I did the Great Leeds Walk on Saturday. There were three distances 10, 18 and 25 miles. I opted for the ten miles which I knew would take me over 5 hours. I was apprehensive about even starting as it was the first 10 miles of the 25 mile route and this route finished up the steps from Otley to Surprise View.
I spoke to Phil at the start who stated there was no problem being slow.
I set off and within half a mile all other walkers were out of site. Marshals Dan and Tom started walking with me. Tom soon went on to escort other walkers.
Dan was brilliant, let me go at my pace, let me stop whenever I wanted and took drinks out of my rucsac to save me taking it off. He couldn't have been more helpful.
The last half mile up the steps to Surprise View took me 80 minutes. Dan and another marshal never tried to rush me.
At the top ,and my finish, I phoned my wife to collect me. Dan insisted on staying until she picked me up.
Having seen other reviews they are normally of the longer well known walks with similar comments about the marshals
Having completed my personnel challenge of ten miles, I would recommend this organization for any of their walks.

Recently I did the National Three Peaks with Overlimits and what an amazing time we had! Phil and the two Dave’s were just what we needed when taking part in a gruelling challenge. They were all great fun, knowledgable and most importantly we all felt safe with them as our guides. I would 100% recommend.

Did the National Three Peaks for Martin House Children's Hospice and it was organised and run by Overlimits. Every element was brilliantly organised, the two Daves were great guides, and Phil a fantastic driver. Absolutely loved it

On Saturday I walked two of the three peaks with Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The guides provided from Overlimits were brilliant from the start. Welcoming us all on arrival, registration, briefing and walking with us, their advice and conversation were excellent. My group spent a lot of our time with Nick, he was extremely patient yet encouraging and was happy to walk at our pace, often stopping to let us catch up before taking on certain parts.

I had a truly inspiring experience at the Walk to the Light event. My favourite part of the evening was the incredible sense of open community and the opportunity to share stories with others. There was a genuine atmosphere of connection throughout the walk that made the experience feel meaningful and uplifting.

The route was seamless and very well organised. I particularly appreciated the balance between challenge and achievement—it felt like a journey that encouraged reflection while giving a real sense of accomplishment by the end.

I would absolutely recommend this event to others. It’s a unique opportunity to connect with people, enjoy a shared experience, and take time to reflect in a supportive environment.

One idea for future events would be to involve colleges or younger people, helping to spread the powerful message that time can be a form of medicine and healing.

Thank you to everyone involved in creating such a memorable and positive experience.

We had a great day on Thursday 28th May 2026 when over 100 of us assembled at Horton in Craven at 7am to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in memory of my daughter Abi who tragically passed away earlier this year shortly after the birth of her baby. Despite electrical storms swirling in the area first thing Phil and his team re routed us so all three peaks were achievable during the day. Safety was paramount but also a determination not to give up. The sun shone for us after Pen y Ghent and it was brilliant day to mark the memory of a wonderful girl and raise funds for her baby son.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to organise an event large or small. You will be well organised, nothing too much trouble and in very safe hands.

Fantastic Day organised by Phil Dave and the whole team. A big group- over 100 of us doing the three peaks led brilliantly. We felt safe and taken care of with great direction and leadership and a lot of fun too.

Phil, Dave and Alan from Overlimits provided an excellent service to our Team of 17 Wilton walkers last week. Their knowledge and experience ensured we were well prepared for the challenge ahead and their guidance throughout the day was superb. Together with fantastic weather everyone had a great time and finished in 10 hrs. I highly recommend Overlimits for your outdoor events, we certainly will be using them again. Thanks guys.

Well organised by extremely professional and patient staff. Recently completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge and the Overlimits staff were there every step of the way to support and advise.

We worked with Overlimits to organise a Yorkshire 3 Peaks walk for supporters of our charity to raise funds through sponsorship. They were a pleasure to work with, communication was great and their stewarding of our walkers on the day was exemplary. Very competent guides, and more importantly fantastic at looking after and engaging with our walkers. Highly recommended and we hope to work with them again in future.

Wow, that was difficult. The over limit team where the from start to finish, helping and pushing all the way. Even when I had a bit of a melt down and moan Dave 2 was very professional and just was there with us. Thanks

Wowza!!!! What a hike this was. I joined this event a couple of months ago to raise money for the Teesside Charity and to do 40 miles for my 40th year. Saturdays hike was a total mixture of emotions! It was gruelling, horrific and tough in places, glorious, fun and epic in others and everything in between. By far the hardest event i've done. But ... through the full 18hours the OverLimits crew were there checking on our safety and well being and guided us through this amazing walk from Osmotherley to Ravenscar. From the first 5-10 miles splits were shown amongst the 40 people taking part, but there was plenty of guides to take each pack at their 'desired' speed. 5th in and the one-off medal Phil gave me at the end made it all worth while. When's the next ......????

Successfully completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks walk for York & Scarborough Hospital Charity. I honestly could not have done this without the support and encouragement of the wonderful Overlimits team! They are amazing 🤩. Prior to the event the opportunity was available to participate in training walks, and advice on kit required. The safety of all participants was ensured, no one was left behind unsupported. A huge heartfelt thank you ❤️

I knew the Y3P was hard but didn’t appreciate how hard. I don’t think I would have completed it if it hadn’t been for the guidance from our guide and his quiet confidence and encouragement.

I completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks with Overlimits. They were brilliant - all staff really knowledgeable and approachable with easy communication before the event. The Three Peaks Challenge with Over Limits!

It was one of the most memorable experiences I will ever have, whilst the challenge itself felt challenging and also amazing (thank you Great British weather) being guided by the team was far from a challenge, it was a joy.

They provided details of everything we could/would/should need and we were well informed from start to finish, they really couldn’t have equipped us more for the day.

The guides on the day were also so supportive (high five to Les) and genuinely made the experience for me.

I want to give a special shout out to the top dog Phil. What a guy, he gave me a pep talk when I needed it, provided the banter when I needed it, lobbed a chocolate bar at me when I needed it and was just generally great.

I feel really lucky to have had such a great team on the day and couldn’t recommend Over Limits highly enough.

We use Overlimits to run our charity Three Peaks event. The team do a fanastic job at co-ordinating the event and making sure it's safe for our walkers. They help keep everyone's spirits high, and the events are really well organised. So much so, that we are considering other events we can do with them. I'd recommend using them.
