Medical equipment was delivered to my home and no respect was shown to my property. They caused damage and despite emailing them I have had no response at all. I cannot believe they can be so callous.... もっと見る

On delivery they said they knocked on the door, never heard them and no card, called them and they said we will rearrange, my husband was coming out of hospital on palliative care, yes they did end up delivering but alot of stress added to the the pain, but on collection disgusting, my husband passed away, I called them they advised with bereavement they collect asap, just received a message collecting Monday 5th February 2024, my husband passed away 26th January, so not only are we all suffering in pain for the loss of a dad who was only 56, but looking at the bed everyday in which he passed away in is very hurtful, I called on several occasions asking to collect, but all I got was we are waiting on empty van to collect. Disgusting.

Great when they delivered equipment - but omg, try to get them to collect when it was no longer required.
Booked collection two weeks in advance, I struggled to place the several pieces of equipment at the front of our house (under cover) to be helpful. They didn't turn up, phoned office only to be told that they would collect two days later and to leave the stuff where it was as there were no other slots available. Yes you guessed it - they didn't turn up again!! Phoned office again - given collection date for next week, asked if we could return it ourselves - think that is a no, we are disabled and don't have transport.
NHS and councils need to look at why they are losing equipment and money!!
Awful company
Awful company, 1st they arrange visit & then don't knock on the door, put a 'missed' card through the letterbox so you have to rearrange & then the same thing happens again; delivery on third attempt!. When collecting said item the office don't pass on information so nearly missed the collection! Shocking service from local council.
Truly awful service
Truly awful service, cancelled collection numerous times.
Time slot on the third occasion not kept to as the driver had been rescheduled.

I had the PIU-90625 perching stool delivered after ordering less than 48hrs ago. Delivered by DPD. Very good service and quality product.
Upgraded rating as office staff very helpful
Upgraded my rating as the staff at Medequip's Stafford office are friendly, very helpful & they managed to resolve my previous issue efficiently regarding a previous non-collection after I'd waited from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Both items of medical equipment used by my elderly Mum collected a week later. Thank you.
Incompetent
Incompetent, uncaring, frustratingly unreliable company who should be banned from working for councils providing equipment. They regularly fail to keep appointments, fail to notify you when they aren't coming. Promise to give time slots but don't, even go to the wrong address. They don't know what equipment they've got installed or on loan. Terrible customer service. Even their own engineers think they are an awful firm. Unfortunately if your council uses them you're stuck with them.
I have had great service
I have had great service, when the equipment was fitted at my fathers home who has dementia, we recently had a call to have the bath chair serviced, the gentleman that came Andrew was so kind & thoughtful we missed his early slot as i live 20miles from my dad, he said he would try & fit me in if he could, he called me and returned later that day. True gent, THANKYOU wish there were more ANDREWS in the world like him.

Wouldn't trust this company to deliver anything on time.
Father is 95yrs old and service was requested for this company,by professionals to provide a hospital bed,time was supposed to be 9.30am-1.30pm.At 2.00pm ,after spending all morning preparing for the delivery,they had still not arrived phone call after phone call, they arrived,at 2.20pm.2 man delivery yet only 1 put the equipment in.other one stood around being nosey.
The service they now provide has deteriorated since we had to use them in the last 10 yrs.
If your paying ,go else where.If this seecicr is providefd via NHS,I suggest you complain to the highest level,if you dont get the service you have been promised

After seeing all the bad reports, I was extremely concerned. However, since requesting a visit, we have been allocated Steve, who arrived an hour after his phone call. He provided two extremely useful items and has organised two safety products to be provided in the next 10 days. Thank you Steve Cantrell. You were professional and helpful on your visit. We couldn’t have asked for more.
Don't use this company out of choice
Don't use this company out of choice. Essex medequip took over the responsibility of my stair lift in June.For the past 6weeks my daughter has continually phone Essex Mediquip and head office. My urgent emails have been ignored or not acknowledge. The lift needs to be removed still on going. Moving in a few days. Very poor customer service.

Arranged an emergency collection for my father Cedric Barnett’s items as his house is sold. They told me they were coming to collect on Monday 30th October and that I would get a time slot on the Monday morning. I got said time slot for between 11.45am - 3.45pm. I received a text message saying the driver would be 5 minutes away at 3.30pm. Well that was a lie because he didn’t even come. I have now being harass by Medequip on Tuesday twice and today once. Why can’t you just do your job and collect when you’re meant too. I’m not calling you back. I’m not going to chase for another collection

Really pleased. Slight delay in delivery but the guy who sent everything up was GREAT. Explained clearly how everthing works and what to do if they don't work. My mother was very stressed out but more relaxed after it was all explained. Thank you
The reason the NHS are broke
Arranged next day delivery for my father so he can come out of hospital. They could only offer a time slot of “Friday” so I took the day off and didn’t get paid. They delivered the wrong item.
Rearranged delivery for Tuesday. Still can’t give me a specific time and I simply can’t afford to take another day off so asked for an hours notice so I can get there. They’ve not bothered to call and yet again no delivery. Surely when your job is logistics, basics like time slots which are efficient is a simple requirement. All they’re doing is robbing the NHS of taxpayers money and denying people of the dignity of coming home for a few days to die.
Company should be re-named CBA
Advised by text of 4 hour time slot (as collection from vacant property) then get text 3 minutes before arrival (2 hours BEFORE the 4 hr timeslot) when they know we live ten minutes away, and should be phoning us. When we arrive 10 minutes later, they've gone. Employ staff that care or your business will close.

Dreadful waste of NHS resources, this company should be ashamed of itself. Customer service is non existent.

Her tires are bald on her powered wheel chair "sorry, you'll have to wait 3 months" it's now Autumn, it'll be mid-winter before she gets tires with grip.
The stopping distance at full speed is over a meter, without factoring in her ataxia- "all wheelchairs are like that, we'll tighten up the brakes" (they are electrically controlled with solenoids)
She mentions that she had a child sat on her lap and he kicked the joystick- "you aren't allowed to have anyone on your lap on the wheelchair" she's a severely disabled, terminally ill mother to a 3 and 5yo. He told her she's not allowed to pick up her own children.
She has fusion of both ankles so the footrests that came with the chair are incredibly uncomfortable, the last chair had a single footrest with a strap to hold her feet in place made from toughened plastic. "you can't get a single footplate and they can't be made of plastic" the footplate on her last wheelchair was single plate, full plastic and was ok'd by her OT and 2 specialists and fit by Millbrook whom were sadly taken over by this company.
Sadly I couldn't be with her during the assessment so i couldn't completely contradict the abject lies my partner was told by this firm and she is too timid to argue with a stranger who thinks it's OK to browbeat someone into not receiving the things she needs and is entitled to
