i've order many times from Neptune and always a great exp. it's usually the Australian customs i have an issue with. however any time i have an issue with Aust customs i email neptune and they are always there to help. so nothing bad to say about them.. one of the best companies i've dealt with

I’ve bought cigars from Neptune’s bricks and mortar store in Fort Lauderdale previously and recently made an online purchase for a friend in the US to collect.
Neptune are always a pleasure to deal with face to face and their online customer service is faultless. Very efficient and couldn’t be more helpful. I’m a very satisfied customer.

I have been ordering from Neptune for several years always great selection, service and shipping great people. Never any problems, receive my orders quickly responsive to inquiries regarding cigar questions too.

Update on 7th Feb 2024
I have changed the star rating from 3 to 5 because the cigars eventually arrived.
I'm still irritated about the insurance cover but as Neptune staff were very generous to me regarding the refund I added a star and my brother tells me that the cigars are an excellent mild smoke, which he favours, so another star added.
I do however have a warning to others in the UK that buy cigars online from the USA.
Let me start by saying that I was very naïve.
I realised that there would be VAT charges on the goods I ordered but was unaware of the excise duty amount.
Alcohol and tobacco goods have to pay excise duty which is charged, according to the government, to "... help ensure a level playing field ...".
The value of the cigars, a double bladed cutter and a punch was £133.72.
Vat charge was £54.31 and excise duty was £137.85
(tobacco duty is currently £367.61/kilo and the cigars I bought weighed 375grams)
So VAT + Duty = £192.16, which amounts to 144% of the goods value.
Had I been aware of this I would not have bought the cigars etc.
What I suggest, to those of you that are able to travel, is to take a flight to Florida, either Miami or Fort Lauderdale international airports and visit the nearby Neptune super stores (maybe Neptune has a store in the airports themselves)
There you can buy up to 50 cigars, regardless of the weight or price of those cigars, then fly back to the UK where you can legally walk through the green channel as no VAT or Excise Duty is liable on your purchase.
Plus of course you save on the charge you would have had to of paid for shipping and insurance had Neptune shipped them to you by post.
Quick check for flights UK to Miami and back, and I found a deal for £253, which is a little over the vat+duty charge that I paid, but I suspect there are better deals out there. If you tied it in with a short break to the US then the flight cost is immaterial.
But you'd have to do the calculations to see if the flight cost was better for you than having the cigars shipped.
If Neptune staff read this review maybe they can suggest it as an option to future UK customers.
*** end of 7th Feb 2024 update ***

The reason for three stars is that my cigars never arrived, even though they were sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48. Tracking shows they arrived at Heathrow International LC (Logistics Centre), which apparently was the wrong department so they sent it Heathrow International DC (Distribution Centre). It bounced back and forth between LC and DC when finally the tracking updates ended.
Anyhow I digress as obviously the Royal Mail mishandling is not the fault of Neptune Cigars.
So I took off one star as I've no idea how good they are.
The second star I took off because I was only provided with one carrier option and I foolishly assumed that the insurance cover was for the full cost of the cigars and a couple of other small items.
Sadly I learnt that only $100 was covered so although I did get a partial refund plus the cost of postage I was left $67.63 out of pocket. So no cigar.
So if you're an overseas customer make sure that the insurance cover is for the full amount of your items.
It would certainly be good if Neptune Cigars provided details of the insurance.

Neptune cigars undoubtedly the greatest store that I have ever dealt with. At 64 years old and over 30 years in retail I think I know perfection when I see it. Top quality cigars perfect condition, fast delivery and well packaged. And the staff best of the best, they are really passionate about cigars and the service they offer.
I will never buy from anywhere else.
Shame I live 4,500 miles away. Keep it up.
