A fantastic stay in a beautiful house! Thank you for providing a comfortable and cosy place to stay, with more than enough provisions for all eight of us (plus two dogs!) to enjoy. Have booked a few properties with Norfolk Hideaways over the last 4-5 years and houses are always of a very high standard. This year the house we booked was in need of redecoration and we were a bit disappointed with it. Norfolk Hideaways were fantastic, incredibly responsive and helpful, and actually moved us to a fabulous property within 24 hours. Can't thank them enough, would highly recommend and we'll continue to book through them for holidays in North Norfolk.

I go to Norfolk 2 or 3 times a year. I book with Norfolk Hideaways as their properties are always a high standard and the booking site easy to navigate. I have a favourite and have just booked the same cottage for the sixth time!

Book a large house in Burnham Market for a special birthday with my children & grandchildren.

Absolutely loved our holiday at South View, West Runton. Four life long friends and two dogs. Brilliant succluded location and well equipped modern property and contained garden. My husband and I have visited North Norfolk for over twenty years and I must admit South View is our favourite.
We were made to feel welcome by our neighbours, village store/post office and dog friendly places to eat out.
Fabulous local walks, pretty corner and other national trust parks to walk our furry friends. Also, fabulous weather.
Norfolk Hideaways were helpful throughout, amending our booking and extending our stay. Good friendly service overall x

The day we were arriving at Holly Lodge in Wells we got a phone call from Sam to say that one of the showers was leaking and please not to use it which was annoying but we were compensated. Whilst there we tried to use the very old looking washing machine which didn't drain despite trying three different cycles. Again, after a phone call to Sam she sent round their maintenance man straight away who unfortunately couldn't fix it and offered to call out the washing machine repair man but as we were spending the day in the house we chose not to say yes as we didn't want the inconvenience of having him there. The house was in a great position close to the town and was warm and comfortable. It just felt as if it needed a bit of an overhaul in some areas.

Very friendly, professional and experienced team. Always quick to sort out any queries, issues if there are any. We have stayed in many Norfolk Hideaways properties over the last 10 years and have not been disappointed.

What an amazing Christmas we had. Truly memorable. This cottage stands out, whether it is seclusion, views of the clear night sky even a shooting star, to being at one with nature, spotting rare birds to owls. Easy access to beautiful attractions, May Cottage with its beautiful high quality interior is a wonderful choice. Can’t fault one aspect.

We booked a property for Christmas so our family which is split between Somerset, London and Norfolk, could be together. The day before we were due to make the 6 hour drive from Somerset, we had a call to say there was a problem with the property and it was no longer available! Norfolk Hideaways quickly found some other properties we could potentially use and we selected Larks Rise in Burnham Market. What a superb property it was. We had an absolutely lovely Christmas and made lots of memories. Thank you Norfolk Hideaways for ensuring we had a fantastic Christmas.

Booked a very expensive cottage and ended up with a staircase that was treacherous and so many rules and regulations that we left four days early and paid for other dog friendly accommodation. We had to strip the beds before we left! In all the years we have stayed in self catering accommodation we have never had to do that or endure such a disappointing customer experience. We will never book again.

Curlew Apartment, Wells-next-the-Sea. Lovely, bright and well equipped apartment with own car parking space, only 30 yards or so from the main road by the harbour. Superb welcome pack of goodies that lasted all week! Norfolk Hideaways are superb. They helped us pick this gem and always provide clear instructions on location and how to get in. And on previous bookings if there has been an issue they are super quick and efficient in getting things solved. Thanks - Richard and Bella

The Old Manor House, Brancaster. The house itself was as advertised-well equipped and very clean. However the cold tap in one of the bedrooms would not turn on. We notified Norfolk Hideaways on arrival, who explained they knew about the problem, and the plumber would be fixing it on the day we left. That was fine, but we should have been told before arrival. The shower then stopped working. This left one shower and a bath for nine people. Conscious of the water shortage none of us felt comfortable having a bath. Norfolk holidays acted on our e mail quickly, and the plumber was expected the next day, to fix both the shower and tap. This meant someone having to wait in. The plumber arrived and expected to be able to turn off the water. The stop valve was not under the sink in the kitchen as the house instructions said. My husband even pulled out the dishwasher to check behind that. Unable to find the inside valve the plumber then checked for the outside one. This was located on the drive. Unfortunately this was too tight to switch off. Luckily the plumber was able to fix the shower, but not the tap. One of the other taps was loose but that could not be fixed either as the water could not be switched off.
I was not happy as the stop-valve position should have been made very clear. Had there been a leak it would have been potentially serious. Also no working cold water tap is not very convenient.
I have e mailed the company twice and not had the courtesy of a reply. After this review was posted the company did contact me. Apparently the e-mail address I used was not a working address. I replied on the back of a received e-mail. When we rang about the shower not working it was the owner of the property, not the agent. This was not made clear in the property information pack. We presumed we were speaking to the agent. Apologies have been received, and I have agreed to amend my review.

We had a fantastic stay at Avocet Lodge. The lodge itself is beautifully designed – modern, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was sleek and generously sized, and the kitchen had everything we needed for easy self-catering. The highlight was relaxing on the decking with its brilliant view, especially after long walks.

The location was perfect for exploring, with lovely walks from the lodge to the coast, Snettisham beach, and down to Sandringham. Combined with the amazing weather, it made for a truly restorative getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for a wellness retreat.

Dog owners beware!!!
Felt misled by “dog friendly “ accommodation .
Felt like we were more tolerated with a dog , rather than welcomed.
When I reached out to Norfolk hideaways, they just pointed out their terms and conditions to me. No dogs in bedroom, not even on the floor, (in their own bed). As we understood when we booked,it was dog not allowed on the actual bed, not bedroom. Obviously my bad, for not scrutinising the “terms”.
I had to sleep on sofa all week, whilst my wife slept in the bedroom. As our dog normally sleeps on bedroom floor at home.
Also, old throws supplied to put over sofa, before dog allowed up.
These had been stored somewhere for a time, and smelled a bit dank, as when I pulled one out of the “box” of old blankets, little moths came out of them….
Our dog is a 8kg non shedding poodle mix, not a 25 kg Rottweiler!!!!.
That said, dog friendly should mean dog friendly.
Please read the terms closely before booking at their properties.
Definitely not dog friendly!! But tolerated…..

Misleading write up about the Barn as said had outside area to sit in - but found no private outside space, only a bench (broken back) and a garden bench in a carpark. No where to allow the dogs to be free and no where for us to sit without the gaze of all the other cottages
There were 5 adults and 2 dogs in our party, this was known when booking, it was very warm, we needed outside space to sit in the evenings. To sit in a carpark is far from ideal
The barn itself was warm as windows on middle floor did not open very wide, and opened onto a dark wooded area so no free flowing air or views
The barn needed some TLC, screws missing from door handle, master ensuite shower too hot and could not be turned down, fridge small for 5 adults.
The Barn was a good HUB for us but would not return or recommend

This was our second stay in Burnham Market in property managed by Norfolk Hideaways. We had a great time last year but sadly the standard of the accommodation this year was far from satisfactory for numerous reasons. We immediately informed Norfolk Hideaways of the issues and they could not have responded better. They encouraged us to move to another property after one night and we are so grateful that we did this. We moved to Creake Cottage which was spacious, beautifully furnished, with a gorgeous garden and great off road parking. Our holiday was back on track and we had a super time. Things don’t always go smoothly and on this occasion all members of Norfolk Hideaways staff who we dealt with could not have been more understanding and helpful.
