Mql5 is a go to platform for trading. A little old school but it works fine, they have many good categories and I have posted many jobs and got great help from people all over! Their EAs, indicators and tools are fantastic (well most) and MT5 offers world class level trading! Great!

Not good platform

I love MT5. I worked with it for the past 3-4 years. I develooped my own EAs to trade with. I decided maybe I want to share, to sell some of them back to the community.

As a seller, absolute nightmare of experience. My account was banned just because I raised the question, their verification system is very wrong.

It's not verification system it's a filter to block any good EA from honest owner/creator like me.

Ask yourself, who blocks honest and true seller, from which they take 20% on every sale...

Not free market. I believe 100% charlatans.

Developing an EA project according given specs, budget and deadlines was a disaster, the developers are not existing it is one big SCAM! So never ever use this platform, everything is fake and made to rip you, don't even think about to take a VPS on this platform, they can rob your bank account very slowly or in ones!!

I have been a developer in the algorithmic trading space for years. Recently, I returned to MQL5 to offer a completely free tool to the community—no profit motive, just helpful code.

When legitimate users left detailed, positive reviews, the MQL5 system flagged them as "suspicious" and hid them. Meanwhile, the "Market" top sellers are flooded with hundreds of one-word, 5-star reviews that are clearly incentivized or bought, and MQL5 allows this to continue.

When I attempted to discuss this on their forum to warn new traders, my post was immediately deleted by moderators for "Conspiracy Theories."

Warning to new traders: Do not trust the review system on MQL5. It is rigged to favor high-commission sellers who game the system, while honest, free contributions are suppressed and censored. The platform cares about commissions, not integrity.

I purchased a trading bot (scalp unscalp) from the Market. After some time using it, I discovered serious issues that were not clear at the time of purchase.

A bonus/update that was advertised was later removed by the developer, which significantly changed the value and functionality of the product. After this, the product no longer matched what was initially presented.

I contacted support, but unfortunately I did not receive any refund. In total, I lost around $200 without getting a proper resolution.

Based on my experience, I would advise other users to be very cautious and to fully understand the risks before purchasing. (username : kallouch9)

if I could give 0 I would. DO NOT buy VPS from these people. they've routed me through Tokyo and its cloning my trades, doubling my risk and they wont route me through New York when asked. I lost $125 last week because of this and they answer my messages with short nonhelpful answers trying to blame me

The MQL deleted my account without any reason.
After reporting a seller who pays for reviews, the platform deleted my account without any explanation.
I tried to get in touch, but there is no way to reach any human support.

I hired three programmers to complete a reasonably simple Expert Advisor (EA). Unfortunately, none of them were able to deliver a finished product. I requested a refund, asking for the funds to be transferred back to my account. I was then told that this was not possible.

According to them, once you deposit money, you have to spend it—regardless of the outcome. This approach appears to be a deliberate exploitation of a Western-style understanding of customer service, where trust and fairness are often assumed. Instead, these individuals seem to rely on deception, taking your money and showing no accountability once it's gone.

This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had. I will never repeat this mistake, and I urge others to proceed with extreme caution when dealing with these developers.

They accept only silly and unuseful codes to be shared!!
i tried to post my very professional code, they deleted it without any notice and any email or comment to me!!!
they are working with the big fishes!
they even stoped me from freelancing after i teached thousends with my codes!

The company is based in Russia, but to avoid US sanctions (and to be able to receive credit card payments from outside of Russia), they have offices in Cyprus and some other places. However, to make some money, the majority of sellers and developers are selling fake software downloaded on the web, with so many fake comments, making the impression that so many customers are thrilled with an EA or indicator. Developers generally work at a level that enables them to use AI to create something similar to your request. I ordered a job/EA for $200.00, and after the fourth developer was unable to finish it, I requested my money back. They told me that money is not refundable. So I was out $280.00 and had no EA. Yes, $280.00. Any time a developer is unable to finish a job, you as a customer are paying a penalty of 10% for the developer not being able to finish a job. Total scammers. And in the end, support will act as if they are doing you a big favor; you just don't understand that. If their tactics do not succeed, they will threaten to close your account and take further actions. Stay away from this website's freelancing service; do not buy any product. They don't play fair; they are thieves….

A bonanza for forex scammers selling garbage expert advisors with rigged backtest results and fake five star reviews. If you're thinking about buying EA/subscribing to signals to easily make money, don't. You'll be sorry.

If it is possible, I could give minus 10 stars for their service and systems. They stole my EA from me.

For over a decade I have been involved in trading, and the MT4 platform was a lifesaver when it came to trading and many other things. The MT4/MT5 trading station is developed by Russian company MetaQuotes Software Corporation. After the giant success of MT4, MetaQuotes Software Corporation decided to discontinue the platform, particularly the 32-bit edition, and focus solely on developing the MT5 station, although many brokers and users worldwide still rely on the MT4 platform. Although it may not seem wise, this is indeed the case. The company also developed an MQL language for its trading stations with which you can develop automated robots that will, using an MT4/5 station, trade automatically for you based on a strategy that you programmed into the robot, which is called Expert Advisor, or EA for short.

On their website, they also have a freelancing service where programmers can develop an EA for you. But that’s when you have to be extremely careful.

Many people are used to the Western way of precision and efficiency, which is in total conflict with this Russian company and freelancing service, Perhaps that westernized mentality is used against the people who lose money expecting something that was paid for.

The majority of people (about 95%), whom they call developers, are unable to finish any kind of job.

I would classify them as

- Idea hunters—people who will sweet-talk you into giving them your idea/project, and you will never hear from them again.

- Sellers—People who will get your project idea, then tell you how bad it is, and sell you another "great" EA. And they will act as lifesavers.

- Manipulators—So you give them a project to finish for you. Now that they're in "charge," they'll try to convince you that you're wrong, and you'll answer Viber calls at night. They will attempt to intimidate you in every way, belittle your intelligence, and hurl insults, simply because they are unable to complete your project. If you disagree with them, they will try to trick you into ending up with a job. And with all flows of the MQL5.com website, they will get paid, and this goes on forever. And in the end, many people just simply give up and pay up just to get rid of the problem. MQL5.com will do nothing; why should they? They will get 10% payment anyway.

So it is impossible to do anything about it because MetaQuotes Software Corporation did not set any rules about anyone being a developer. According to their outlook, even a simple task will not be completed by 95%+ of developers. And how the MetaQuotes arbitration works: as a customer, when you file a complaint (request for arbitration), you will always pay 10% of the original price to MetaQuotes regardless of whether you get your EA finished or not. Meaning that customers always lose either 10% or 100%. Developers never lose anything, even if they do not do anything.

It happened to me that I originally ordered EA for $200, but because six developers did not finish my EA, I ended up paying $120 just to MetaQuotes Software Corporation. Last time I ordered EA, and after a month the developer did not give me a single line of code. It took them 3 months to return my payment, minus, of course, 10%. And just another example: I ordered a $300 EA program, and the developer produced an EA that had nothing to do with what I ordered. He won because apparently he did not understand my complaint; that was the reason, and a day later the case was closed in the developers favor as "due to inactivity???" So I am out of $300 and out of EA. The complaint was very basic: EA was opening 3 trades instead of two, as requested by the specification order. But they were constantly playing the game of “developer does not understand your complaint.” Subsequently, I discovered that the developer has a connection to the MQL5 mafia and could potentially be working for them.

Just another piece of information:

When choosing a developer for your project, you cannot see his/her history; it's hidden.

CCustomer support is almost nonexistent. Most of the time, you will be interacting with poorly configured AI.

Yes, they ban people/customers who complain and also delete their comments.

EA sellers are using fake reviews to attract naive customers.

You must deposit money to hire a developer. Under any circumstance, you will never see this money ever again. So let's say hypothetically after five developers do not finish your job, you will lose 50% of your original deposit, and if you try to take your money back, THEY WILL NOT GIVE IT TO YOU. So let's say you don’t get your EA the way you want. You will lose 100% anyway, under any circumstance.

I developed a highly effective trading EA with a 100% win rate and was looking for someone to convert my Python code to MQL5 so I could use it on MetaTrader. Unfortunately, I hired three different evelopers in a row, and they all did the same thing: they asked for the code, and once I sent it, they stopped responding. The funds I deposited MQL5 are now stuck, and to make matters worse, there's no customer support available. I strongly advise avoiding this website.

Никогда не надейтесь на якобы арбитражные процедуры ресурса MQL5! Мой опыт как заказчика был ужасен. Разработчик затянул все сроки работы более чем на месяц. В итоге передал прототип советника, абсолютно нерабочий. Там было огромное количество багов, очевидно разработчик не покрывал их тестами. Уровень его квалификации был очевидно низким. Разработчик с трудом ориентировался в ТЗ, хамил и вымогал деньги за якобы дополнительные работы, которые по факту были в рамках ТЗ. Наконец наступил край моему терпению и была оформлена претензия в арбитраж на возврат средств. И каково было мое удивление - арбитраж фактически встал на сторону разработчика, не смотря на очевидность проблем с прототипом. И даже в этом случае арбитраж был вынужден со скрипом признать несколько существенных багов в представленном прототипе (всего было около 15 версий прототипа и баги все еще продолжались). И теперь самое интересное - арбитраж отказал мне в требовании прекратить работу и вернуть средства. Более того, представители этого арбитража (кто бы они там ни были) - тупо принуждали меня дальше сотрудничать с разработчиком, который через хамство и препирательство все таки исправлял свои баги. Этот безумный процесс длился более 4 месяцев, это просто издевательство над клиентами-заказчиками. В итоге видимо они поняли, что процесс действительно бесконечный... И, внимание, на очередном баге они вместе с разработчиком стали вымогать (!) дополнительные оплаты разработчику за то, что должно было выполнено разработчиком по ТЗ. Абсолютно неправосудное поведение, далекое от процессуальной корректности. Это просто судилище вкупе с вымогательством, а не арбитраж. Не имея возможности оспорить очевидные баги - они (арбитраж совместно с разработчиком) просто брали измором. Итого - 5 месяцев стресса и бесполезных тестов с моей стороны. Будьте осторожны!. Если вы рассчитываете, что ваши права как заказчика будут защищены, то это не так. Вы потратите нервы и время. У них там круговая порука с разработчиками. Видимо обиженные заказчиками разработчиками просто перешли со своими обидами в арбитраж. И теперь в принятии решений руководствуются личной неприязнью к заказчикам. Используйте другие эскроу. А теперь - развитие ситуации. Часть вторая. Смешная, но не очень. Обращение на форум портала с описанием ситуации знаете к чему привело? Модератор этого форма мне прямо сообщил, что это я сам виноват во всех своих злоключениях. И надо было заказывать работу напрямую у них на форуме! Что политикой портала прямо запрещено. Оцените весь маразм ситуации. Они создали систему фриланса с арбитражной процедурой - и...? Ну вы курсе - конечно, вы сами виноваты, что этот так называемый арбитраж не оправдал ваших ожиданий. Конечно же, эту ветку удалили на форуме, хотя я просто хотел предупредить потенциальных заказчиков о рисках на своем конкретном опыте. Т.е. у вас не просто отберут деньги, но и закроют вам рот. Оруэлл отдыхает. Или – бывших плохих разработчиков не бывает, они теперь в арбитраже.

Simple and effective method.

Can't get money out. They refuse to update and fix the payment processing for withdrawing money earned, leaving many sellers with money stuck for months. They have the worst customer service.

I've been a long standing clients of MQL5.com, from past 15 years!

Recently, I purchased several EA's as they're ranked high by MQL and constantly were displayed when I logged in, and have excellent backtesting results, also many had real live profitable signals shown on MQL5.com site.

All were expensive automatic trading bots.

But they were completely the opposite in real trading and made huge loses.
So not only I paid upfront a huge sum of money for these bots but had huge loses after I paid when the bots traded.

On complaining to MQL5.com that I was mislead in buying this bots by the developer, and that MQL5.com helped these developer by advertising the fraudulent product (signal/backtest) and that I was sold a misleading and faulty product by their site, I was banned !!!

Yes, they ban people who complain and also delete their comments !!
Many users had their comments removed and were banned post asking for a refund and complaining about developer or MQL5.com.

I, along with 40+ users were making loses whereas just 4-5 uses were showing they were making profits just in screenshots, which was not possible with same broker being used by all.

On asking about trading journal to these users of EA Goldenity, we discovered that this developer was using fake reviews, by "planting users within the forum", which is apparently a common practice on MQL5.com.

This website should only be used to get mql coding done by freelancers, not to buy any products.

Not only i and others had no refund for fraudulent product, EA Goldenity, sold by MQL5.com but we were harassed on complaining to MQL5.com.

So, 1st they injure you than they literally tortured the victims like sadist !!

MQL5 is a website, designed, developed and run by the scammers, for the scammers !!

This site should be banned altogether

Beware guys, when you buy any product such EA than consider your money gone for the purchase and loses thereafter. If you complain, you'll be banned!
