I bought two Leatherman pocket knives for Christmas presents. I researched the knives on various sites but Mountains Plus had the best price for the item. Actually, after receiving the knives I decided to buy a couple more.

I have had 2 bad experiences. The first, i ordered a product, should have had it by the time they informed me they didn't have it. The second,ordered
4 products with there credit card, after being approved. Then I got an email
Stating I was denied and 2 of the products were cancelled and 2 were still on the way. And to print off the label and return them. I purchased these before Christmas so I could make payments on them. Ended up having to
Pay for them all at once over the phone. It was a big hassle figuring out what I owed as well. After they sent them, the price dropped the very next day. Total hassle. Will never buy from this outfit again. The guy that handled my problem was ok but there communication and stock issues are
Really bad.

This is the second time I have ordered from Mountains Plus, and am very happy. Wow, my trekking poles showed up the very next day!

Called to make sure everything was really in stock and the reps were extremely helpful.

"Worst experience ever, ordered a Thule cargo box in stock that never shipped. After waiting over a month, asked for cancellation. 2 months later, my credit card gets charged even though the order was cancelled."

I ordered ruffin' it Healthful Chicken Tenders. They arrived in a timely manner; however, the contents are dry and brittle instead of moist. All packages contained several small, broken and unusable pieces. I most definitely did not get my money's worth.

When I ordered some baskets, they were shown as "in stock" and I was told they would ship within 48 hours. Two weeks later, I still hadn't received them. I had to personally contact MPgear to find out that the items were not, in fact, "in stock". They were backordered (I was given some BS about "it's in our other warehouse" — why not ship it directly from there?). It was more than a month before they finally arrived.

If the company had contacted me as soon as they realized there was a problem, I would have been fine with it. But to make me wait more than a month without any notification is extremely unprofessional.

While the price was right, I will never do business with this company again.

Have not put product together yet (Kuat Sherpa), so cannot speak to it's quality etc. But the Mountains Plus Company was very helpful, in addition to fast shipping. Plus, the BEST price I could find anywhere! Saved over $125.

The products in question were on backorder everywhere, so I shouldn't expect it quicker from Mountains Plus. However, their website seemed to indicate the product was available and would ship the next business day. It didn't ship until a week later.

If you use the "17 In Stock" style messaging everybody else uses, that would help with knowing whether to place a particular order, when a customer's in a hurry (as I was).

Otherwise, good website, hope you guys get it together - you've got better depth than a lot of other websites (incl. Amazon for cycling parts).

I had never heard of this company so I decided to call them. Excellent customer service over the phone. They answered every question I had. Decided to purchase the Yakima Fullswing bike rack from them. Highly recommend them.

Hopped on-line, late one Sunday night -- needed a full rack for my car to carry home my new kayak. Knew what I needed from the Thule web site. Went to Mountains Plus; found exactly what I needed. Additionally, found that it was 20% off (saved $120)! Ordered. And because I was given discounted shipping, I upgraded to expedited shipping. Received everything I ordered that week. Positively wonderful experience.

Item listed as "in stock" and shipped 2 weeks later. I was told the item was en route to them from their warehouse/supplier via web chat when checking order status. That's not what "in stock" means. The price was good and because I was not in dire need of said item the wait was ok, but frustrating. If you need items in a hurry look elsewhere. The low price = wait time. Ultimately, I received what I wanted.

Ordered a Thule bike rack for my car and shipping said it would take 7-10 business days, but the darn thing took 14-20 days! I had to keep checking on the item to find out what the issue was. Customer Service was very helpful but I was just so irritated it took so long. AND the item was used! Not very happy with my experience

Any time I know exactly what I need for hiking gear I go straight to mpgear.com to see if they have it. If they do, I buy! The pricing is great and the service excellent. I received a great deal on two sleeping bags and they added two free sleeping pads, size of my choice. Afterwards I had to change my order, they answered and accommodated me immediately. Later I received an email with 20% coupon and used it to buy a tent I've been eyeing for awhile. Not only did I get the tent I wanted for a discount, the 20% off added another $80 in savings. I've spent about $850 with this company this year and saved over $200! I would recommend them to anybody consider an outdoor equipment purchase. Thank you MPGear!

I found MPGear for the first time after receiving a coupon from a trail race, and was quickly impressed by their selection of gear across the spectrum of sports/pursuits.

Since using that first coupon, I've returned to buy from these folks more than once - sometimes it's the only site where a given item is listed for sale... anywhere (online).

Keep this company in your 'first-tier' consideration set - not just for gear availability, but for competitive prices AND paid-shipping above $45. Thanks y'all!

That' s the 2nd time I bought a tent from MPgear and for the 2nd time I was not disappointed!!!! Great bargain and extraordinaly fast delivery.

I am an amazon.com PRIME member mainly for the free 2 day shipping. I purchased a Northface jacket from Amazon which sadly was not eligible for 2 day shipping. I ordered it on Sunday and it surprisingly was delivered on Tuesday. I was amazed that it was shipped out so quickly.
