Booked by phone last night. Received immediate confirmation by tex, and this morning reassurance that my driver was en route. Driver arrived perfectly on time, courteous, efficient. All very good.

We pre-booked a Lynx taxi to take us to a restaurant in Alderley Edge from Handforth at 7.00 pm last night on the Lynx App.
Their App told me that the driver was on his way and then that he had arrived. We went outside immediately and there was no taxi there. The App then told me we had been picked up - which obviously we hadn't !! The App tracked the taxi all the way to Manchester Airport, so it appears that the driver decided he wasn't going to pick us up and instead chose an airport run.
I then rang Lynx and the only thing that the operator said was that he couldn't help because there were no free taxis for around an hour - this was the reason why I pre-booked.
I am a regular Lynx user and this has never happened before. However, this sort of behaviour will make me stop using Lynx taxis in the future.

Pre booked 2 seven seater taxis for my relatives after we scattered my brothers ashes in the Dublin mountains. Ten minutes before they were due to collect us I was told no taxis were available for us .this was a Friday evening,no other taxis company could we book at that short notice for so many .basically just left us there,4 of our party were young children. Very unprofessional very unhelpful,unreliable.how could you trust any booking with them?avoid this taxi company and look elsewhere.

Been using Lynx for 5 years. Moved to Prestbury 18 months ago and since then on average 50% of their jobs have been late, with a number of them having to be cancelled due to the degree of lateness. I catch a 6.53 train every week and despite my bookings getting earlier and earlier to accommodate Lynx’ tardiness, I still am faced with having to cancel bookings and find alternative transportation.

Terrible service. Booked a 5.15pm taxi at lunchtime. No show but a text saying they were looking for drivers. Rang after 20 minutes and was told they had no drivers available and it would be at least 20 minutes more. When i said this wasn't good enough and how unprofessional it was, i was told that it wasn't her fault as she'd not taken the original booking! Thank goodness we weren't catching a train or plane!
This is the second time this has happened with Lynx so avoiding at all costs now!
Don’t care about their customers
Ordered a 7 seater taxi for 4:30 24hours in advance . Rang at 4:40 to make sure it was on the way but was told they don’t have a big taxi so would need to send 2 cars. I had a confirmation email & text message so don’t understand why they didn’t tell me. Was told the 2 taxis would be 5 mins. Rang back 30 mins later to be told he’s around the corner, tracked it on the text message to see he was about 15 mins away.
Shocking service will never use them again . Quite obvious from the reviews they are useless .
Pre-booked a taxi for 11.50pm
Pre-booked a taxi for 11.50pm. Called and they said busy. Called 20 minutes later to be told taxi had been and I had missed it.No text or call. I am over 60 years old, a lone female and had to walk home on my own. I pre- book a taxi to be safe but this company obviously don't care about this. Whoever the driver was is to blame for this as they did not let me know they had arrived and I doubt they ever did

Had heard things but used lynx on holiday and had a good experience .. the first time!
This morning, myself and my partner had booked to be taken from our address to Manchester Airport. The driver, once we had started driving, asked where we were from/travelling to. When we told him New Zealand, he asked whether we had cash on us to pay the fare.
We told the driver that we had paid on the app already and he insisted that the app would refund the amount to our card and we would have to pay cash as he didn’t have wifi to accept the fare from the card. When we told him that it had always just taken the fare from our card on the lynx app he insisted it would be refunded 100% and wouldn’t give him the money for the work.
After some back and forth, the driver pulled over at a cash machine and asked us to withdraw the cost of the fare. My partner got out to look at the cash machine and as we felt so uncomfortable, I stayed in the car as I felt he might drive away with the luggage.
My partner told the driver that we could not withdraw as we are international and there are excessive fees and he insisted we could just bank transfer him to his personal account.
As we felt uncomfortable, my parter said he would call lynx taxis to check this info and the driver quickly said he would speak with lynx taxi and explain. However, my partner spoke on the phone to which lynx informed him not to give any cash as the card had been charged. Once we had this info, the drivers reasoning for needing cash changed and he said it was because he did not have a card reader machine to charge us despite already being told multiple times, and by lynx taxis, that the card had been charged the fare.
Once at the airport, the driver tried to take us to the wrong terminal and then proceeded to drop us on the side of the road near the airport in the snow to walk up. As we were so unnerved by the experience, we got out.
Felt unsafe and intimidated! Thank God I was with my partner and not a single female! Absolutely shocking.
UPDATE I have contacted them and they have advised me that they do not offer refunds!!! Disgusted.

Didn't arrive when I booked. I kept ringing and each time they lied to me about when they'd be coming. Last time I rang and asked for an update they hung up on me. I missed my train.
Not trustworthy
I booked this company 2 days in advance of a Christmas party to pick me & a friend up from a city centre location and drop us to two separate destinations along the same route. I spoke to someone in person while booking to clarify a definite pick up point and time and was assured I would receive confirmation immediately of the booking, which I did and would be notified when the driver was en route. 20 mins before our pick up time I was advised by text that my driver was on the way so we made our way to the street but an hour later he had not arrived and my calls and texts were unanswered. For 2 females that rarely take the risk of going out in the city centre it was very traumatic to have made the effort to prebook a taxi to ensure we got home safely from a night out, only to find we were stranded with no means of transport home and had to walk for miles to flag a taxi on the street. To date all calls and texts were unanswered. Beware, do not trust this company, particularly if you're a female!! Shame on you

Awful, same experience as woman below. Pre booked a taxi last night using the app for this morning. Currently 27 minutes late. When I rang the same rude woman answered and said “it’s because you’re out the area”.
Amazed as I’ve paid in advance and had confirmation.

The previous night, I booked a taxi for 08:30 to get me to work, and stood outside the front door of the hotel from 08:20 in sub-zero temperatures. At 08:37 I received an automated text saying they were waiting to assign me a driver. At 08:45 I phoned to ask what was happening, to be told that the taxi had been cancelled. When I asked why, I was told they had phoned me twice (they hadn't) and that the taxi had been at the front door waiting but that I wasn't there so they had cancelled. In the 25 minutes that I had waited outside the front door, no taxi arrived. Believe me, I'd have noticed. It's a very narrow road with not much traffic. I managed to get hold of another taxi company a little after 09:00 to be told that Lynx are notorious for accepting bookings then not turning up if the journey is not to their liking. AVOID.

One day before I needed my taxi I booked for a specific time and paid ahead of time using the app.
The next day when my taxi was due they decided to dispatch one a few moments before, however this caused significant delays to picking me up.
I'd like to add that I was going to the airport and the reason I book taxis in advance is to have peace of mind on the day of my trip.
Instead, I had to go through completely unnecessary stress caused by Lynx.
I phoned them 3 times. On the 1st call I was assured the taxi was around the corner and would be with me within minutes. It wasn't.
On the 2nd call, the lady assumed I was at a different address, and left me on hold for 5 minutes to chase her operator, before putting the phone down on me.
I tried to call a 3rd time to resolve and was met by an incredibly rude woman who didn't seem to understand the importance of pre booking a taxi to an airport.
By the time the driver arrived, there was no apology for the late arrival.
Their network and communication isn't up to the standard you would expect from other reputable taxi companies and for that reason I will be avoiding in future.
Poor service accompanied a bad attitude
Booked a taxi the day before a special event in town for my wife and I that we were invited to as I planned on leaving the car at home. I was told just before the taxi was due to arrive that it was running late - I had no working tracking link so when I called, I was told that no driver had been allocated. When I calmly registered my disappointment with the guy on the phone, the response I received was 'Well, we are very busy on Saturdays' - What a unprofessional attitude to take! Seconds after the call, I received a tracking link confirming that the driver was in the city centre so would have taken too long to get to our home and would have left us arriving very late. Therefore I cancelled and decided to drive in instead - I plan to never use this unprofessional service ever again - Based on numerous other negative reviews I've just seen, I'd advise anybody to give these guys a miss - Poor service!

Left us waiting half an hour in the cold and rain. Parked up 10 minute walk away, we tried to ring the driver to say where we were and they just cancelled on us. Rang to complain and got lied to and they denied this and said they came to the pick up point. I have screenshot evidence they were ten minutes away from the pickup.

This company's driver left a 75year old lady with an 8 year old sick child at the hospital because when she explained she had no cash and would have go into the house to get the money, she was told, Not their policy! Not deserving even one star! Lone woman arriving on flight after midnight left waiting over 30 mins for pre-booked taxi. What is the point of a message telling you that they are looking for a driver when taxi prebooked couple of days ago and no waiting time given? Also no response to phone call or message. Poor show! Have no confidence in this company and won't be using this company again!
Horrific taxi experience
I had prebooked this taxi 24 hours in advance and still 15minutes AFTER the due arrival time the driver calls me and asks 'Did you book a taxi?' No apology for the delay. I got in the car and he immeditaltey sped up the road, not even giving me the chance to put on my seatbelt.
The driver was illegally speeding then at 65k/hr, in Dublin city, this area is far too busy for those speeds and I truly felt fear for my safety. Never again.
