The helicopter tour was excellent overall, and everything was very professional. However, the flight itself felt a little too cautious and uneventful for my taste. There were no real moments of acceleration or dynamic maneuvers. I had a helicopter tour a few years ago with a different pilot, and that experience included a few more dynamic maneuvers, which made the flight much more exciting and memorable. Of course, safety comes first, but I personally would have enjoyed a slightly more adventurous and dynamic flight.

We’d like to clarify that the approximately 30-minute total trip time shown on our website includes approximately 12 minutes of flight time roundtrip and approximately 20 minutes on the ground. The flight itself is not advertised as a 25-minute flight through the Canyon, and the 20 minutes at the bottom is included as part of the overall experience rather than additional flight time.
We understand, however, that there may have been a misunderstanding about the itinerary and what to expect from the flight portion of the tour. We’re sorry if the experience felt shorter than you anticipated. We appreciate your feedback and will review how the trip details are communicated to help ensure our guests have a clear understanding of the experience before booking.
From check-in to the helicopter ride, everyone was professional and informative. They made this experience amazing and unforgettable.

This tour takes you to the bottom of the Canyon and is a ‘must experience’ if you want to be at the base of this place at riverbed. Moreover there is no other way but by helicopter to reach the base. Simple breathtaking!

We booked the Grand Canyon West Discovery Tour with Maverick Helicopters for our visit. Our Pilot, Johnathon, was detailed, informative and even offered to take our photos! His knowledge on the area and his experience flying made us feel safe and relaxed as we took in the grand view before us. We found the tour price very cost effective and would not have wanted to view the canyon without the helicopter tour!

Easy to use on the site and everything was there for the information. The only thing that I think is needed to let people know is that is they go off the south rim. The fee is $99 to go into the park and that included the skywalk zip line and Guana Point
