My daughter left mainstream secondary school due to lack of support with her AuDHD diagnoses/anxiety.
MVA has changed her life, she now has the support she needs, she feels heard and understood by her brilliant subject tutors. We have found communication with the school concise and effortless.
Because of MVA we now have our daughter back - she’s happy, healthy and learning! The SENDCO team are so helpful and a real support to SEN children and parents.

We did have online meetings with other well known online schools before choosing Minerva Virtual Academy - none of which compared to MVA.

I engaged Minerva Tutors after a recommendation by Minerva Virtual Academy to help with my children's transition from IB. There has been simply no-co-ordination between Minerva Academy and Minerva Tutors. I have had countless calls with both to try and fix this but to no avail. Aside from my enormous frustration, I am left deeply concerned now for my children whose progress has been way below expectations. I wish had made a decision to take my children elsewhere.

In response to the reply from Minerva, I would like to say the following: Thank you for your note. I appreciate your response and the goodwill gesture, as well as the efforts of the tutors involved.

However, my central concern remains unaddressed. My issue is not just about tutoring or cost, but the lack of coordination between the Minerva Tutors and the subject teachers at Minerva Virtual Academy. Without clear alignment between the two, it’s difficult to ensure that the tutoring is effectively reinforcing what’s being taught in class—or filling the right gaps.

Detailed tutor reports are helpful, but they don’t replace structured communication with the teachers responsible for overseeing curriculum and academic progression. Without that connection, the support risks becoming fragmented, which I believe has contributed to the outcomes we’ve seen.

My son joined year 9 last year and has been so happy ever since. The teachers apply a growth mindset and are truly kind, school is a joy, he looks forward to the clubs and you are part of a cool innovative education that prepares them for the real world. He loves the international mixing of his peers, the tech, the style replicates Uni in its approach, by giving children the skills to be organised and in control of their schedules. Would highly recommend. A & L.

Minerva Tutors have been absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
I got in contact with them just a few months before my daughter was due to sit her igcse English language exams.
Aly was fantastic and quickly set up English tuition with Sienna.
My daughter went from crying every time she opened an English language paper to it being the subject she felt most confident about. In just 2 months she went from barely achieving a grade 1 in mocks to achieving a grade 5 in her actual exam.
Without the help of an absolutely amazing tutor from Minerva Tutors this would never have been possible.
So grateful for all their help and would recommend them to anyone.
My only regret is that we didn’t use them sooner!

My daughter has been with Minerva since April due to being unable to access Mainstream education for medical reasons. They have been nothing short of excellent and she thoroughly enjoys the session even going as far as saying "that was the first English session I have ever enjoyed!" The administration is brilliant too, nothing too much trouble, emails and queries answered extremely quickly. Really glad we found this company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Minerva have been dedicated in delivering an amazing academic experience covering all our daughter's home tuition of 10 iGSCE subjects over the past year. My 12 year old son has recently started learning 121 with Minerva Tutors and in just a short space of time he has already gained more knowledge in each of the subjects he is learning, thanks to the outstanding teaching of each of the tutors who really care about the individual learning needs and progress of the student. My son looks forward to each tuition and is gaining more and more confidence in his abilities and his motivation has been restored. Being able to access 1:1 tutoring with Minerva Tutors has been game-changing. The tutors have helped to build exam confidence and content gaps given regular school anxiety over recent years. We only started in Y11 and wish we had done so much sooner !

Minerva is a great agency to work for as a tutor. The hours and income are reliable. MVA clients are eager and easy to work with. As a new tutor the hourly rate is high.
Responsive support staff and senior tutors are always available to answer any queries or concerns. Flexibility is expected from tutors but in return rescheduling is efficient and without complications.

Working as a tutor for Minerva is great and I would recommend them to anyone. Compared with other agencies, my experience has been nothing but positive and I look forward to continuing my work with them.

Minerva Tutors are extremely professional in their approach to both their students and parents. They provide a seamless service by taking the time to listen, understand then appropriately respond to their client's needs. Their service is also very prompt and efficient - including holiday periods.
After just two math tutorial's, my son's confidence and motivation has almost been completely restored. We are both delighted with his progress.

Minerva Tutors has been fantastic. They put together a homeschooling programme for my Year 11 daughter, who had left school due to bullying and needed tuition for the year until her GCSE exams. Purchased GCSE Math's, English and double Science few weeks ago for my son who is home schooling. Not received login details so he can start work, no reply to my emails and unable to get through on the phone.

I did not have a positive experience when I made an enquiry at Minerva.

Sara-Louise has transformed my daughter's maths marks but perhaps more importantly, she has eased her anxiety over maths. When I hired Sara-Louise in 2021, my DD was mostly getting marks in the 40-50% range. And while she still hasn't written her final GCSEs, her end of yr 10 mocks predicted an "8" and her latest mid-term test came back at 94% (and that's with a year of learning & revising still to go).

Since we've had Sara-Louise, my daughter has also sought her help with physics and a bit of chemistry I think. She can do it all! She is a very patient, polite person and always prepared (she is sure to ask my daughter what she would like to go over each week and will often send materials to her either before or after the session). She is flexible and equally effective teaching in person or online (which my daughter seems to prefer because she can remain undistracted in her room).

I have recently recommended her by name to one of my daughter's friends and after only one session she said she was so relieved to have found her.

Extremely happy with the decision to go with Minerva Tutors and Sara-Louise in particular.

Richard was a really ideal tutor for my son. He took time and trouble to identify the issues, both in approach and understanding. He provided oodles of encouragement and really helped get my son over his loss of confidence. He taught well, according to my son, and adapted lessons as necessary.
A levels are done now, and we are hopeful of a good mark in Maths, but whatever the results, my son is far more confident and happy and I'm sure what he has learned will be of great benefit

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Minerva for around 7 months and can say they are a joy to get along with and make organising sessions a breeze.
