Food is poor for the price you pay. Cocktails are shocking. Manager tried saying my card was declined but transaction come out of the bank. No table numbers for tables, no service. There was only one girl waitress that was smiley and very polite the rest of them were not respectful and didn’t give you service with a smile. Toilets were disgusting! My fella went to the toilet and there was a toilet seat on the floor. Toilets were a perfect example of the food. Wouldn’t be going here again.

After visiting the Blackpool site 8th July, I have to say very disappointing. Food was of very poor quality for the price paid.

Toilets were appalling, broken toilet seat and I guess it had been like it for awhile.

As for the gloves supposedly to be used by guests whilst selecting food needs to be closely monitored as so many people seem to ignore. There were enough staff wondering around to remind people to wear the gloves that are supplied.

Mr Basrais is a joke my son was In the disabled/toddlers changing room the owner/peeping Tom suggested when he saw me to go to the male toilet so I told him I'm ok as my sons In the disabled he was literally loitering outside the staff room and disabled toilet with intent of god nos what he didn't seem to believe me and said were with his ed shaped like a boomerang ready to stick in head round the door fortunately my son had his trolleys up and the little cheeky sod/owner didn't cop an eye full we then had a war of words inreguards to the matter as I was made to feel like a liar I then further went on to prove that I could use that toilet as I am classed as disabled showing him the mess operations have made to my stomach due to having dv divaticular disease and pointed out not all disabilities are visible he then went on to tell me I should have an exempt thi g round my kneck why should I I'm not dodging wearing a mask I feel levels of disrespect embarrassment and shame having to show him are war of words even ended up nearly being physical talking to me the way he did infront of my son f,ING and jeffing just wish my son wasn't there because I'd of Daniel son him to the nut sack never will u see me in this poohome again the place is as cheap and primark hope a wave comes over Blackpool and washes it away

Good hard working staff who always go above and beyond. Also very clean! Will be coming again for sure.

As a former waitress I 100% do NOT recommend Mr Basrais! First of all the staff getting treated like absolute crap by the managers and each other, there is no time for breaks or lunches so that means your working 3pm-11pm non stop with no time to sit and rest majority of the time we couldn’t even get a drink as the manager would come over screaming saying if we stop working we will loose our job and if she was having a really bad day she would threaten us with her “well known family” I remember walking in on my first day of work and seeing 2 grown men laying on top of each other sleeping and I was so concerned as they looked absolutely awful and if the customers had seen the state of the staff room they wouldn’t want to eat their! Our manager used to force dirty cutlery into our mouths if we couldn’t carry it on top of the Dirty dishes which during a global pandemic is not very safe as we could of contracted many things! They didn’t care about the COVID restrictions at all and used to let their “friends” into the kitchen and sit and talk whilst my colleagues and I worked the souls of our shoes just to make her happy. Don’t even get me started on the food! The conditions of the food kitchen was horrendous and only got cleaned once a week! I’m genuinely heartbroken that people have to eat from this place because it’s vile.

Great place and run well, it is what it is , quick fast food. Great seating , fresh food, easy parking and great staff. We come from London for day trips to Blackpool and always eat here. xx

I have found the site at Blackpool to be well stocked and varied parking is easy with multi-storey above that is enclosed with near zero chance of theft given layout. Being seated is either stright in or at most 10 mins wait at busier times

I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed to be writing this review. I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for many years but obviously haven’t been recently because of covid. As I arrived I was greeted with a big smile by the lady who usually serves us who couldn’t be anymore welcoming, as she always is. We were then seated and the mask policy was explained to which I stated I had a medical exemption. Next thing I know the manager is standing in front of me shouting at me that if I don’t wear a mask I cannot eat here. Everyone was now staring at us as we got up to leave. Mortified was an understatement. I cannot believe as a customer who has been dining here for years that I have been discriminated against in this manner.

One star is generous! Wish I could leave no stars. Got there to be greeted by rude and unhelpful staff. Paid for the all you can eat and the money came straight out my bank. I proved this to them and they claimed they hadn’t been paid, they asked for my name number address and last four digits of my bank card. Anyway they let me and my partner “enjoy” our meal and bothered us numerous times with these issues. The food was average at best and the portion sizes were ridiculously small. I bought an extra round of drinks and funnily enough this transaction went through straight away, the drinks were overpriced and my lager was watered down. Anyway the manager let me leave with no further mention of the “missed payment”. Since then I have gone back to my hometown and received numerous calls from mr Basrais harassing and threatening me about this payment. This has caused me an undue amount of stress as I have had to contact my bank to see what has been going on. My bank have now assured me twice that the payment has gone through and provided me with evidence of this. After sending this to Mr Basrais via email they still wouldn’t let it lie and continued to call me threatening me and trying to make me pay again. I have had to contact the police to stop them doing this! I have since learnt that Mr Basrais have been doing this to a few people after lockdown to try and earn a bit of extra cash. Avoid this place at all costs the experience itself left a lot to be desired, and that’s not even taking into consideration they tried to scam me! Do not go here! To confirm I am talking about the Blackpool branch and have no experience in any other Mr. Basrai restaurant.

If there was any rating number less than one, I would choose that to rate this place in Blackpool.
We (three families- 10 person) were there last night.
at cashier, the guy asked for £3 for a 14 months old baby, who cannot eat any kind of food they serve in their restaurant. When we asked why we should pay this, he said this is the policy of Mr. Basrai restaurant. Finally, after few minutes discussion when he saw special food box of the baby in her moms bag, he agreed to not charging us! What a shame!
Also I believe this restaurant has a big health issue, no one from the staff are using gloves! When at the dessert section I asked for ice cream scopes, same guy from cashier, who his hands is always in contact with coins and cash, used the spoon to give me ice cream. I asked him to use glove, fortunately he accepted my request and used ew gloves. The worst part was when I asked the restaurant manager to asked his staff for using gloves, he told me “ thank you for your comments, but no one in this restaurant will never use gloves!”
Finally, as expected, my comments had some consequences; they did not activate my parking pass, therefore I paid extra £1.5 for a parking that should be free for the restaurant customers.
I will never come back to this restaurant, the manager and some staffs are very impolite. This not a healthy place to eat. The quality and price is not comparable with similar restaurants.

Good selection of food some excellent and some not so good

I'm a business student in Manchester ,newly i came Blackpool to visit my mother, this evening went to Mr.Basrai world cuisine in Blackpool and it is one of our favourites buffet restaurants to go to (must be about 20 times we've been). Food, as usual, was fantastic, a huge choice, always cooked fresh and tastes amazing with unlimited refills on soft drinks,Hospitality is first class, staff attentive. There was no request too small or trivial for the duty manager who was very helpful, charming and friendly. We will be back soon.

Went Mr basrai's with friends for weekend dinner. Food was hot and fresh but they brought our drinks a bit late and we have to remind waiters about our cocktails. Apart from that, everything was great and we enjoyed sampling food from different cuisines. Defo will be returning soon!

Travelled from Widnes to the Blackpool one for this as we had a good experience in the past. After this time we won't return, I could cook tastier food with my eyes closed and hands tied behind my back. Everything was just caked in salt. No taste to any dish. Spoke to the manager who tried to get a chef to cook something with a bit of taste, and even still he couldn't. Needs to hire people who actually know how to cook.

I love fountainparks Mr Basrais. Lovely food, lovely staff who are always welcoming, very friendly manager and by far superior, in all respects including cleanliness, to there rival cosmos.
