Scam return policy
Ordering from this shop was smooth and initially looked very promising, but unfortunately it ended up being a real disappointment.
The earrings themselves were not as described or shown in the photos. They look quite cheap and very simple in reality, without any of the sparkle or shine that was advertised. In person they appear pale and underwhelming, and honestly not worth the price.
The biggest issue, however, is the return process. It is extremely customer-unfriendly. You have to pay for the return shipping yourself, which in my case cost 12 EUR, and on top of that they deduct an additional 6 EUR “processing fee” just to check the return. So for a ~70 EUR purchase, you can easily lose almost 20 EUR if you decide to return the item. That feels excessive and very frustrating.
It’s worth mentioning that customer service did respond in a polite and timely manner, which I appreciate.
However, the return policy itself is so inconvenient and costly that it makes the whole shopping experience feel unfair and discouraging.

I was disappointed
I was disappointed. The earring I ordered arrive fine and were lovely. However they were so small and didn't open enough to put in my ear. I tried both sides for a while and never got them in. When I wanted to return it was days between responses and what should have been an easy return took a long time and more effort on my part than it should. While I appreciate the options for returns it shouldn't have taken a week to iniatiate. They also don't post negative review on their site. I tried twice to post a review on their site for those earrings and they were never published. When I looked at all their items I see they only post 4 and 5 start reviews- there is no way I'm the first person to not like what i received.I hate dishonesty in a company- I would have been willing to try other items but the experience put me off from purchasing from them again.

My new favorite jewelry
I have ordered about 15 different items, mostly earrings from OOTDY. I love the quality, styles, & comfort. I have had a couple minor issues, both resolved to my satisfaction with excellent solutions and top notch, personal, customer service. My most recent transaction & the manner which customer resolved it was EXCEPTIONAL. I wanted to try a pair of the flat back earrings. I loved the earrings, but as much as I tried I could not coordinate my hands putting the earring in from the back. OOTDY resolved the issue by letting me keep the earrings, issuing a store credit for the cost of the orginal order, only deducting $15! I used the credit on a different style earring for myself & gave my 20 year old granddaughter the flat back earrings. That is a HUGE win in my book. I would also mention I have ordered the mystery box 3 different times (I'm a sucker for that surprise) & have been satisfied every time. Lastly, OOTDY's packaging is very pretty. Earrings have all been in a small velvet pouch, a nice box with a pretty black bow. I (and most people) don't need that much jewelry, but I like the joy it brings. Great job OOTDY!

In good faith
In good faith, I requested an exchange instead of return on an order back in November. Since then I have placed three separate orders, trying to use the store credit and every time my order has been canceled due to “problems with the supplier.” The communication from customer service has been simultaneously wordy and nonspecific. I have twice now requested a refund since they have been unable to fulfill any orders and it’s been four months. I’m hoping that OOTDY does the right thing and issues the refund so that I can avoid having to file a formal complaint with my credit card company. It’s been a whole lot of hassle, and I feel like I’ve been duped!
