Outsurance is blaming me and harassing me with an accident which I wasn't even involved in, keep phoning me and when I eventually answered to tell them off she asked my email address to send through the 'payment plan' of said accident which I already told her I wasn't even involved in. I was nowhere near the area on that date and couldn't have been in an accident as my car was at the mechanic shop anyway. The harassment sms and emails don't even have the same claim/ ref number. If this is the new scam to try and make innocent people pay because you don't want to pay out your own client is pretty pathetic. stuffed up paperwork and wrong details of persons involved in an accident is just the tip of the ice berg of what's going on in OUTsurance. 👎🏻

be very very careful with this company and be even more carefull with the lies they spread through the media.they do not care and wont care about you or your issues.they will only pay the bare minimum and will do everything they can to stall the claim so as to not pay out.my house burnt down,i am now in a worse position than i was before the fire.and am several thousand out of pocket.and dont get me started on the below average companies they use just to save money,money which is not passed on to the client.

I will like to tell u about my great helpful and insightful experience that I had recently. My new car was bumped and there was a dent and my side mirror was damaged. My husband called outsurance and we where referred to VDS auto body in Roodepoort. I arrived there and find white tiles on the walls been cleaned, the placed looked like a restaurant. I also met the owner Mr Wynand and what a friendly, professional person.

I never seen a person taking so much pride in her daily work. Ntate Joe is the agent that was helping me with the bookings and updates to the day I collected my car. I also met Ronaldo who pressed my car to perfection. This team loves their job.

OUTsurance is one of the most deceptive and unethical insurance companies that is currently plaguing South Africa. They are more interested in committing legal fraud, than serving their customers
In 2022 I applied to OUTsurance for out and about cover on my laptop. During the initial sales consultation in acquiring the policy. The sales consultant didn’t highlight the fact that theft out of motor Vehicle due to remote jamming was not covered, neither did he highlight the part of the policy, where it stated that to be covered by theft out of motor vehicle, the vehicle needed to have physical damages.
When my belongings were stolen from my boot, due to thieves’ remote jamming my car and stealing my car contents. OUTsurance refused to pay the total value of a R50 000 rand claim and instead reduced the value by 50%. They stated that they were doing me a “favour” since they don’t cover theft by remote jamming of a vehicle. Upon inspection of the policy, there is no clause that states anything to do with remote jamming. Only a clause that states the vehicle must have physical damage. Hence, they probably decided that they don’t want to pay the claim due to circumstances
Given point above this means that OUTsurance doesn’t want to acknowledge the fact that within Gauteng there has been a significant increase in theft out of motor vehicles due to remote jamming. Hence the current policy is discriminating against people who have encountered a theft by means of remote jamming. Criminals are becoming more sophisticated by the day and clearly OUTsurance policies are not covering their customers for the latest criminal methods.
So essentially OUTsurance defrauded me of fifty percent of my claim. They sold me a policy under false pretence that my contents would be insured if they were secured in my vehicle, not mentioning that remote jamming was not covered. This was only mentioned after my claim was submitted.

Please do not use OUTsurance for your needs. They are unethical, non-transparent and deceptive company that is only interested in cashing your premiums and not honouring your claims. They will use whatever tricky policy clause that is not emphasised to you to defraud you of your claim. They are not interested in assisting their customers, but rather exploiting them.

THEY DON'T DESERVE A STAR!Worst Company ever! They should actually not do business!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....NOT FOR HOME OWNERS, AUTO, OR LIFE INSURANCE...simply put, they won't ever payout your claims and they will re-victimize you over and over again in your darkest hours.
It started with my house being broken into and as a single women at night with a broken window, they did NOTHING... left me to call around to get it fixed the NEXT DAY while I went thru the night with an open house. I had to pay for my own window to be fixed while they were trying to get to it and only paid me SIX MONTHS LATER for the broken window.... but NOT for my loss of household contents. After canceling my policy and threatening to go to the Ombudsman, they finally after 7 months, gave me a partial payout as they said they were going to quickly sort out the rest of the loss. Now after 1 year, they tell me yesterday that my acceptance of that partial payout was acceptance of the claim settled!!! They will NEVER respond to emails because then everything is in writing and the phone calls, which they say are recorded, quickly get lost when needed. And to top it off, they continued to pull money from my account for MONTHS after canceling my policy multiple times. With Outsurance you don't have to worry about robbers breaking in, they are the real thieves.
And if this review is still up, you can know that no matter what their response is here, they have never made it right. If they did, I'd take it down....but until then, I'm going to post this EVERYWHERE I can and hopefully cost their shady business more then I ever lost

Iutsurance don't care about long term clients.

Rude advisors and protected by there management.

Going to cancel and look for a new provider.

Iphone insured for 19000 pay out 12000 they are playing the game of old model

If only OUTSOURANCE can honor their word... They will OUTSHINE any one....It's not just about a claim...it's beyond that...Like for instance my latest interaction...A senior member and spoke on Friday.... late afternoon...so we agreed for Monday ten o clock... Come ten o clock... rescheduled...(My response...ok in my favor I updated their info)...How ever I impatiently awaiting the call. Since the OUT...I did send several emails...who goes to an automated no response.
Something could have went wrong...because the person who assisting me was excellent... extremely pleasant and was willing to try and resolve the situation.... This is a straight forward substandard workmanship by the Outsourance provider...need to be sorted...This in NOT a claim...I am willing to work with OUTSURACE...If they can wear my shoes just for two hours not two years...Since the job as been done we left EVERYTHING this as his for whoever wants to visit and see for themselves... Although...in such unpleasant condition

I have experienced a loss of a loved one everything from extremely bad weather conditions to electricity outages in Dbn north 48 hrs with no lights and was extremely hot the team of consultants Iris and Harrilal account and claims etc was so supportive highly recommend Jn Visser neshana bharath

Outsurance is not a good insurer. Go start with a broker.
They promise u everything but nothing happens. These days they are advertising left right and centre.
They are losing clients to better insurers.
I won't ever insure with them.

Been with OUTsurance for two years and was in an accident earlier this year. A man drove into me after running a red light while I was exiting a four way intersection in Table View. I honestly could have been killed. OUTsurance failed to collect intersection video footage from the traffic department. After months of following up from myself they wouldn’t pay my access back because their reason to me was that the accident could have been avoided from my side.

Don’t waste your time with this company. It’s not worth the stress or effort.

The best advertising, the worst service delivery.

Had to wait over 40 minutes for the agent to return my call. Had to wait on the road side, in the dark for over an hour for a tow truck. My vehicle was taken to an unauthorized location and stored for 5 nights without Outsurance knowing of its whereabouts (until I had advised them via the tracking unit). The Claims manager was awfully rude and disrespectful. He even fed me with false locations of the vehicle without the knowledge of me tracking the vehicle daily. 5 days have gone by and my vehicle hasn't been assessed due to Outsurance's incompetence. The WORST insurance company to deal with. Premiums go off on time but they waste your time when an incident occurs.

Most horrible insurance company to deal with. Avoid at all costs. Quiick to debit slow to resolve a claim. Will look at every avenue to avoid a payout.
Staff lack basic empathy, and are all about not paying out. Disgusted to an entire new level. Safe to say my entire business assurance portfolio will be moved immediately without a doubt in mind.

Was skeptic because of the low reviews at first, but everything went fine for me. :) No worries

PATHETIC INSURANCE COMPANY!!

Been with Outsurance for years. Never had issues until I put in a claim. Oh my word the excuses they come up with to not settle.

Bought a house 7 years ago and all was fine and they were happy with everything and quick to take on my monthly installments.

Now I have problems with the sand movement on the property which caused my braai wall move away from main structure. My boundry walls also cracked.

Put in claim, assessor came out, engineer came out and said they won't pay due to some bull....t.
Anything to get out settling anything.

had been with Outsurance for over 6 and a half years. CLAIM FREE for all these years as well. If you are working and have Outsurance, BEWARE, the moment you loose your job, Outsurance will increase your premiums as they have done with me. When I inquired why, I was told that unemployed people are a higher risk of meeting an accident than employed people because employed people just drive to work only, unemployed people drive everywhere. So, in summary, when you are unemployed you have money you fill up over R20 a litre petrol with no income what so ever and go joy riding. Employed people, who earn a salary, just drive in congested traffic with thousands of vehicles, to work and back home, so their risk is lower. Apparently employed people go to work and back home and no where else. OMG. Outsurance is full of nonsense. I have moved my insurance to a more reputable company, have lower premiums and get rewards monthly instead of Outsurance's annual out bonus. Wish I had done this earlier. I guess I was blinded by the annual out bonus to see the company was just only interested in premiums rather than good drivers who remain claim free for over 6 years. No one can be certain that they will always be employed. DO U WANT YO TAKE A CHANCE AND STAY WITH OUTSURANCE? DONT GET BLINDED BY THEIR OUT BONUS!!!. They will leave you high and dry when you been them the most.

I've been with Outsurance for close to three years now.

I have a business insurance policy with Outsurance, where I pay over R5000 per month. On June 14th, I was the victim of an armed robbery. I've sent through CCTV footage, the official call log from my security company, my telephone location and billing data, photos of all gear stolen, serial numbers, the make, model, color, and registration number of my vehicle, and everything in between. To date, they have still not paid out my claim. All they have to offer are excuses. They refuse to answer what the delay is, and they continue subtracting my total premium, even though most of my gear was stolen.

The assessor working on my claim is lax in answering my e-mails, and I constantly have to query from my side for updates. E-mails and letters from my attorney are being ignored.

By far the worst service I have ever received. I can honestly say that I do not recommend Outsurance to anyone. More headaches and hassles than anything else, and your gear is not safe when it is insured with them.

I am Super impressed with the service I received from Outsurance during my claims process.
Fast, efficient and friendly is only a few words that spring to mind.

It is refreshing too see a company keeping to its word with a smile at this day and age in South Africa!

Outsurance Outbonus - a complete scam. I received a letter at the end of three years insurance congratulating me on my Outbonus of >17,000 Rand (1000 USD). Outsurance never paid it despite three follow up calls where the phone agent kept saying they would ask management and 'come back to me'. Avoid like the plague. - Such a scam.
