us and will be glad when we eventually receive what remains of our investments and we can be rid of the accounts. I would sell the remaining loans but don't wish to lose more money in the form of fees.

Supemely easy, fair and clear process to take out finance. Honestly just such a simple process, I was pleasantly surprised!

Still find the interest a rip off… not a fan of how finance works and penalises the fact we are poor. I work a full time job and because I need to live I need to take out money. I think it’s disrespectful. But that’s the sh!tty capitalist world we live it. It makes me depressed. So I hope the money taken from me is the loss of my mental health to you guys…

Well to say I’m dissatisfied is a understatement I was pre approved on there sight and also a credit score site my credit is pretty high and I have never missed a payment in years. The loan I went for had a better rate than a loan I had to was applying for a consolidated loan with like I mention I was pre approved for to make the payments better for my self they asked for bank statements which I sent over then they declined me not only have they impacted my credit rating which was good how the hell are you suppose to trust applying for a loan that has a 100% approved on it to get declined unless they go up to %1000 which they don’t To get the pre approved they have to do a soft search anyways so should know your chances before doing a hard search which then they declined won’t ever applied for a loan from these again what’s the point gives you a pre approved in 3 months time they will do the same again. These loan should not even be aloud to do this to people.

Disgusting company do not deal with them they are a gang of thives after asking for early settlement they refused .. even tho it states you can settle early if you wish .
They were paid all payments on correct dates
And then the utter refusal to give what was requested so I paid them a total of £2900 to settle my loan
They then threatened to blacklist me by stating they would put me as a partial payer ..?? When I’ve paid the entirety of my loan off in-fact they then settled my loan for £2771 but they’d been paid £2900 which was a overpayment because of there threats to blacklist me I’d then paid too much

to which the overpayment for some reason doesn’t show up on your completed dashboard 🤷‍♂️ So they’ve actully stated they are keeping my extra overpayment gang of utter thieves who refuse to help and give you what you request I urge anybody not to deal with this company .
I’ve had to contact solicitors to deal with them they are horrific nasty people and they are just dragging the whole thing on trying to fill my head with lie after lie

Quick process and competitive rate via clearscore. I log in there all the time to check deals and these were competitive. Don’t see the point in their new rebranding though, I thought lending works, worked!

easy to apply , quick response, money transferred in just a few days. apr charged was a little high and the fee was added to loan but other than that - a good experience so far.
