If you are considering using MacinCloud, please save your time and money. My experience with their "Pay-As-You-Go" plan has been incredibly frustrating and feels designed to trap users into paying for services they aren't using.

Please be aware of the following before you sign up:
Predatory Billing Policy: They round up your usage to the next whole hour, even if you only use the server for a few minutes. If you use it for 5 minutes, they charge you for an entire hour. This is a massive hidden cost that quickly depletes your prepaid credits.
No Usage Transparency: There is no real-time dashboard or meter to show you your actual usage time or remaining hours. It is impossible to monitor your own consumption, which seems intentionally set up so they can charge you unexpectedly.
Poor Performance: Do not expect a smooth experience. The lag and latency make it difficult to perform actual development work. Despite their marketing, it does not compare to using a local machine.
Support Issues: Getting helpful, timely support is a struggle. You will likely be met with slow response times, boilerplate answers, and useless suggestions that shift the responsibility onto you to figure out their proprietary systems.
Ultimately, this service is not transparent, not cost-effective, and not reliable. If you need a Mac for development, you are much better off looking for a different provider or purchasing a refurbished machine. Stay away.

Horrendous company!!!! Stay far far away if you need a fast and working mac in cloud service!!!! I paid for a pay as you go 25h and they sent me wrong credentials
 they say that they provide 24/7 customer service and it has been almost 9 hours that i am acting for a reply to the problem!!!! Of course anyone can have AI reply formatted emails
 but when a dev needs a quick and fast access to work because time is money
 save yourself some trouble and go to other suppliers !!!!

Works for me, but Managed Server plan that "starts at US$25/month" is actually allows to use only 7 days in a month. After that period, you'll be charged additionally.

Vibe coded iOS app

I’m very new to Mac and wanted to do some vibe coding for an IOS app. Since I did not have a machine, I turned to Macincloud. With a little help from Gemini, I was able to develop and deploy my IOS app with no problems. I did have to use drop box to synchronize my files from Antigravity since I was running that on my pc. That was a little extra work but totally expected. Overall, good experience!

Poor experience, The company is from las vegas and works like a casino trying to loot customers for no reason.

Got a overcharge of 2750 INR for no reason, their invoice reason says something in gibberish that doesnt even make sense. PREDATORY Practices for charging customers. Bought the Managed plan on 6th June and this overcharge came on 17th with an ecosystem so choppy and laggy that you can hardly work on their systems, I requested for Mumbai server considering latency but I got Singapore when I specifically opted for Mumbai one in the plan

Their VMs don't have any server timing for users' to see and keep a check. When I wrote back to their support mail they havent responded to the mail on my log in logout session proofs because i have hardly exceeded 6hour session, First their systems auto log out wherever you try to log in, this is so chronic that it impedes workflow.

EDIT: Andrew from the Customer Service team reached out, offered a Full Refund, and was patient enough to empathise with my issues. Maybe once they implement those fixes and fix the latency issues, I would try again.

MacInCloud is top notch

I used MacinCloud to stand up the VitalPort app in the Apple store, and couldn't be more pleased with my results. For the service provided, and the ROI on initial cost (~ $30), I was able to successfully deploy 78 builds of the app through the various stages of development. MacinCloud's interface was easy to use, the customer support was very responsive, and the end result exceeded expectation. For future Mac development needs, until Mac Mini's become more readily available, I will use MacinCloud going forward.

Next time I'll Just Buy A Mac......

I would like to update my review on the MacinCloud experience I had. I was initially unsatisfied, but customer service stepped up to the plate and resolved all my issues. I appreciate all their efforts and patience while handling a difficult situation. They are true professionals!!

Good service, but it feels shady

The service they offer is good value, and worked fine for my needs (iOS app development). But their business model seems to rely on making people pay for things they didn't intend to. Three reasons I believe that: 1. so many reviews on trustpilot and other sites. 2. there is no way to see your current usage (in my case, my plan is for a maximum of 7 days in a month, but I cannot see how many days I have used so far. Their support confirmed there's no way to see, and told me I need to keep my own records. (For real!) 3. I cannot remove my payment method, even after cancelling the subscription. It all feels shady - a big shame as the service they offer seems otherwise legit.

Machine wasn't working

Machine wasn't working. Support was quick to respond but couldn't get the machine working. Gave me the run around when I asked for a refund. Not worth it, waste of time.

No matter that I paid for SSH, machine was not configured to provide it.

Dealing with AI support agent, without fixing the issue, no matter that I wrote them possible cause.

Wouldn't suggest it to any kind of professional use.

Worst subscription of my Life so Far !

Worst subscription of my Life so Far, none of their tools/configurations worked... Wasted DAYS of my time, the furthest I got was a blank Mac start-up screen via the web tool, EVERYTHING ELSE Failed really hard !

I got so frustrated to the point that I had to go out & buy an actual new Mac, my advice is to simply never spend a dime on this shit, NOT WORTH IT !!!

They charged me for overuse!

I bought a monthly plan with 3h max per day as PayAsYouGo .

They charged me 20 USD for overuse hours (pay-as-you-go), but I'm 100% sure I logged out. Why is there no warning if you go into overuse? Why isn't there a meter that shows your actual usage time? I think it's no coincidence that these features are missing. It feels like they do this just so they can charge randomly.

The Cloud runs fine so far. That's why I gave 2 of 5.

Stay Away!

I paid $15 for MacRent.cloud with the expectation of receiving access to a Mac mini for development.

After payment:

No email with access details was sent immediately
Support was slow and unresponsive at first
They later claimed a “weak connection” and asked me to wait up to 1 hour

I do not feel confident about their reliability or service. Because of the delays and poor communication, I requested a full refund.

the connection has already dropped twice

I signed up for the 24-hour plan and the connection has already dropped twice. The first time I must have been without access for about 3 hours, and now I've been without it for 2 hours. That is, 5 hours or more without access in a short and expensive period that I paid for to upload 2 apps. I don't recommend this service to anyone.

Update:
I had this problem on the first and second day, and then it stabilized. I also experienced some periods of slowness, but that might have been my internet connection. Overall, it met my needs, despite these hiccups. Support sometimes takes a little while to respond, but they addressed all my requests.
