If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would!!
Iâd rather set myself on fire rather than give a single cent to Lucas Nursery.
We were gifted a pine tree for our wedding, and it was purchased and planted by Lucas Nursery on 10/15/25,⊠after several delays in which we had previously received various different dates for tree planting. Those dates came and went without communication, however, ultimately, the tree was planted on 10/15.
This is what the tree looks like as of, 5/09/26. It is suffering from severe transplant shock, root establishment failure, and winter desiccation.
I emailed Lucas about the problem, with photos and receive no follow up. Upon calling Lucas, I was told if it is purchased âin the storeâ (over the phone purchases count as this), there is NO GUARANTEE on their trees (including those that they plant themselves), and IF you have a receipt (certainly they have record of their delivery and schedule of planting, yes?!?), they will âwork with youâ, but you will have to pay them money.
Uh, so that another tree can fail!? Mighty generous of them indeed.
Instead of having a permanent, beautiful symbol of our wedding, we have a dead/dying tree, and a horrible taste in our mouths.
I would never shop there again or recommend them to others. If you value your dollar, and customer service, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
