Leann Brown was extremely helpful in updating our wills. She examined our existing wills and suggested areas that could be improved upon. She clarified exactly what we wanted to achieve and drafted new wills timeously. She answered all queries and we are very happy with the service she provided. We would have no hesitation in recommending Leann.

I am an expert witness. After 8 months and a great deal of chasing, the firm have not paid me for my work. They are now ignoring my emails, so I am considering taking them to court and to the regulators.

Power of Attorney & Will
I would highly recommend using Lindsays Solicitors for any of your legal requirements as their staff are very friendly, approachable, professional – and accommodating. Due to a recent family bereavement my 90 year old father found himself in the situation where he needed to update his current Power of Attorney and Will. Making the appointment to see a solicitor was very quick and easy and his solicitor (Samera Ali) couldn’t have been nicer. She explained carefully how everything worked, what needed to be done and what she would do to help. She answered all of my fathers questions with ease and had the whole process completed in a very reasonable timescale. She was helpful and professional and made the experience very smooth. I would highly recommend her and Lindsays.

I recently sold my flat and I cannot recommend Lindsays high enough. Erin Peoples, Fiona and Gillian were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. They regularly kept me update on progress. I would highly recommend Lyndsays Property. Thank you.

We were buying and selling a house with Lindsay, and I must state that choosing Lindsay was a big mistake.
Communication was very difficult, either through emails or through the secretary, and we had to wait for a response or constantly chase them.
During the process, I got the impression that the company only cared about quickly invoicing their services and not about being a professional guide and advisor in the process of selling/buying real estate.
Due to their approach and lack of attention to detail, we incurred high unexpected costs, and two days before the move, they kindly presented us with a bill for their "services" with a 100% increase, without consulting us at any point during the whole process (which lasted 5 months). This is absolutely inconsistent with basic business ethics and indicates the low and peculiar corporate culture of this company.
Working with Lindsay was a huge disappointment and cost us a lot of mental energy, money, and wasted time. It’s a pity I didn’t read the reviews on Lindsay before choosing a real estate company, as their low ratings accurately reflect the quality of their work.

She was the perfect ambassador for Lindsays, demonstrating unsurpassed professionalism throughout, no detail omitted, always only impressive timing, extremely supportive and courteous despite the numerous demands on her. We are extremely grateful and can unhesitatingly recommend her expertise most highly!

currently under investigation for service standards through the SLCC. Extremely poor communication and disgusting fees.
Do not touch with a barge pole from chair to associates. Jennifer Gallagher partner is great at taking notes but awful as an acting solicitor.

I would recommend Lindsay’s after they dealt with the selling of our house. Communication was excellent and everything was clearly explained to us. Our case was a little complicated but nothing was too much trouble and Emma’s patience is to be commended. Would definitely use again.

Dangerous to the extreme, have little respect for protocol or respect for the court ,

They are happy not to check facts a curry and whatever seals the deal

They are Expanding quickly as they mop up the dregs of humanity to fill their coffers .

They do not give a flying …..about KYC

Absolutely horrendous experience with this lot if I could give no stars I would, was quoted between £1000 and £1500 for a simple divorce got the impression the first lawyer (Alison mckee) couldn't be arsed I paid the £1500 that I was quoted and she switched it to her graduate (Claire brown) then at the end of it I was hit with another invoice for £2736 so they basically want me to pay for the same thing twice, they are con artists and like the other reviews on here seems to be a pattern they invent bills out of nowhere, the lawyer couldn't be bothered passed it to a intern and cracked up my bill while she overlooked my case from time to time, absolutely shocking company, I refuse to pay and I'm now having to goto court over this

Used Lindsays for an employment dispute. Ben Doherty was knowledgeable, professional and very helpful. Always quick to respond to any questions and very approachable. I can highly recommend Ben Doherty/Lindsay’s.

Along the lines of similar reviews.
Poor communication.
General feeling they’re not actually doing anything to earn the money.
Unable to easily contact the person who is dealing with our transactions.
Mother’s estate, the easiest to wrap up still waiting after many months.
Solictors letter to a company who had incorrect information on us, cost an arm and a leg.
I have used Shield and Kyd since 1993 before they merged into Lindsay’s and they were great.
Once our current transaction is completed, We will not be using Lindsays for anything.

Update. August 2024. Still waiting for completion of mothers estate. This has been nearly a year. Problems…. ineptitude, people forgetting to do things and process paperwork, maternity leave. Handovers not completed properly. Holidays. Lost track of who is now dealing with this transaction. An absolute nightmare.

Appalled by this agent's incompetence. Despite their promises, my flat remained unsold. I navigated through five different contacts, endured minimal effort resulting in just one viewing. Shockingly, they demanded payment. Avoid this agent.

If you like fees that come up out of nowhere even when you previously asked them to list all fees involved these are the guys for you.

£336 for literally nothing.

Absolutely shocking service. Stay away from them, there are plenty of decent solicitors around. Lindsay’s (especially Emma Conway) just refused to work for no reason because she made a mistake. Not even got an apology. AVOID

14 months of pain and lack of information. My late mothers estate couldn’t have been simpler wrap up. Not so for Lindsay’s of course, due to no communication, shocking estate agency understanding of markets. Department managers with limited or no knowledge of their teams workloads either. Oh and extremely expensive.

Absolutely shocking. Emma Conway cannot see the difference in currencies, doesn’t keep any communication with customer and when you try to reach her she is not approachable. Avoid her service. I left extremely distressed and homeless..

Used this company to sell my property as it gave a competitive quote. The first sale fell through and when I informed them I was moving to another company they threatened me with large legal fees although they had done nothing. I remained with them and when they eventually sold the property they charged me 65% over the original quote. When I asked them to stand by their quote they said they couldn't understand why I was upset.

Very poor conveyancing service. Took 4 months to do a cash buy, provided very limited advice or guidance through the process. I had to constantly chase them to progress the transaction and push them for a completion date. Worst of all, whilst they said from the outset that they were not the cheapest, twice they raised their prices and there was nothing I could do due to their control. Not recommend this firm. Read two other reviews and they faced the same promblem on raised prices. Refused to do as I asked about keeping my details digitally, to save time, effort and future cost.

Have to agree with the last review. They just want money and couldn't care less. Absolutely useless did nothing and I was passed to a different solicitor every time I had an email. Four different people in four months for £1400.
Then they held my property deeds to ransom and said they would send them when they received payment. I paid the first bill on the same day I received it so there was no need for this.
