Buying through Merryweathers Maltby was a smooth easy process, Emily was my negotiator and she kept me well informed on a weekly basis and provided me with a good solicitor. Both Merryweathers and my solicitors were very supportive during the whole process wouldn’t go anywhere else! We completed in 4 weeks! Service was amazing!

Catherine from merry weathers in Mexborough did a great job to push sale and purchase along so our chain didn’t collapse. She is a credit to the team as the sellers solicitors she was having to deal with were hard work and dragged their feet.

Put my mum's bungalow on the market with Merryweathers in Rotherham. Did not go well from the start the photos were poor and had to be retaken. The second batch of photos I had to crop and edit my self to get them looking reasonable.

Found a buyer after reducing the price by £20K. After six weeks of Merryweathers saying the sale was progressing well I phoned my solicitor to get an update, only to find that the buyers solicitor hadn't even opened a file and did not have a mortgage arrange contary to what the agent had been saying. Very poor sale's management. Also trying to get hold of anyone in the branch is difficult twice I have phone more than for times during the day only to get an answering machine. Still waiting after 5 days for the manager to phone me to explain why these problems have occurred. Now terminated contract and gone else where.

The team at Merryweathers Maltby were fabulous from start to end! They took all the stress out of moving house. Absolutely worth every penny!!

Really polite and helpful over the phone with any inquiries, and do great at bridging the gap between the tennant and landlord, never waiting ages to hear back.

Also Maggie guided me through repressurising my boiler over the phone without making me feel stupid, and I was being a bit stupid.. so thanks Maggie 🙂.

Mathew and Tasha you are an amazing team. Your level of professionalism and good customer service is out of this world 🌎 which is I don't mind having you looking after my property after buying it through you.

We are currently purchasing a house through Merryweathers (Barnsley branch) & have had the pleasure of dealing with Allie for around 7 months now. The house purchase has been far from plain sailing but at every stage Allie has been amazing! She has gone above and beyond on numerous occasions and we genuinely couldn't have got this far without her. She is an absolute asset to this Company!

I have recently taken my property off market with Merryweathers (Mexborough Branch).
At first was promising when wanting me to choose them to sell my property.
Once I chose them the service changed dramatically. I got past from pillar to post when chasing information saying someone else is looking after my account. Estate agent would just email and not call me, said they had tried to call but no missed calls.

The worst thing which I am flabbergasted about is when I had agreed figures with a potential buyer and took my property off the market, Merryweathers made me aware that the an element of the deposit was from her mum and had a gift letter from her. 2 months down the line with my property being off the market the buyer has now said that the “deposit” is not an option as the gift was subject to a sale of her mums property which has fell through…. Merryweathers do not ask for proof of funds and are just happy with a letter from the buyers mum I cannot believe this. From my experience in sales surely this is a certainty that affordability is checked.
Will never use Merryweathers and will tell all friends and family the same, terrible service.

Merryweathers picked up the pieces from another agent who I felt let me down. They sold my property within 24hrs of it being listed with them. I can’t fault the help or the comms throughout, they are very friendly but always professional. Thanks all!

Working in property I have come across many many Estate Agents, some good and some bad. Merryweathers most certainly fall into the good category and mainly because of the customer service and understanding shown by David. So far the process has been efficient and hassle free which is a breath of fresh air in the properyy game! I highly recommend.
