Missing camera - Empty box sent
I tend not to write reviews but I feel compelled to do so after my horrible experience with this company.
I ordered a Canon Camera (around £450) - all smooth until I receive the delivery. A box is delivered, it does not contain a camera, just a handful of accessories such as strap and cover etc.
I feel trapped as royal mail will ofcourse show a successful delivery - the Northfields Trade Limited (from backmarket) claims he has absolutely sent the camera and I am making a fraudulent accusation. The royal mail delivery confirmation does not show that i actually received the item.
I reach back out to backmarket in a panic, only to be met with very cumbersome questioning - all of which i was happy to provide apart from 1 which is out of my control.
They requested ID documentation to be uploaded to a secure link (completed this), they requested confirmation of delivery (i completed this). They however asked for a signed physical police report. I am not sure what they think happens with modern day policing, but when i rang the police, they only logged a crime incident number as "this is a fraudulent crime and we with no known suspect and we will only investigate fraud under certain circumstances" and they verbally stated categorically they are unable to sign a physical police report as all systems are electronic.
I now feel stuck and i am exploring my legal recourse options.
I am more than happy to provide evidence of chats and correspondences with police and backmarket and seller to demonstrate my concerns.
