A: The globe uses clever technology that harnesses the power of ambient light. Specialised solar cells inside power a quiet magnetic drive, which causes the globe to rotate smoothly and continuously on its stand. Q: Does it need bright sunlight to work? Will it spin in a normal room? A: While it loves sunlight, the globe is designed to work in normal indoor ambient light. Just place it in a well-lit room, and it will start to turn on its own without needing to be in a direct sunbeam. Q: Is there an on/off switch? How do I get it to start spinning? A: There's no on/off switch because it's completely automatic! Simply place the globe on its stand in a room with sufficient light, and it will begin to rotate all by itself. Q: Is the rotation silent? I'm worried about a humming or motor noise. A: The globe is designed for a calm and mesmerising display. Its unique magnetic drive system ensures a smooth and virtually silent rotation, making it perfect for a quiet office or living room. Q: How big is it? Will it fit on my desk? A: This is a compact display globe designed to fit perfectly on a desk, shelf, or mantelpiece. At around 4.5 inches across, it's large enough to be impressive but won't take up too much space. Q: How accurate is the map on the globe? A: The globe is highly detailed and provides a stunningly realistic view of our planet. It was created using high-resolution satellite imagery directly from NASA, complete with authentic cloud cover. Q: What's the best way to clean the globe? A: To keep your globe looking its best, we recommend gently wiping the outer shell with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they could damage the surface. Q: Is this a good gift for a child? A: While it's fascinating for all ages, it's designed as a decorative display piece rather than a hands-on toy. It would make a wonderful and educational gift for an older child or teenager with an interest in space, but it's not built for rough handling.
