Visited the Hastings store on 11th September. Was served by Sophie who was very helpful. Sophie went to the trouble of checking the stockroom despite the system showing the size I wanted wasn't in stock. It was and she also gave me helpful information about the items I was choosing between. No hard sell just attentive and helpful. This is typical of my experience in this store.

We really needed to find some very specific footwear and Harry was super helpful and went above and beyond in supporting and advising us. Really knowledgeable and cheerful staff. It was a fantastic experience shopping here and we bought two pairs of footwear that were perfect for our needs when other shops in the high street weren't very helpful at all.

I visited Hastings branch to purchase items for my son's Silver DofE. I was served by Harry, he was so helpful and knowledge of the items I needed, socks and food. He also offered advice when asked about snacks to take which was completely out of his remit but so useful. His advice made my son's completion of his expedition a memorable experience. Thank you Harry

Paul in the Hastings store went above and beyond to make sure the hiking backpack was fitted correctly for my son so he won’t hurt his back carrying all of his stuff

Went to get a pair of walking boots only wanted cheap phil didn't try and up sell asked us full questions and helpful tips

Fabulous service at Millets yesterday. Phil was tremendously helpful in sorting out the right walking boots for myself and my husband. He listened to what we needed and made sure we left the shop with the perfect boots. I have just completed a 10 mile walk and my feet feel great. Thanks Phil

I returned to the Hastings store from my home in Eastbourne after getting outstanding service from Phil last week when I went to buy some walking shoes.
This time he guided me through buying some walking trousers, a waterproof jacket and some walking socks for my holiday in the Peak District next week.
After previously visiting all the other local shops selling similar items I can honestly say I won’t be wasting my time doing so again.
Phil’s knowledge and patience is a credit to both himself and Millets and I am most grateful to him.

Phil was an absolute dream! Helped me find a new pair of walking shoes and had so much knowledge. It’s been years since I’ve had anyone sell me shoes who knew anything about them. He was really honest about different brands and prices and I really got the sense that he was trying to find the right fit for me rather than making me buy the most expensive shoe. Lucky Hastings to have a Phil!

I was served by Phi who was so helpful. Explained to me all about walking shoes. Measured my feet and made me try many pairs to finally find one which is amazing.
The service was excellent and I am very pleased.

I was initially served by Phil who just couldn’t have been more helpful! He took so much time talking to me about what walking boots that would suit my needs and budget. He measured my foot and helped me try on several pairs. He even showed me how to tie the laces properly! I came back the next day to purchase the boots and was served by Lucy. She was just as helpful! I can’t rate the staff enough in this store! I could easily have bought the wrong boot if they hadn’t had been so knowledgeable and accommodating!

Our sales assistant, Ethan, was attentive, friendly and understood our requirements. It was refreshing to have a knowledgeable member of staff and we ended up making our purchases mainly because of his service and advice.

Went out of my way to help me. First with buying two coats for my daughter and then later when I needed to return one of them but couldn’t find the receipt. They looked back over transactions and we matched them up with my bank statement and they gave me a full refund. Many other shops would have just refused to give me my money back. I really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff.
