Bit of false advertising

Bit of false advertising going on.....'We buy any bike in any condition' is not a true statement is it?

Poor communication and they clearly can't be straight with you.

We buy a wide variety of motorcycles, but we’re not always able to proceed with every enquiry. This depends on whether it’s commercially viable based on the bike, location, and current market conditions.

We always aim to assess this as early as possible and keep the process clear and straightforward for customers.

Efficient, friendly and good value

Unlike several other similar companies who didn't bother replying to me after I contacted them online, Motortradeteam immediately texted me and I was phoned shortly afterwards with a quote. Having accepted it I was contacted 24 hours before the planned collection to check it was convenient. Then I was contacted by Scott, the bike collector, an hour before he was due. He was very friendly, efficient and professional. The agreed cost was paid to me there and then with no quibbling. I was very impressed.

Great service

No hassle experience, other than a bit of chasing to get the bike collected.
Collection service from Scott was great, really nice guy, bike was a bit seized, got it moving, loaded, sorted paperwork efficiently, chased office to get transfer payment processed, can’t fault.

Agreed price with Sarah who seemed


Agreed price with Sarah who seemed great, nice chap came to pick up bike but only then did they find a discrepancy in the mileage on the bike which had happened many years before I owned it so wanted to negotiate a much lower price. I’d been absolutely honest all the way through and this has left a bad taste. The sale was not completed and the bike is back on eBay.

Hi, thanks for your feedback – and we appreciate your kind comments about Sarah and our driver.

We completely understand your frustration. The mileage discrepancy only came to light during collection, and regardless of when it occurred or whether you were aware of it, it does affect the bike’s value in the market.

Because of that, the offer had to be revised to reflect the new information. We always base our prices on the details provided, so if something material changes, the valuation has to change with it.

There was absolutely no pressure to proceed at the revised figure, and we respect your decision not to go ahead.

Was called back and the offer I got was insulting to say the least,20q7 ktm 1290 super adventure sport on 20k very nice condition was offered 3k ???? Can only think they prey on desperate people, no wonder they buy 90% of bikes with offeres like that whp wpuldnt, 2.7k less than we buy any bike

Thanks for the review. I’ll be honest, we had to read it a couple of times to work out what was being said (we’re still not sure what year a “20q7” is!).

The figure mentioned in the review isn’t the figure that was discussed, and the comparison made with another bike buying service was actually a part-exchange valuation against another bike, which isn’t directly comparable to a company purchasing a bike outright.

Our initial prices are simply automated guide figures based on the information submitted and are reviewed properly once we speak to the seller and understand the bike in more detail.

As for buying “90% of bikes”, we’re not sure where that statistic came from, but if it were true our job would be a lot easier!
