Poor customer service.
Poor communication

Customer service is non existant. Took 2 hours longer than originally stated to complete the service and then closed before we could get car back. No idea if any work has been done on the car at all. Tbh but my main issue was with the shocking customer service. Argumentative and unprofessional behavior from the manager.

Very disappointing and unprofessional service. I booked my car for a tyre change and MOT, but they delayed requesting authorisation until the afternoon despite claiming they were chasing it every hour.
The car was returned without the MOT completed, with oil stains on the mat and dashboard, and the park assist now not working. Poor communication and lack of care throughout.

23.08.26 I order mobile tyre fitter, because of the bubbles on my tyres he came after his normal work hours,thank you 😃 , Stuart was very professional and nice from start to finish. Thanks again Stuart - great job 👍😊

Excellent customer service at Bishops Stortford centre last week. Thank you to the receptionist, her manager and mechanics were all very professional, helpful and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend!

They stole fuel from my car!!!! I am lost for words. On route to the national tyres in at Austell. I put £15.00 in fuel. This gave me ⅓ of a tank. It failed it's mot. And driving home I noticed my car was flashing a low fuel warning. No that amount of fuel would do me well over 100 miles. So not sure what they did for the MOT to make all that fuel disappear. Is this a standard practice to steal fuel from car brought in for mots or service?

Took my car in for MOT at Worksop branch, passed absolutely fine. Got back to the car with damage on the drivers door that wasn’t there before. Older guy who did MOT (Michael Bowling I think from the paperwork) was extremely rude saying “well I’ve not done that”, “it was like that already” etc. Claimed they had pictures showing it was there beforehand, looked at the pictures they took of the car pre-MOT. No damage. Now claiming it must have happened in the carpark, although I didn’t see an artic in the carpark to have caused a ding so high up. Absolutely shocking customer service, will avoid in future.

The car is due to be traded in in the next couple of weeks, damage will obviously impact the valuation (valuation already agreed however this was before damage). Spoke to central customer support on Saturday 29/08, who advised someone will be in touch in 7 working days and to get quotes. I’ve had quotes and struggling to find availability before trade in, waiting on update from customer service.

Will avoid in future and implore everyone else to avoid too!

They did not turn up to fit my tyres- disgraceful

Fixed a puncture, minimal fuss or charge. No problems.

Very simple online booking in service, I was able to book in with less than 24 hours notice. We had an issue with the rear brakes on our car so took it in this morning for the free check. Dropped the car off at 08.30 and in less than an hour got a call telling me what the issue was and what was required to put it right. The lads there needed to order parts so I expected a long wait. The job overall took less than 4 hours in total and we our have car back good as new. The lads there are spot on, they are really helpful, professional and knowledgeable. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Great team, thanks.

IEUAN come to change the rear tyres for my van very friendly and really helpful. Explain what I have to do in the future. And very quick thank you.

I took my car in for an MOT and it failed. Having the car serviced a day earlier at another garage, I took it back to rectify the issue. The people who serviced the car made it clear that there was nothing wrong it and would have passed the MOT had they carried the test. I took the car back to National for a retest (without any changes/adjustments being made) and lo and behold it passed. The excuse I was given was that the service which was carried out needed time to "bed" in!!! A few hours of my life I will never get back - not to mention the stress. Never going back again.

What a waste of time.
Had one of my tyres destroyed and booked an appointment for replacement. Paid £510 and rescheduled my life and work around the basis that national tyres know what is talking about.
Came to the store to find the the person assigned to do the job is not at the premises at the moment.
Waited 30 minutes for the person to arrive only to find out that "the order hasn't gone through and the tyres are not in the building".
Now I have to reschedule my life, travel and work again to convenience national tyres again.
Appalling way of running a business.
What "the order hasn't gone through" even means?
I got SMS reminder for the appointment, receipt and my card was charged.
If they can't get this straight, how can I trust them with my and my family's life when doing something so important?
And who is going to pay for the day off work that YOU just made me waste?

National Tyres (owned by Halfords),fitted a replacement tyre to my van.
Due to an admitted fitting error (the inner wall got pinched), I had a blow-out 70 miles into France!

Over a year later I'm still trying to get my refund and some recompense for the cost of hotel I needed due to being stranded in France!
WILL NEVER BUY FROM NATIONAL TYRES OR HALFORDS AGAIN !

Absolutely disgusted with Halfords and National Tyres.

Hope this saves someone else from lots of trouble buying from un-caring companies.

The team were amazing. 20 minutes before closing they did an emergency tyre change which for us was the difference between getting to a family wedding or not. Thanks to them we had a great day at the wedding. And the price was really reasonable. Can't thank you enough. Highly recommended

If i could give zero i would. Booked for mobile tyre fitting... first time waited for 3 hours and they did not turn up. They rebooked for a week later and did not show up again.
Did not bother to tell me on either occasion.
I would add they knew this was being done not at my home address so I had to travel there.
Used a local supplier who was there in an hour and cheaper!!!

Paid for wheel balancing and tracking with a set of tyres but the garage said the price of the tyres already included the balancing, and they couldn’t do the tracking because they had a broken vehicle on the ramp. Was told I would be refunded but never was. Ignore emails and messages. Total con artists, avoid at all costs.

Good service from James and Matt will definitely be coming back for wheels next time I need them

Perfect service today kash was very polite and helpful also the tyre fitter tyrone was also very helpful would definitely recommend.
