year 3 in our new home and couldn't be more disappointed with the lack of service from Lutron. We still do not have a proper lighting system despite paying thousands of dollars. one excuse after another. find any other brand but stay clear of Lutron.

We have a Lutron Standalone lighting system installed in our Chairman's 6 bedroom villa, with more than 20 keypads/switches of the same type.

Every few years, we have an issue with the Lutron system Whenever we communicate with Lutron they inform us that they do not have spares for this model since its an old one (within the first 5 years itself) They tell us that we need to replace the entire system with the newer version. On refusing to do so, they somehow find the sparepart. This has repeated on 5 occasions till date.

Once we found an Ex employee of Lutron and we asked him if he could look at the current fault and he was able to repair the system within 10 minutes saying he needed to replace a small component.

Approximately 4 months ago, one of the keypads in a room stopped functioning completely. Since then, we have made numerous attempts to resolve the issue through Lutron USA and their 4 distributors in UAE (names give by Lutron USA), but without success.

On every occasion the distributors told us they need to check the availability of a technician and get back to us, but no one ever did. During our most recent conversation, we were informed that they could not send a technician and were instead referred to external BMS company, which has also failed to respond despite repeated follow-ups.

We are extremely disappointed with the level of after-sales support we have received. A premium lighting control system should be backed by reliable service and the availability of spare parts for a reasonable period. Instead, we have been left with a non-functional lighting control point and no means of repairing it.

We have been told by Lutron employees and several other users that it is one of the worst systems for after sales service.

We hope Lutron notices our review on google and takes serious action to help us out. Our normal calls to the USA have been a waste of time.

I originally started using Lutron because I needed a lighting system for my business that I could control remotely from an app. After trying it out, I quickly became a huge fan of the system and the flexibility it offers.

One of my favorite features is the ability to add wireless controllers in locations where a traditional light switch would be difficult or expensive to install. Being able to place controls without cutting drywall, running new wires, or making major modifications has been a game changer.

The app works great and allows me to control the lights from anywhere, which gives me peace of mind when I'm away from the business. The system has been reliable and easy to use from day one.

I've been so impressed with the setup at the business that I'm slowly replacing the switches throughout my home as well. It's one of those products that once you start using it, you wonder how you ever lived without it.

I paid almost 8 hundred dollars for a Lutron Serena roller shade for my kitchen. My shade just fell out of the warranty period and the electric motor that drives the shade up and down is burned out and not working. I CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR PARTS TO REPAIR MY 8 HUNDRED DOLLAR SHADE AND WAS TOLD NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SALE TO ME. Then i was told they will sell me the same shade for 8 hundred more dollars. THIS IS A RIPOFF AND DISHONEST COMPANY. Other shade company's sell replacement motors for their shades even on amazon but this company screws you out of your investment. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

We bought a home with an elaborate Lutron smart home lighting system. Shortly after we moved in the system failed and we were in complete darkness. There is no simple back up we spent the next two years with the installer trying to fix the system. They could not repair the system entirely we paid thousands of dollars only to be told they don’t support that system anymore. We wanted to rip out the whole system but the way they wire it originally means you can’t go back to traditional light switches. This system is anything but smart and Lutron is absolutely terrible with their support and simply expect you to replace the system every 10 years or so which I’m sure they don’t tell you when you buy it!! Total rip off solving a problem that never existed with traditional switches I would never recommend Lutron!!!!

I purchase 2 Lutron dimmers from Home Depot. Within a few weeks, the lights in the fixtures began to pulse. I spoke with customer service to determine if the LED bulbs were on the recommended list. They were, so the rep suggested that there might be a neutral wire issue so she sent me a "Maestro" replacement with a neutral wire hook up. This solved the problem so I called back and they are sending me the 2nd replacement. They answered the phone quickly, were very courteous and solved the problem!

Purchased a house with an old Lutron and they cannot tell me the password so stuck either prior owners scenes. It seems the only option is to upgrade for thousands. They force an upgrade to sell product. Must have weak engineering or just greed.

I recently purchased a pico remote based on Lutron’s false advertising on Amazon. The advertisement clearly states that the remote is, “For Wireless Light Bulbs and Lamps, Works w/ Alexa, Apple Homekit, Google Home (Hub Required)…” Any rational individual reads this as compatible with Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and with a hub can work with Google home. Look at the commas.

Apparently a hub is required to work with any and all wireless systems. It took 40 minutes waiting on hold for their 24/7 customer service to confirm their false advertising.

Companies like Lutron should be sued into oblivion. I am sick and tired of liars and thieves like Lutron who intentionally steal time and money from those suckers dumb enough to believe what they say about their products. Avoid these shysters at all costs. Hopefully the company dies quickly before they dupe anyone else.

The Lutron UK office gave absolutely amazing technical support for a tricky problem that popped up with our small Church lighting control system at the worst possible time just before the Christmas Carol Services. It was installed 9 months earlier, but then suddenly wouldn’t easily control one of the two zones. They firstly diagnosed thoroughly over the phone, and then at very short notice the technical manager organised for an engineer to visit at the end of his day. Problem fixed, personnel all very helpful. Strong recommendation.

This brand helped me save on our energy bill, plus it helped integrate the music and lights in one easy to use system. I am so glad that a family member recommended them. It might seem costly at first to purchase and install it, but it was worth every penny.
